Chapter 274: Chapter 274: Two Words for You

"Do you really want to help me repay the money?"

Chu Shiyu pushed open the car door, her heart filled with mixed feelings. After all, there are no free favors in this world. The other person not only advanced her medical expenses but also offered to help her repay her debts. Who would believe he didn’t have other ulterior motives?

The most annoying thing was that he even put on an appearance of a genuinely good person.

What was his game? Did he want her to throw herself into his arms willingly?

Men truly are scheming.

Li Feng opened the trunk and took out a briefcase, the electric car door closed automatically. Li Feng looked at Chu Shiyu, "I’m free anyway, by solving your worries, you can also concentrate on working for me."

After Li Feng finished speaking, he glanced at the old building, which had a few signs on the exterior wall. One of them was a small loan company.

Li Feng stepped into the building, and Chu Shiyu, standing behind, bit her lip and sighed lightly. Could she even refuse now? Obviously not.

The moment the other party paid the hospital bills, she had fallen into the palm of his hand.

If this fate was predestined, then let it be. She was too tired to struggle.

The old building didn’t have an elevator. They reached the third floor via the stairs where a sudden scream echoed in the dimly lit corridor.

Chu Shiyu instinctively hid behind Li Feng, "Be careful in a bit, they...!" Chu Shiyu stopped halfway through her sentence, feeling her concerns might be excessive.

"Don’t worry, we’re here to repay money, right?"

Li Feng turned and pointed at a door, Chu Shiyu nodded, "Mhm."

Li Feng pushed open the door, and immediately a strong odor hit them. As they entered, Li Feng scanned the loan office, several burly men sat on the sofa eating instant noodles, and continuous moans could be heard from the back room.

"What’s going on?"

"Isn’t this Chu Binghe’s sister?" one of the burly men on the sofa noticed Chu Shiyu behind Li Feng.

"Heizi said he was going to collect debts today and got beaten up. That wasn’t you, was it?"

The men put down their bowls and looked menacingly at Li Feng.

"Heizi, come out and see who’s here."

A tattooed man turned and shouted toward the back room. In no more than two seconds, the door was pulled open, and a man with a crew cut drenched in blood on his boxing gloves stepped out.

"It’s you."

The crew-cut young man’s sharp gaze swept over Li Feng and Chu Shiyu. After all, they had parted just half a day ago, and he hadn’t lost his memory; how could he forget this meddlesome Li Feng.

"What are you doing here?"

The crew-cut young man removed his boxing gloves and tossed them aside, glaring aggressively at Li Feng.

Chu Shiyu obviously held a fear for these people and subconsciously hid behind Li Feng, who threw the briefcase onto the table.

"I am here to repay her debt."

"Here is one million, bring the IOU." Li Feng didn’t waste words. The burly men watched as he opened the briefcase and extended a stack, which they took and subtly nodded to each other.

"This money might not be enough."

The crew-cut young man glanced at the briefcase and looked coldly at Li Feng.

"Not enough?"

"How much do you owe them?"

Li Feng hadn’t actually asked for a specific amount; Chu Shiyu stepped forward looking towards the other end, "Why isn’t it enough? My brother owes you two hundred thousand; even with high-interest rates, it shouldn’t inflate to a million."

The crew-cut young man looked at Chu Shiyu with a cold smile.

"When I say it’s not enough, it’s not enough. This one million covers your brother’s gambling debt, but we still need to settle the scores for the beating."

"Close the Gate."

The buzz-cut youth sneered coldly, and the iron security gate behind him closed with a clang, locking immediately.

"Last time at the hospital, I let you escape, but I never thought you’d walk right into the trap. Should I praise your courage or call you a fool?"

"What do you take us for?"

The buzz-cut youth said arrogantly, picking up a baseball bat and twisting his neck while the other brawny men sneered and glared aggressively from the side.

"Kneel down."

"First call me ’Grandpa’ and let me hear it."

Li Feng exhaled. "Isn’t it better to just take the money and shut up? Why pretend?"

"Pretending requires strength."

"Stop your senseless babbling. I’m the one who really knows how to pretend. Kneel. Do you hear me? Otherwise, I’ll smash your head in."

The buzz-cut youth’s steel pipe was almost touching Li Feng’s nose. Li Feng looked up, his movement lightning-fast as he grabbed the steel pipe, his mouth curling into a cold sneer as he pulled it towards him.

The buzz-cut youth stumbled forward, and Li Feng kicked directly at a spot three inches below his opponent’s navel.

Thud.

The buzz-cut youth’s lower body flew up, and he landed directly on his knees. Li Feng, holding the stolen pipe, began to ruthlessly beat him down.

The youth stared at the pipe, his eyes bulging, his body involuntarily tensing so much that his pants became wet.

The pipe halted steadily an inch away from the youth. Li Feng clicked his tongue, observing his opponent with a sneer.

"I thought you had some real skills, the way you were being so brash. Look, you’ve wet yourself already."

Li Feng sneered lightly, then looked up at the other brawny men. "If anyone here disagrees, come at me. If you’re too scared, just bring me the IOU."

"And she’s under my protection from now on. If I hear anyone hassling her again, well..."

Li Feng gave a chilling smile, which sent a shiver through the brawny men. This fellow was ruthless. Even Blast, a tough guy among them, was played with easily.

Blast, the buzz-cut youth, was turning deep red, utterly humiliated. If word of this got out, how could he ever show his face in the underworld again?

Blast suddenly grabbed a fruit knife from a side table and lunged at Li Feng’s waist.

Li Feng had already sensed his movement. So much for a sneak attack, picking up a knife and then twisting to stab—it was just a waste of movement.

Li Feng elegantly dodged. The fruit knife swiped past the front of his body as he gripped down hard on his assailant’s wrist.

Ah.

Blast felt a numbness in his wrist, and the knife slipped from his hand. Li Feng caught the handle in midair, his fingers flicking, spinning the knife in expert arcs.

Li Feng hit back, smacking the handle against Blast’s face. Blast staggered back, and Li Feng turned around, the knife in his hand gleaming coldly as it fluttered through the air like a butterfly.

Hiss.

A master at knife handling.

That thought crossed the brawny men’s minds. They were lucky they hadn’t rushed up earlier. Coming here alone, even after an assault, one couldn’t lack confidence.

It seemed like Blast really had hit an iron board this time.

After a flash of knife light, Li Feng withdrew the blade and flung the fruit knife, grazing Blast’s cheek before sticking in the wall.

"These two words, I give to you."

"Be humble in life, don’t pretend—pretenders are easily struck by Thunder."

Chu Shiyu couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Blast’s chest, the ridiculous sight making her burst out laughing.
