Chapter 145: The Unconventional An Gege

Chapter 145: Chapter 145: The Unconventional An Gege

"Zidong, just say the word, and we’ll deal with him."

Hearing Li Zidong’s roar, a rich second-generation heir blurted out next to him. Although everyone was shocked to see the skilled fighter go down, in their eyes, he was nothing more than a top-notch combatant.

Getting someone isn’t just about using fists.

Who are they, after all? They’re people with family backgrounds and power. Daring to slap someone in the face like that isn’t just humiliating one person—it’s a cause they all naturally rally behind.

And there are perks to it.

This rich heir couldn’t find a way to get in with Zidong from Jin City; now that he saw an opportunity right in front of him, how could he not cherish it?

"Do you have a plan?"

Li Zidong turned his head to look at the rich second-generation who had spoken up.

"Zidong, it’s no big deal for us to deal with someone. Maybe the guy can fight, but so what?"

"Our power never came from fighting. It’s about connections, networking, background, money."

"As long as he stays in Huacheng, we can strip him of everything, making him achieve nothing, to the point that no one dares come near him."

"We can isolate him completely. Everyone will avoid him like the plague. I don’t believe he can withstand that."

The rich heir smirked, offering a viciously brilliant idea.

Li Zidong pondered for a moment, then smirked as well, patting the other man’s shoulder: "That’s a good idea, but I don’t have much of a footing in Huacheng."

"Zidong, leave it to us."

"Yeah, Zidong, we’ve got this covered."

The heirs on either side naturally took charge, eager to curry favor with Li Zidong and not wanting to miss out on the opportunity.

As for the unlucky guy, he’s just an illegitimate child of the Li Family; who he hangs out with is obvious at a glance.

"Zidong, let me introduce you to a beauty. This is Huacheng’s hottest TV hostess..."

"Oppa, you were so cool just now, I think I might be falling for you."

An Gege clung to her seat, unabashedly sending heart-eyed looks at Li Feng.

"Gege, stop it," Wei Lan said as she watched her best friend’s blatant confession.

An Gege turned to look at Wei Lan.

"Wei Lan, we grew up together like sisters, as close as if we were blood. What’s mine is yours, and your things...!"

"Are still mine."

Wei Lan interjected wryly.

"Lanlan, how can you be so selfish? Handsome guys are meant to be shared. Doesn’t your conscience hurt?"

"Not at all."

An Gege blinked and suddenly turned serious, "Fine then, if you insist on being like this, I officially declare that I’ll chase him. You can object, but you can’t deprive me of the right to like someone."

Li Feng had never met such a flighty girl; her personality could definitely be described as unfettered.

"Ahem, where’s your home? I’ll take you back first."

An Gege turned a piercing gaze on Li Feng, "Oppa, do you really have to break my heart like that?"

An Gege’s tone switched to one of resentful complaint, pitiful as a concubine cast into the Cold Palace, as if Li Feng was a scoundrel who had toyed with her and cast her aside.

Li Feng turned his head to glance at Wei Lan. Has your friend always been this dramatic? She’s not a drama school graduate from Sea City by any chance, is she?

Wei Lan looked back at Li Feng with equal awkwardness, giving him a look that said, don’t look at me, you’re the one who provoked her.

"Hey, you two, don’t go overboard, putting on this show of lovey-dovey glances in front of others, racing to make little ones."

"I don’t care, wherever you guys go tonight, I’m following. Don’t even think about ditching me."

An Gege pouted and settled into the back seat with the demeanor of a rebellious teenager.

"Let’s go to my place."

Wei Lan sighed. She knew her best friend all too well; An Gege was a spoiled little princess, not malicious, but probably truly captivated by Li Feng.

Not just An Gege, even Wei Lan’s heart had fluttered in the presence of Li Feng, a sensation she had never experienced before in her life.

Sometimes she wondered what was wrong with Zhang Xue’s head for ignoring such a charismatic man.

Li Feng had no objections and drove straight to the address Wei Lan had mentioned, an apartment building not too far from the Qingcheng Group skyscraper.

"We’re here."

"Handsome oppa, you should get out too. You’re not planning to go upstairs, are you?" An Gege teased Li Feng.

"I have other things to do, so I won’t be going up."

An Gege wasn’t willing to let Li Feng off so easily: "Oppa, are you avoiding me? Is it because I’m here that you don’t want to go up? If that’s really the case, then I won’t disturb you two. You guys go upstairs."

"Just leave me alone to wander this big street all by myself."

Wei Lan touched her forehead, overwhelmed by her friend’s dramatics, then looked at Li Feng: "Just come up for a little while."

"Then I’ll stay for a bit."

"Ah, I knew it, I’m being shunned, aren’t I?"

Li Feng blinked twice, looking at An Gege, who really should be a star with her drama. An Gege hopped out of the car and immediately latched onto Li Feng’s arm, her bright eyes fixed on him.

"Oppa, can I ask you a question?"

"Hmm?"

"That black guy was so big and burly, were you scared at all when facing him?"

"Not at all," Li Feng shrugged, trying to pull his arm away.

"So, oppa, am I scarier than that black guy? You’re not even afraid of him, so why are you avoiding me? I won’t bite."

An Gege pouted with her cherry lips, her eyes sparkling.

Li Feng looked at An Gege, realizing she was setting a trap for him: "I’m afraid I might bite you."

An Gege stared at Li Feng.

"So, oppa, you do have thoughts about me?" An Gege suddenly got excited.

"Oppa, do you want to eat me plain, or do you want to spice it up a bit?"

Li Feng looked clueless as he turned to An Gege.

An Gege tiptoed and whispered in Li Feng’s ear, her cheeks blazing red. An Gege’s voice was soft, but Wei Lan, standing nearby, turned red from overhearing, wondering where An Gege had learned such things.

Wei Lan coughed lightly: "Gege, stop talking nonsense, or I won’t be hospitable anymore."

"Fine, fine, I’ll stop talking, okay?"

"But you always being so serious, no man will like that."

Wei Lan looked at An Gege nestling cosily on Li Feng’s arm and felt annoyed, that little vixen.

Wei Lan stepped forward and hooked Li Feng’s other arm.

Li Feng turned to look at Wei Lan.

"Is there a problem?" Wei Lan asked, biting her lip as she faced Li Feng.
