Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Provocation or Flirtation

Ma He turned his chair to look at the woman striding briskly into the room like the wind, a faint fragrance rushing over, causing Ma He, who was almost forty, to suddenly tense up.

Although the new arrival was only in her late twenties, she held two doctoral degrees, with striking beauty and a top-notch figure, her ear-length short hair exuding efficiency.

Of course, the most defining characteristic of this immediate superior was her icy, glacier-like coldness.

It sent shivers down one’s spine.

"Director Luan, the firewall has been breached," Ma He said, unable to muster any pretense. Their work had been sloppy, and they had been beaten hollow; there was simply no ground for argument.

"Breach? For how long has it even been? And even if it has been breached, are you just going to stand here and watch? We don’t pay you to drink tea and chat all day."

"Move aside."

Luan Bing pushed Ma He away and sat down at the computer, her fingers long and pale like those of a pianist, darting swiftly across the keyboard.

"Director, our access has been kicked, and we’ve already tried our best. The other side is just too strong."

"Too strong? I think it’s more like you’re too weak. Now, start keeping your mouths shut."

Internet cafe private room.

Sun Yutong listened to the sound of Li Feng’s keyboard clatter like a sudden storm, and turned her head in surprise to look at him. Watching him completely focused on his typing, she couldn’t help but shift her feet to peer over from behind the computer.

But all she saw on the screen were black boxes and a stream of binary numbers she could not understand at all.

However, this seemed like the work of a hacker—Sun Yutong had seen Hacker Empire; could he be a hacker too?

"Oh?"

Li Feng suddenly paused. Someone was challenging him for control and trying to track his traces. After a brief thought, he typed a line and sent it across.

"Just borrowing your surveillance, thanks."

Control center.

Li Feng’s words, in the form of a scrolling message, were projected onto the screens, not just on the computer face-to-face but on all the computers in the control center, including the giant projection screen.

Ma He, upon seeing this message, subconsciously let out a sigh of relief. The opponent was not targeting the control center intentionally, and that was a relief. He feared hackers who acted maliciously; that would be a significant problem.

After all, the control center managed the traffic light system across all of Sea City’s streets. If the hacker wreaked havoc, the city’s entire traffic system would spiral out of control, potentially causing immense damage.

Ma He felt relieved, but Luan Bing, seated at the computer, felt as though she had been slapped in the face. This was no mere borrowing—this was a clear challenge directed at her.

Without hesitation, she not only refused to stop but began to harness her resources to launch a counterattack.

Li Feng frowned. The equipment in the internet cafe was not professional-grade. Although decent for the market, it fell short in a top-level network battle.

If not for the "King’s Way" aiding him, he might not have withstood her counterattack. Of course, Li Feng was also holding back, not exerting his full strength, nor intending to cause destruction, or else she would have had no chance to counter.

As Li Feng constructed a defensive firewall, he simultaneously opened a small program and began entering the surveillance segments he wanted to find.

With a rough time frame and some basic information, it should not be hard to locate.

Distractedly managing three tasks at once, Li Feng soon accessed the storage of the surveillance center. The street cameras automatically retained footage for two weeks, and since the incident occurred less than an hour ago, it was retrievable.

"Is it this car?" Li Feng suddenly pointed at a black commercial vehicle and asked Sun Yutong, who stood quietly by like a virgin. She glanced at the screen, then at the license plate.

"Yes, yes, that’s the one."

Li Feng hummed in acknowledgment and began tracking the black commercial vehicle’s route, which required some time.

On the other end, the small program controlled by Li Feng completed its task. With a press of the Enter key, a video image appeared on the screen.

"Oh, a beauty it is."

Sun Yutong looked at the screen in surprise as a face popped up.

Li Feng felt a bit of astonishment in his heart as well, having not expected that the person he’d been playing with for so long was a woman, a woman in her twenties with a somewhat aloof expression on her face.

"Beauty, you’re a bit too competitive, huh."

Li Feng sent another message to his opponent, Luan Bing saw it, and the programmers beside him were stunned, "Brother Ma, how come the person we’re dealing with is our boss’s woman?"

Ma He let out a sigh, "Do we even need to ask? The other party has taken control of the video cameras on our computers, and now they’re watching everything here."

"Luan Bing, female, twenty-eight years old, unmarried, a double Ph.D. in network security and network technology..."

Li Feng’s words scrolled across the large screen, clearly a warning, and Luan Bing slammed her hands down onto the keyboard with a bang.

"This is intolerable."

"Wow, you’re getting angry."

Li Feng continued to tease his opponent, and Luan Bing’s chest heaved with anger as she suddenly leaned forward towards the camera, speaking word by word.

"I know you can see and hear me, stop immediately, or I won’t let you off the hook, even if you’re at the ends of the earth."

"I will catch you myself and put you in jail."

Luan Bing raged at Li Feng, who was behind the screen.

Watching the furious Luan Bing, Li Feng curled the edges of his lips and sent back three words directly.

"Black ones."

The programmers and Ma He standing behind her were all dumbfounded. What did he mean by "black ones"?

From the angle of the camera, it looked like.

This hacking expert still had the nerve to flirt with the ice queen. His gall was truly impressive.

Luan Bing was startled for a moment, then quickly realized the meaning behind those three words, and hurriedly reached to cover her neckline.

"Pervert."

Li Feng pursed his lips, sending another message, "But you’re the one who let me see, how does that make me the pervert? Make some sense, woman."

Gurgle.

Standing behind Luan Bing, Ma He could clearly sense a chill in the air. Expert brother, is it possible for us to dial it back a bit? Don’t you know the old saying, ’Only petty men and women are difficult to maintain’?

You pissing her off is one thing, but they’re the ones who will suffer the consequences.

Luan Bing stood up in anger, but she had no way to deal with him. With her ability, she couldn’t touch him in the short term, which made her feel frustrated.

You should know that she had been hired back at a high salary, draped in glory and honor, and this Thousand-Mile Eye system was her masterpiece. She’d even assured her superiors about how good, high-end, and classy this system was.

The words were still fresh, but in an instant, this bastard had made her eat them.

How could Luan Bing not be furious?

Inside the internet café, Li Feng watched the business car enter a clubhouse complex, the Heavenly Palace. He hadn’t expected that anyone would dare use such a name for a clubhouse.

Having found where the car went, Li Feng started to withdraw and began clearing his own traces.

Of course, he didn’t forget to say thanks.

"The system’s permissions are back."

"Check what’s lost, see what he’s tampered with," Luan Bing commanded as she typed on her keyboard, trying to catch Li Feng’s tail.

But this was bound to disappoint Luan Bing.

"Heavenly Palace, that’s a high-end clubhouse, you need status to get in there."
