Chapter 325: Exposure

Chapter 325: Chapter 325: Exposure

"Li Feng is a bit mysterious," Han Dong said with a hint of frustration. "I tried to look him up on the internal network, but his information has restricted access. I’ve already filed a report with the director, but I guess we won’t hear back until tomorrow."

"Restricted access?" Jin Beibei also felt a little surprised when she heard this. After all, not just anyone had the credentials to have their information restricted.

Who exactly was this Li Feng?

"Alright, I had someone take you back home, get some good rest for the day, and come back to work at the special case unit tomorrow."

After Han Dong finished speaking, he arranged for someone to send Jin Beibei home, then left the hospital with his team, his work still unfinished.

Like the question that had arisen in Jin Beibei’s mind, Han Dong too had a belly full of doubts. Where exactly did Li Feng come from? He thought of the Morse code message sent earlier by Li Feng. The other party’s arrangements were nothing short of brilliant.

He even began to suspect that Li Feng might be an undercover colleague; otherwise, why would he not expose Jin Beibei and go to great lengths to help her?

Like what happened today—if they hadn’t received the message in time, Jin Beibei would’ve likely suffered at the hands of that rich second generation, a thought that made Han Dong shudder, because Jin Beibei was far more than just a female police officer.

Her father was also his mentor.

Using this incident, the other party had rescued Jin Beibei and also planned to take advantage of the exposure; their skill in leveraging a situation was expert and shrewd.

"Boss, we’ve bought everything."

Li Feng hummed in approval, ordering Green Hair to have people hold Zhou Meng down on the table. Zhou Meng struggled fiercely, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Li Feng.

"Go ahead and kill me if you’ve got the guts, but if I frown, I’m your grandson," Zhou Meng defied.

Li Feng looked at Zhou Meng, clicking his tongue.

"Hanging in there for so long and still so lively, you really are tenacious," Li Feng glanced at Zhou Meng, then took out a pair of rubber gloves from the bag they’d bought and put them on, followed by a bottle of disinfectant alcohol. He opened the bottle cap and poured it over Zhou Meng’s bullet wound.

"Ah!"

Zhou Meng’s body shuddered as his wound came into contact with the alcohol, and he struggled more violently.

"Hold him down!"

"You bastard Zhao, if you don’t kill me, I’ll kill you...!" Zhou Meng’s eyes were blood-red as he roared.

Green Hair and others looked on, their hearts pounding with fear.

Li Feng pulled out a knife, turning his head to look at Zhou Meng: "To want to kill me, you’ll have to stay alive first."

Li Feng curled the corner of his mouth into a faint smile. Zhou Meng shivered again, "You son of a bitch, why don’t you just finish it quickly?"

Li Feng ignored Zhou Meng’s shouting. He used a lighter to sterilize the knife, then cut open the bullet wound. He picked up the tweezers and directly probed into the injury.

At this action, Zhou Meng’s eyes bulged from the pain. Li Feng ignored Zhou Meng’s grimacing face and after stirring with the tweezers for a bit, he clamped onto a bullet and tossed it aside.

Then he poured half a bottle of alcohol into the wound once more. Taking a piece of gauze with medicine, he pressed it onto the wound and secured it with bandages, finishing the job.

"Passed out already?"

Li Feng looked at the unconscious Zhou Meng, then turned to Green Hair: "Splash water on him to wake him up."

At this moment, Green Hair felt his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys all trembling. This boss was truly ruthless; this wasn’t so much bullet extraction as it was a form of torture.

Zhou Meng had finally fainted, yet they intended to wake him up again, as if wanting to torment him to death.

Ruthless enough.

Green Hair felt incredibly relieved that he had knelt so quickly; otherwise, he might have ended up with the same fate.

Zhou Meng was abruptly awakened by a bucket of water. Li Feng followed the same procedure and dug out two more bullets. Zhou Meng was in so much pain he was numb and couldn’t even swear anymore.

Li Feng finished bandaging Zhou Meng and then had him thrown directly onto a march bed – whether he could survive was now up to his fate.

After this simple and crude surgery, even the green-haired guys were thoroughly convinced by Li Feng’s ruthlessness; not hesitating to shoot people, he had become a tough guy. Who could have imagined this man extracting bullets with just a knife and a pair of tweezers?

It was almost an inhuman feat.

Bai Lang was sleeping in one of his secret apartments when a string of phone calls rang, making him a little annoyed as he picked up the phone.

"Don’t you see what time it is? If it’s nothing urgent, I’ll kill you," Bai Lang snarled.

"Brother Lang, it’s urgent, very urgent," the voice on the other end trembled.

"Speak, what’s the matter?" Bai Lang took a deep breath and asked coldly.

"The girl sent to Wan Shao, she’s not simple. Just as Wan Shao was about to enjoy himself, the cops barged into the room and arrested him."

"What?" Bai Lang immediately sat up. "Are you sure about the news?"

"Brother Lang, we followed them outside, the news is absolutely certain; that Jin Peipei is definitely an undercover."

"I see," Bai Lang said as he ended the call without another word, immediately calling Kang Yu. However, Kang Yu didn’t answer right away; after all, it was already the wee hours, and this Young Master Yu was probably also ’exercising.’

Bai Lang thought for a moment and immediately made a call to his subordinate Zhou Meng.

"Master Lang."

"Who is this? Where’s Zhou Meng?" Bai Lang immediately became alert when he heard the voice on the other end wasn’t right.

"Master Lang, it’s me, Green Hair, the one right beside Brother Zhou."

"Where’s Zhou Meng?"

"Brother Zhou drank too much, he’s sleeping right now. Master Lang, if you have any orders just tell me."

Bai Lang cursed; this Zhou Meng, choosing the worst time to get dead drunk: "Green Hair, I’m asking you, where is that Zhao Chaotian who was sent to you today?"

"Oh, the new guy? He’s also sleeping. Master Lang, do you need him? I can go wake him up for you," Green Hair offered.

"No need, hang up."

Bai Lang hung up and after a moment of contemplation, dressed and left his apartment. He then started making calls to gather people. Thinking that Li Feng was skilled in martial arts, he called some people and also had weapons prepared.

"Brother Tian, what does Master Lang mean by this?" Green Hair looked at the hung-up phone, confused. Li Feng squinted his eyes, "Who knows what he’s thinking. Go about your business as usual."

It seemed that Jin Beibei must have been rescued, and his move to startle the snake by beating the grass had worked.

An hour later.

At the dock warehouse.

"Brother Lang."

"Brother Lang."

Bai Lang got out of the car and turned to look around: "How many people came?"

"I called all the underlings over."
