Chapter 801: Chapter 820: Ten Thousand Buddhas Return to the Heart

When Ye Xuan selflessly imparted these Buddhist Sect divine skills to the Bodhisattva Buddhas of Western Lingshan, it left them immensely grateful and filled them with a profound sense of awe towards Ye Xuan.

Furthermore, upon realizing that the Buddhist Sect divine skills taught by Ye Xuan were crafted by the Western Two Saints, Duobao Tathagata and others were struck with utmost reverence for Ye Xuan’s identity.

The Western Sect was established by the Two Saints, and since primordial times to the present, there has never been anyone who received such favor from the Western Two Saints. Not only did they pass the Myriad Buddha True Scripture to Ye Xuan, but they also made him the first Buddha of Lingshan, indicating the unusual relationship between Ye Xuan and the Western Two Saints, leaving Duobao Tathagata and the others with no thoughts of dissent.

By wielding both grace and might, Ye Xuan subdued Lingshan and won the hearts of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas within a single day, a feat expected yet beyond expectations. But for Ye Xuan, this was merely the first step of his journey to Lingshan.

Golden lotuses descended from the heavens, sweet springs bubbled from the earth, and golden Buddha lotuses blossomed all over Lingshan. Vegetation flourished rapidly, nature’s spiritual energy rippled gently, while the sounds of the morning bell and evening drum resonated through Lingshan, giving an aura of solemnity and grandeur, as if it were a nation of myriad Buddhas.

Inside The Thunderclap Monastery!

Ye Xuan sat cross-legged on the Buddha Lotus, preaching and expounding doctrines. Every Bodhisattva Buddha from all directions listened intently, their expressions solemn, for Ye Xuan’s understanding of Buddhist Law was unfathomable. They always gained insights into the true essence of Buddhism from Ye Xuan’s few words, benefiting immensely.

Yet, these Bodhisattva Buddhas were unaware that the Qingming Buddha they esteemed was actually an unparalleled Evil Demon. Should they discover Ye Xuan’s true identity and recall the profound Buddhist concepts he imparted today, their emotions would undoubtedly be very complex.

“Amitabha, we pay homage to the Qingming Buddha.”

Suddenly, four deep, compassionate voices resounded from all directions of heaven and earth, as four Buddha lights ascended within Lingshan, appearing in The Thunderclap Monastery in an instant.

The Buddha lights dissipated peacefully, revealing four monks clad in golden robes standing within The Thunderclap Monastery. They paid respect to Ye Xuan with palms joined, their faces adorned with serene smiles.

The Four Great Buddhas of Lingshan!

The Great Sun Tathagata, Unmoving Tathagata, Baosheng Tathagata, and Not Empty Tathagata, these Four Great Buddhas had grand origins and had lived for an extremely long time, truly the main pillars of the Western Sect.

“Greetings to the Four Great Buddhas.”

Upon the arrival of the Four Great Buddhas, Duobao Tathagata’s expression changed drastically as he quickly rose to salute them, prompting many Bodhisattva Buddhas of The Thunderclap Monastery to rise and greet the Four Great Buddhas as well.

It was no wonder the Buddhas of Lingshan reacted in this manner, for the Four Great Buddhas never emerged into the world, always secluded in deep cultivation within Lingshan. Unless Lingshan faced an apocalyptic disaster, the Four Great Buddhas would not make an appearance.

Yet today, all Four Great Buddhas came together to pay homage to Ye Xuan, leaving the Buddhas of Lingshan both shocked and curious to an extreme degree.

In fact, the Buddhas of Lingshan were unaware that upon Ye Xuan’s entry to Lingshan, the Four Great Buddhas were already aware, knowing full well that the Western Two Saints had sent Ye Xuan to govern Lingshan. How could they dare to ignore the Western Two Saints?

Moreover, the most crucial aspect was that Ye Xuan, upon entering Lingshan, subdued Randeng Buddha, witnessing firsthand the tragic state of Randeng Buddha. This left them mentally uneasy, and they dared not put on any pretentious airs but naturally lowered their posture to pay respects to Ye Xuan.

“Sit!”

