452: Chapter 461: Beimang Demon Mountain (Fifth Update) 452: Chapter 461: Beimang Demon Mountain (Fifth Update) “Duobao old man, are you trying to kill one of my people?”
Boom!
The heavenly vault shattered, space-time twisted, and a grand figure tread the skies towards them, the Five-Colored Divine Light shook Heaven and Earth, accompanied by an extremely fierce aura pressing towards Western Lingshan.
Hum!
Time seemed to stand still, space seemed to freeze.
As the golden light faded, Kong Xuan stood within The Thunderclap Monastery, even blocking Duobao Tathagata’s path.
“Greetings to the Great Peacock King.”
Buddhas chanted, Bodhisattvas bowed, three thousand voices thunderously recited scriptures—clearly, the might of Kong Xuan was too great, even the myriad Buddhas had to greet him with the respect due to a disciple.
“Great King, although Kong Li is your kinsman, his crime of killing Guanyin is unforgivable.
I hope the Great King can discern right from wrong and not create unnecessary chaos here.”
Duobao Tathagata expressed his sorrowful plea, as his Demon-Subduing Buddha Light twisted Heaven and Earth.
It seemed to even disrupt the Space-Time Laws, showing no sign of retreat despite Kong Xuan’s arrival.
Although Kong Xuan was strong, Duobao Tathagata was also of Great Divine Power and naturally feared no confrontation with Kong Xuan.
“Duobao, stop feigning sympathy and compassion.
I know very well what kind of person you are.
Did you think to kill my clan’s descendant without asking me?”
With a roar that shattered Heaven and Earth, mountains crumbled, Kong Xuan’s eyes gleamed coldly, and his Five-Colored Divine Light surged to the heavens.
The sound that shook the universe caused the land in all directions to crack, its terrifying power was unimaginable.
As figures both at the Daluo Third Water Dividing Ridge, Kong Xuan knew his Cultivation was not up to Duobao Tathagata’s level, but the gap was not insurmountable.
He had no intention of yielding.
“Great King, do you wish to start a battle with me here?”
Gone was the compassion in Duobao Tathagata, who now manifested his fierce Vajra form, with space-time around him utterly distorted, clearly inflamed with towering rage.
“Thinking to kill my clan’s descendant?
Don’t think that because you are the master of Lingshan, or even if you stepped into the realm of Quasi-Saint, that you can bypass me,” scoffed Kong Xuan with a cold laughter.
“Amitabha.”
“Great King, since you fail to distinguish right from wrong, I must see for myself, over this infinite time, just how much ability you, the Great Peacock King, have truly cultivated.”
Duobao Tathagata chanted the Buddha’s name as the Buddha’s Golden Bowl emitted terrifying Buddha Light, clearly enraged and ready to battle Kong Xuan fiercely.
“Ha ha!”
Kong Xuan laughed loudly, his voice reverberating powerfully, and said, “Duobao, old man, do you really think I, Kong Xuan, fear you?”
Boom!
The Five-Colored Divine Light tore the sky and earth apart, the vast Lingshan violently trembled.
Under the astonished gaze of the myriad Buddhas, Kong Xuan transformed, directly manifesting his Five-Colored Peacock true form—the chaotic and earth-shattering power seemed poised to shatter this part of Heaven and Earth.
Kong Xuan, the first peacock since the creation of Heaven and Earth, whose Innate Divine Ability, the Five-Colored Divine Light, sweeps away all things.
When he displayed his sky-high Cultivation, even the Buddha’s Golden Bowl in Duobao Tathagata’s hands dimmed.
In the realm of Heaven, Earth, and Man, there are many Spiritual Treasures, each containing different powers.
Yet, with all things generating and overcoming each other, apart from the Seven Treasures Magical Tree in the hands of the Western Two Saints’ Zhunti, only Kong Xuan’s Five-Colored Divine Light possesses such terrifying power.
