"Also, I wrote ’endure.’ Where do you see any flair in that?"

"Isn’t the character supposed to have flair?"

Li Feng retorted, making Wang Tiandao almost choke. It truly was casting pearls before swine. What do young people today know about calligraphy? Li Feng probably didn’t even know where he copied these flattering words from; they were completely mismatched.

His ’endure’ character was about restraint and hidden sharpness, nothing airy about it.

"Hmm." The Old Grand Dame hummed and, looking up while holding her prayer beads, glanced at Wang Jin’er, "Jin’er, come here."

As soon as Wang Jin’er heard the Old Grand Dame’s call, she walked over to her side, "Grandma."

The old lady’s gaze then fell on Li Feng, "Family issues naturally fall under the eldest—the Family Head to manage. If you brothers have any grievances, speak them out here in this hall; correct what may be wrong, encourage where there is none, a family shouldn’t have unspoken misgivings."

The old lady set the tone and then stopped talking, silently turning her prayer beads.

Wang Tiandao picked up the tea from the table and didn’t start talking; the others seated at the lower end exchanged glances.