Ye Xuan sat firmly on the Buddha Lotus, his expression neither joyful nor sorrowful, yet full of Buddhist nature, as if the arrival of the Four Great Buddhas did not stir him in the slightest.

Observing Ye Xuan’s unmovable demeanor, the Four Great Buddhas were momentarily stunned, then glanced at each other, recognizing the wry smile on their faces, showing no dissatisfaction as they all sat cross-legged.

As the saying goes, show your power to set an example; this is the wisdom of the ancients. Ye Xuan’s subjugation of Randeng Buddha not only imparted a great deterrent to the Buddhas of Lingshan but also demonstrated firmly to the Four Great Buddhas. How could they act rashly in front of Ye Xuan?

“Bodhi originally has no tree, nor the mirror any stand. Originally there is not a single thing, where can dust alight… See the nature through emptiness… A glimpse of flowers in the mist… Three thousand grains of sand… The long-flowing water of eternity…”

The chanting of realms, sounds of myriad Buddhas, Ye Xuan continued to preach and transmit doctrines. The Four Great Buddhas nodded slowly, listening earnestly to Ye Xuan’s teachings, while the other Bodhisattva Buddhas were deeply absorbed, immersing The Thunderclap Monastery in the vast flow of Buddhist Law.

Time flies, and the years rush by.

A full decade passed with Ye Xuan finally concluding his teachings, the countless Buddha lights gradually fading away, as the Four Great Buddhas first rose, palms joined in salute to Ye Xuan.

“The Qingming Buddha’s understanding of the Buddhist Law is profound, we four are genuinely humbled. Under the leadership of the Qingming Buddha, our Western Sect will surely flourish,” the Four Great Buddhas chanted the Buddha’s name, expressing their most sincere respect towards Ye Xuan.

Previously, the Four Great Buddhas only feared Ye Xuan’s cultivation; now they possessed genuine admiration, for Ye Xuan’s grasp of the Buddhist Law far exceeded theirs. They had been greatly enlightened by the Buddhist teachings conveyed by Ye Xuan, even making slight progress in their own cultivation.

“Qingming follows the guidance of the two senior brothers, intending to let the light of the Buddha shine on the Three Realms. Any who oppose the tenets of the Buddhist Law are evil demons and heretical paths. Qingming will surely sweep these heresies away, returning the world to a peaceful era.”

Ye Xuan proclaimed with palms joined, as a Great Sun Buddha Light rose behind him, gloriously illuminating him as though he were the only one in existence under heaven and earth.

“Hiss!”

Hearing Ye Xuan’s declarations and witnessing his current demeanor, the Four Great Buddhas involuntarily drew a cold breath, their eyes reflecting heavy contemplation.

As the saying goes, seeing a part reveals the whole. While this Qingming Buddha demonstrated unfathomable wisdom in Buddhist Law and an unprecedented display of Buddha nature, there was an excessive obstinance towards Buddhist Law. He viewed anyone outside their Buddhist Sect as evil demons and heretical paths, a temperament potentially bringing significant calamity to Lingshan.

Even as the Four Great Buddhas practiced Vajra Glass Heart, maintaining extreme detachment towards all things, it did not make them emotionless machines. Naturally, they perceived Ye Xuan’s excessive stubbornness, uncertain if it was beneficial or detrimental to the Western Sect.

Yet, as Ye Xuan was the foremost Buddha of Lingshan, the Four Great Buddhas dared not to voice dissent, choosing instead to silently accept Ye Xuan’s declarations, albeit with some concern about what the future might hold if this Qingming Buddha truly remained so obsessive.

The Buddhas of Lingshan, naturally, dared not express any dissenting opinions either. At this moment, they all paid homage to Ye Xuan, conveying their utmost reverence for the Buddhist Law.

“The Buddhist Law is boundless, liberating all beings. With today’s lesson concluded, you may now disperse.”

With palms joined, Ye Xuan permitted the Four Great Buddhas to rise and bid farewell. The Buddhas of Lingshan also departed, returning to their respective paths, leaving Ye Xuan seated alone in The Thunderclap Monastery, expressionless, pondering privately.
