Chapter 628 - 628 647 The Killing Intent of the Bull Demon King
628: Chapter 647 The Killing Intent of the Bull Demon King 628: Chapter 647 The Killing Intent of the Bull Demon King Wuhua Mountain, a million miles across, was no longer existent, and the ten thousand-year Daoist tradition was utterly eradicated, with scorched earth as far as the eye could see, leaving no creature alive in the wake of Ye Xuan’s strike.
The monk from Fahua Temple knew not who Ye Xuan was; he knew nothing of his origins, and he couldn’t fathom why Ye Xuan so brazenly dismissed Lingshan, to declare his Daoist lineage obliterated and then undone it.
There was one thing, though, that the monk knew—he wished to grind Ye Xuan’s bones to dust and flay him alive, for only through such an act could he quench the deep-seated hatred of the Blood Sea festering in his heart.
The monk of Fahua Temple was afraid, he was even more terrified of Ye Xuan, for he had witnessed Ye Xuan’s dread firsthand!
A single strike, merely one strike!
His painstakingly built Fahua Temple had vanished into smoke, and he knew not how many disciples were slaughtered within its walls; henceforth, the Fahua Temple was erased from the Western Continent, and he was no longer the master of a temple, thoroughly reduced to a stray dog.
To burst forth in silence or to perish within it!
Although the monk of Fahua Temple was terrified of Ye Xuan, his hatred for him was even greater.
After all, he had only sent a River Demon to probe him, but the retribution was the destruction of his temple and the loss of his followers.
“Earth Element Flag!”
Suddenly, the monk from Fahua Temple let out a ghastly, cold laugh.
Clenching the Earth Element Flag in his hands, a boundless sinister light grew in his eyes, and a cruel, ferocious smile stretched across his face as he shot towards the little stone village.
No one knew what the monk from Fahua Temple intended to do, and no one understood how, having narrowly escaped from Ye Xuan’s clutches, he dared to boldly venture to the little stone village; was he truly unafraid of dying at Ye Xuan’s hands?
But hatred alone could drive a person to madness, and the monk from Fahua Temple was no exception.
The destruction of the Daoist lineage that he had toiled to establish for a hundred thousand years had driven his hatred for Ye Xuan to its utmost and plunged him into a frenzied state.
Moreover, the monk possessed the Innate Chaos Five Elements Flag, specifically the Earth Element Flag, which instilled in him tremendous audacity—the treasure in hand might not make him Ye Xuan’s match, but it could spare his life.
…
Little stone village.
Under clear, limitless skies and a gentle breeze, heaps of straw were piled up at the slightly broken entrance of the village, where a dozen children were playing by the stream; only a little girl sat atop a straw stack, staring dreamily at the dirt road outside the village, as if awaiting the return of someone special.
It was high noon, with the sun blazing overhead, but even in such sweltering weather, the little girl remained utterly still, obviously waiting for Ye Xuan to return from outside the village.
“Zhuo Ma, come home for lunch.”
A dozen children returned from the stream and, upon seeing the little girl still perched atop the straw stack, they called out to her.
“Zhuo Ma is not hungry, I’m waiting for Brother Ye to come home,” the little girl said, lost in her thoughts.
“Don’t be foolish, Zhuo Ma.
Haven’t I heard my parents say, ‘Brother Ye is no ordinary person,’ and that once he leaves our village, he will surely not return?” a young boy said weakly.
“You’re lying, Brother Ye said he would definitely come back, Brother Ye wouldn’t deceive me,” retorted the little girl, her face turning red and her lips quivering slightly.
“Oh, let her be.
If she wants to wait, then let her wait; we should go home,” said one of the children, calling the boy over, which caused the little boy to shrug his shoulders, call his companions, and head back into the village.
“Brother Ye, you’ll definitely come back, right?”
“You promised little Zhuo Ma.”
The little girl clutched the Jade Pendant at her chest, a parting gift from Ye Xuan when he had left.
It made her grip the Jade Pendant tightly, muttering to herself quietly.
Boom!
Suddenly, thunder cracked the clear sky, shaking the earth.
The weather, which had been clear for miles, abruptly changed as a monstrous cloud rolled in from the distant horizon, accompanied by the roars of a horde of demons cavorting wildly.
Crack!
Lightning sliced through the sky, and the demon cloud blanketed the heavens.
In just three short breaths, the cloud had completely obscured the little stone village.
An extremely terrifying figure strode out from within the cloud.
Thud—thud—thud.
The Bull Demon King stood eight feet tall, carrying a Black Gold Bull Fork, and with each step, moved closer to the small stone village until he stood outside it.
Narrowing his bullish eyes, he spotted the little girl sitting on a haystack.
“Little girl, do you belong to this small stone village?”
The Bull Demon King was smiling, but with his bull-headed human body and the demonic aura swirling around him, he was unmistakably a Great Demon King.
Though he was smiling, the sight struck a chord of terror in the heart of the little girl, who let out a scream of fear.
“Demon…
there’s a demon…
The demon has come!”
The little girl’s face turned pale as she voiced her fear, and she quickly jumped off the haystack, trying to escape back to the village to alert the villagers of this event.
Tragically, before the girl could make it back to the village, the Bull Demon King silently blocked her way and stretched out a hand to lift little Zhuo Ma up.
“Little girl, as long as you behave yourself, I will not harm you,” the Bull Demon King continued to smile, but to the little girl, his grin seemed ferocious and terrifying, causing tears to well up in Zhuo Ma’s eyes.
The Bull Demon King had no mercy in his heart for human girls.
He had led a group of demons here to find the true culprit responsible for killing Red Boy.
“Do you recognize this person?”
Without wasting words, the Demon King radiated demonic light from his palm, revealing a scroll.
As he unrolled it, Ye Xuan’s image appeared and was promptly presented to the little girl for identification.
Being in the grasp of a demon had scared little Zhuo Ma out of her wits, yet upon seeing the portrait of Ye Xuan, her screams ceased abruptly, replaced by a flash of fear in her eyes.
Although Zhuo Ma was young, she was also clever and quick-witted.
She immediately guessed that the demon had come to the small stone village searching for her Brother Ye, which reminded her to keep calm.
“No…
I don’t recognize him…
We’ve never had this person come to our village,” Zhuo Ma said softly, her voice trembling.
“You don’t recognize him?”
The Bull Demon King’s eyes narrowed.
After all, he had lived for countless years and was a Demon King from the second watershed of the Daluo.
Despite the little human girl’s good attempt at concealment, how could her fleeting change in expression escape his notice?
“Little girl, you are lying, and you’re not being very honest,” the Bull Demon King’s smile faded, his voice gradually turning cold, with a hint of sinister intent in his eyes.
“I…
I really don’t know this person!” Zhuo Ma pursed her lips, speaking with a trembling voice, obviously stricken with great fear by the Bull Demon King.
Thump thump thump!
Suddenly, a disorderly sound of footsteps came from within the village.
A large group of villagers was heading towards the entrance, led by Zhang Qinghe and Uncle Zhuo.
When they saw the fearful figure of the Bull Demon King, all the villagers trembled silently with fear, but still, they managed to quickly reach the village entrance with gritted teeth.
