"Minglun, what’s happening inside?"

"You ask me, who do I ask!"

Wang Minglun didn’t engage, as the old Wang Family lady had kicked out the younger generation, obviously not wanting them to know.

"Ahem, what else could it be? Uncle blatantly favors the Li Family kid."

"What can we do when he’s the Family Head? He’s really risking it all, even Grandma has to give him face."

Wang Mingrui scoffed.

"I think Uncle is dead set on marrying into the Li Family, letting that grandson of the Li’s come into our family, just to cling onto his position as Family Head."

"The problem is still with that bastard from the Li Family," someone bluntly pointed out the core issue.

"Yeah, he’s an illegitimate child of the Li Family, can’t establish himself at home, always drifting outside. The Li Family is crafty too, using such a loser to marry into our family and achieve their aim of taking over."

"Their move is incredibly clever, if he and Jin’er’s child becomes the Family Head, then our family might as well be half-Li."

"Right, have you seen how arrogant that kid is? He even hit Mingyang, and in the hall, he cursed our entire Wang Family."

"I don’t think Jin’er can control him. They say he’s marrying in, but it’s uncertain who will be in charge here eventually."

Wang Mingcheng, always sneering, spoke up. He was the fourth son of the Wang Family, just in his early twenties, but very cunning.

"Shh, shh, look quick."

Suddenly, the people from the Wang Family in front stopped walking.

"Oh, they’re not avoiding people then."

Wang Lan made clucking noises as he watched Li Feng and Wang Jin’er showing off their affection, hugging and cuddling in public.

When Wang Jin’er saw her brothers and sisters outside the Moon Gate, her face quickly turned red, and she pushed Li Feng away, "Let go!"

"That’s really shameless."

"People have thick skins like city walls. When did they ever need a face?"

Seeing Li Feng, everyone got even more annoyed, naturally mixing in some cold sneers and hot sarcasms.

Li Feng turned around to face the Wang Family members looking down on him, and just threw two words at them.

"Idiots."

"Who are you calling an idiot?"

Li Feng chuckled lightly, "Oh, there’s actually an idiot responding."

"You!"

Wang Mingrui stared at Li Feng, and Li Feng met his gaze without flinching, "Did I say anything wrong? Look, nobody else picked it up, only you stood out. What are you if not an idiot?"

"I’ll beat the hell out of you."

Wang Mingrui took a step forward, agitated by Li Feng’s provocations, caring for his face.

Wang Jin’er stepped in front of Li Feng, blocking him, causing Wang Mingrui’s hand to stop mid-air.

"Wang Jin, move aside, you’re still protecting this scum?"

"Put your hand down. Do you really want to fight here and get punished by the family rules?" Wang Jin’er glared at Wang Mingrui.

Wang Jin’er gritted her teeth. It wasn’t that she was protecting Li Feng; she was restraining him because all her cousins combined probably couldn’t even touch him.

Wang Jin’er was sure of this.

Wang Jin’er meant well, but Wang Mingrui was ungrateful, "Wang Jin’er, you’re not even married yet, and you’re already bending over backwards for him."

"What, he keeps you that happy?"

"You!"

Wang Jin’er never expected her cousin to say such a thing to her; it was like dumping a basin of filth on her head.

"What, did I say something wrong?"

Wang Mingrui felt oddly satisfied saying this, having started, he didn’t plan on stopping.

"You are the esteemed daughter of the Wang Family, and he is just a discarded dog of the Li Family. He may have the Li Family bloodline, but what of it? He’s nothing more than a bastard."

"He’s got nothing, just a loser who can’t even make it in his own family. What part of him caught your eye? Don’t tell me it’s because he’s handsome or talented."

Wang Mingrui became more agitated as he spoke.

"You probably don’t know about his past, but he has been a live-in son-in-law and is well-skilled in being a kept man, pandering to women is his specialty."

"Do you, like a flower grown in a greenhouse, think you can compete with him? A few sweet nothings, a bit of dominance, and you’d be ’conquered’ by him."

"Now you’re defending him this strongly, have you slept with him?"

"Wang Mingrui, shut your mouth."

Wang Jin’er glared at him, cheeks flushed with anger. Wang Mingrui did not back down but sneered, "Did I hit a nerve?"

"You’ve been slept with by him; now your mind is all muddled. He hasn’t even stepped through our Wang Family’s door yet. Imagine if we actually let him marry into our family, would our Wang Family still carry the Wang name?"

Wang Mingrui spoke maliciously.

Wang Jin’er pushed Wang Mingrui with her hand.

"Wang Mingrui, you bastard!"

Caught off guard, Wang Mingrui staggered and fell to the ground. Wang Mingrui also grew furious: "What, did I say something wrong?"

"He’s a mongrel, and any children you bear would be mongrels too, dreaming of inheriting our Family Head position."

Wang Jin’er was furious beyond reasoning, incapable of staying calm while being insulted by her own family.

Before she could react, Li Feng grabbed her arm.

"Let go of me."

Wang Jin’er, annoyed, struggled to free herself from Li Feng’s hold.

"Let me handle this."

Li Feng squinted with a smile.

Seeing Li Feng’s smiling face sent a chill down Wang Jin’er’s spine: "Li Feng, you...!"

Wang Jin’er instantly calmed down and tried to grab Li Feng, but it was a moment too late.

Li Feng stepped forward and, as Wang Mingrui stood up, delivered a sweeping side kick to his face.

Just as he stood up, Wang Mingrui was sent flying two meters, crashing to the ground.

Spit.

Wang Mingrui spat out a few teeth along with a mouthful of blood.

"This is the Wang Family, Li Feng."

The often-silent members of the Wang Family finally regained their senses, glaring at Li Feng. Although they had enjoyed Wang Mingrui’s brutal honesty, such words were too crude and could bring trouble if overheard.

Their silence broke when Wang Mingrui was kicked to the ground; they couldn’t pretend to be mute anymore.

"Are you saying the Wang Family has no one? Brothers, get him!"

Wang Minglun’s face darkened.

Several Wang Family brothers immediately rushed towards Li Feng, with Wang Minglun hesitantly trailing behind.

"Stop fighting, everyone."

Wang Jin’er shouted frantically.

"Today, we and this man surnamed Li are irreconcilable. Get out of the way," a hot-blooded Wang Family youth pushed Wang Jin’er aside.

Wang Jin’er fell to the ground.

Li Feng, seeing Wang Jin’er fall, flashed a fierce look in his eyes. He sidestepped swiftly to appear in front of his attacker and punched him in the face, knocking him straight to the ground.

"Li Feng, stop!"

Wang Jin’er was momentarily stunned, then quickly yelled.

But Li Feng, as if deaf to her cries, had already had his fill of derision from the Wang Family members since he entered, and he couldn’t endure it any longer.
