Chapter 855: Chapter 850: No One Came (5 updates)

Under the guidance of the three from Yu Jianlin, they headed towards Supreme Mountain.

For Su Chen and the others, climbing a mountain of 100,000 meters was not difficult; it took approximately the time of A Stick of Incense, and that was with consideration for Jun Luoying’s condition; otherwise, it would have been even faster.

Upon reaching the mountain peak.

Su Chen glanced at the foothills, a glance that seemed to encompass the whole world, observing from a high vantage point; true observation was from atop a 100,000-meter mountain with its unique scenery, where clouds and mist soared like an Immortal Realm.

The mountain range of the Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect was very simple, marked by just a stone stele.

Upon the stele were the characters for "Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect."

The characters were extremely grandiose and domineering, and one could imagine the Supreme Expert who inscribed them possessed incredible strength.

Entering the mountain gate.

The first sensation was silence, the sort of tranquil atmosphere of a sacred land of literature, yet beneath this stillness, there was a discordant aura swirling in the air—the scent of death.

"Does the Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect often see deaths within its confines?" Su Chen inquired.

"Of course. Within the Buddha Domain, it’s common for Sects to encourage life-or-death fights among their disciples," Yu Jianlin explained. "Ultimately, regardless of the Sect or the strength of the cultivator, their destiny will lead them to the Three Great Battlefields. There, we face the Monster Beast Clan, confronting horrors far beyond mere life and death. Therefore, every Sect encourages strife and killing amongst disciples as a way to temper their ruthlessness in life and death."

Su Chen nodded, yet inwardly he sighed, "What a Law of the jungle! Utterly merciless!"

Of course, this was also the most efficient way to push Martial Cultivators to improve, to continue on the path towards becoming a Supreme Expert.

The prosperity of human Martial Arts to this day owes much to the influence of the Monster Beast Clan. Without their constant looming threats, complacency would set in.

Certainly, there are exceptions, like Yu Jianlin, whose aura lacked the necessary ruthlessness of life and death, likely because his grandfather was the Great Elder.

"Su Chen, I implore you not to speak of yesterday’s events. I... I beg of you!" Yu Jianlin suddenly said.

"Understood!" Su Chen didn’t share his thoughts. Yu Jianlin had already received the punishment he deserved yesterday. As long as he didn’t provoke Su Chen again, there was no need for utter annihilation. After all, it hadn’t reached that point, and Yu Jianlin’s demeanor today wasn’t bad either.

"Thank you!" Yu Jianlin sighed in relief. From his attempt yesterday, he realized that Su Chen truly was the Epoch Level monster that Miss Heyue spoke of, beyond his provocations. After provoking Su Chen, there was always a heavy rock pressing on his heart until this moment, when he finally felt its release.

"Now, where to?" Su Chen asked.

"To the True Inheritance Hall." An abrupt voice came to Su Chen’s ears.

But it wasn’t Yu Jianlin’s voice—it was that of a woman, a voice familiar to Su Chen.

The mysterious woman!

It was her.

The next moment.

A figure appeared before Su Chen and the others, mysteriously and silently.

Although there, she also seemed not to be there.

Clearly a real shadow, yet like an illusion.

"Miss Heyue!" Yu Jianlin, Sun E, and Zhang Tun almost knelt down, bowing so deeply their bodies were at a ninety-degree angle, their reverence and awe beyond belief, not daring to raise their eyes to glance at Heyue Nishang, their bodies shaking, filled with reverential aura.

Su Chen, on the other hand, met Heyue Nishang’s eyes, with additional astonishment.

Heyue Nishang was beautiful.

Her beauty was comparable to Seventh Princess Chu Xuan, Nangong Wu, and Mo Qingwu.

And her aura was even more remarkable.

Her demeanor was ethereal, dismissive, and supremely dominant; her beauty was lethal—an alarming, unforgettable vision upon first glance.

Especially her red lips, naturally cherry-blossomed without need of lipstick, exuding an aristocratic radiance that was innate.

Of course, this indescribable charm likely stemmed from Heyue Nishang’s strength.

With strength that ranked at the pinnacle of the Buddha Domain, her aura naturally did the same.

"Have you looked enough?" The slightly distracted Su Chen received Heyue Nishang’s mild question, devoid of anger. With her level of power, emotions rarely fluctuated, even in the face of mass slaughter.

However, she was slightly surprised by Su Chen’s boldness. After all, within the entire Buddha Domain, there weren’t many who dared to gaze directly at her.

Su Chen was one of the very few who dared, the youngest and least powerful among them.

"Not yet," Su Chen replied with a smile. "Miss Heyue, could you tell me what the True Inheritance Hall is?"

"The True Inheritance Hall is where the Elders of the Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect take disciples," Heyue Nishang explained indifferently. "The entire Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect has only seventy-two True Disciples. Each True Disciple is accepted by one of the twelve Elders of the Sect."

"I see," Su Chen nodded. "Then let’s go."

"Hold on, wait," Heyue Nishang added.

"Why the wait?" Su Chen asked, confused.

Heyue Nishang furrowed her brows slightly: "At the moment, none of the twelve Elders have headed to the True Inheritance Hall."

"Do they look down upon me?" Su Chen understood instantly. Normally, the twelve Elders would all be present; and indeed, if one were exceptionally talented, they would be vying for the newcomer. Unexpectedly, now none of the Elders had shown up, which spoke volumes.

"The Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect has Servant Disciples, Outer Sect Disciples, Inner Sect Disciples, Core Disciples, and True Disciples," Heyue Nishang spoke slowly. "Since ancient times, aside from you, all other disciples started as either Servant or Outer Sect Disciples, then progressed level by level. To become a True Disciple upon Basic Entry... not just in the Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect, but maybe in the entire Buddha Domain for Ten Thousand Years, there might only be you."

"Miss Heyue, it’s thanks to you that I can become a True Disciple, right?" Su Chen inquired. "Why would Miss Heyue want me to become a True Disciple right upon entering the Supreme Heavenly Fire Sect?"

"It’s because of your talent for martial cultivation. To start you as an Outer Sect Disciple and progress you level by level would be a waste of time," Heyue Nishang explained calmly, revealing her true thoughts. Su Chen’s demonic potential certainly qualified him for True Discipleship. That’s why she approached the Sect Leader to negotiate Su Chen’s immediate status as a True Disciple upon joining the Sect, which the Sect Leader agreed with. Indeed, the news had already spread throughout the entire Buddha Domain.