Even though Duobao Tathagata faced Kong Xuan, the Buddha’s Golden Bowl was of little use; his only recourse for a battle was his own Great Divine Power and formidable Cultivation.
Two revered ancestors faced each other in the void, with countless Buddha Bodhisattvas gradually retreating, none daring to intervene, for they simply could not partake in a battle at such a level.
“Amitabha!”
Suddenly, before the start of a great battle, a chant of Buddha echoed around Lingshan.
An old monk appeared from the void, his visage withered and his form frail as if he was stepping into his twilight years.
Yet, the blue lamp he held bathed the entire Lingshan in a serene atmosphere.
“Greetings to Randeng Buddha!”
The heavens full of Buddhas were shocked, not expecting that the long-unseen Randeng Buddha would be disturbed, prompting them all to pay their respects in reverence.
“Old Buddha!”
Duobao Tathagata pressed his palms together in greeting to Randeng.
“Randeng?”
Kong Xuan’s eyebrows furrowed, a hint of apprehension crossing his eyes.
Obviously, to him, Randeng Buddha was more troublesome than Duobao Tathagata.
He wondered why this person would appear at such a time.
“The immensity of eons has begun, and Western Lingshan was founded by the Two Saints.
If an internal conflict occurs now, causing the Saints to impose punishment, would this not be a sin on our part?” Randeng Buddha lamented, trying to mediate between the two.
“The Buddha is wise.
If the descendants of Ming King descend to the Lower Realm as demons and harm Guanyin, should we not remove them?
Wouldn’t the entire Three Realms laugh at The Thunderclap Monastery?” Duobao Tathagata spoke with gravity.
“Amitabha.”
Randeng Buddha joined his hands and chanted low: “The Five-Colored Peacock is born of Heaven and Earth, and for Guanyin, this tribulation is fated.
Our Lingshan’s Thunderclap Monastery is compassionate, and to kill her would be too ruthless.
Perhaps sending a Buddha to enlighten him could also dispel these resentments.”
“The Buddha speaks rationally, but who would be suitable to go?” asked Duobao Tathagata, joining his palms together.
“Ha ha!”
Suddenly, a laugh rang out, as a light of Buddha ascended from within Lingshan, with a large-bellied Buddha stepping forward, causing Duobao Tathagata and Kong Xuan to look startled.
“Maitreya Buddha?” whispered Kong Xuan.
“Although Kong Xuan is prone to killing, let me go and guide him.
The Ming King can rest assured that I will certainly not harm his life,” Maitreya Buddha nodded with a smile.
“Since the Old Buddha already has a plan, I will follow the Buddha’s intent and have Venerable Maitreya enlighten Kong Li,” Duobao Tathagata declared, sitting back on the Golden Lotus.
“Your Majesty, may I ask what your intentions are?” Randeng Buddha’s raspy voice rose.
“Since the Buddha has spoken, I naturally must give face to this request.
However, let me be clear, if Kong Li happens to die for no reason, then don’t blame me for overturning Lingshan, even if the Two Saints come here, they won’t be able to stop me.”
Kong Xuan reverted to human form and floated away on a golden cloud.
Clearly, with Randeng Buddha intervening, although he intended to protect Ye Xuan for a period, this was as far as he could go; the rest of the journey was up to Ye Xuan himself.
…
Northern Continent, Demon clouds filled the sky.
Beimang Demon Mountain, reaching into the clouds, was an ancient mountain of the Northern Continent, said to be a Demon Mountain passed down from the Primordial Times, where countless Great Demons who pierced through heaven and earth were bred.
Today, Beimang Demon Mountain was teeming with innumerable demons, making it impossible to see the end at a glance, and hundreds of Demon Kings were meditating at the summit, their demonic aura stirring Heaven and Earth.
“They’re here!”
A Heavenly Demon King growled coldly, glancing towards the distant horizon, only to see a swath of dark demonic clouds rolling in, accompanied by endless roars of demons resonating across the Heavenly Vault.
