Chapter 775: Chapter 795: A Dance of the Heavenly Demon, Captivating the Souls of Men_1

"A thousand spirit stones just for the entrance fee?"

Lin Chen looked at the numerous rooms ahead and calculated silently, exclaiming, "Doesn’t that mean their daily income is millions, or even tens of millions of spirit stones?"

Fang Dao explained, "The thousand spirit stones include the cost of watching the dance in the hall, appetizers, and fine wine package. You can drink and watch the dance, but if you want more wine, food, or a private room with a woman, those are extra charges."

Lin Chen nodded and casually asked, "Do the women here provide, well, additional services?"

"Aside from a very few pure girls from Hua Yue Sect, the others do, providing companionship for eating, drinking, and sleeping," Fang Dao said, his face full of excitement.

Lin Chen nodded. Isn’t this just like the ancient courtesan system? Each of the courtesans was talented in various arts, and if a man wanted to gain their favor, they had to either spend a fortune or use their talents and looks to win them over willingly.

As they entered the main hall, the conversation continued. In front of them was a raised platform, evidently for dance performances.

Below the stage, tables were arranged in a neat and orderly manner, accommodating hundreds of people. On the second floor, there were many small rooms, separated but not completely closed off, with tables near the railings so people could drink and watch the performance at the same time.

"Gentlemen, do you prefer the first-floor main hall, the second-floor elegant room, or a private room?"

"A private room."

Before Fang Dao could finish, Lin Chen pulled him and laughed, "Let’s just go for the main hall since we’re just looking for a place to drink."

Drinking in the main hall seemed more reasonable than calling beauties to join them in a private room, a scenario he wouldn’t want his Senior Sister to find out.

Fang Dao was about to speak, but Lin Chen insisted, "The main hall, or I’m leaving."

Left with no choice, Fang Dao changed his mind: "Then let’s take an elegant room near the window on the second floor. The main hall is crowded and noisy, mostly filled with people having a few drinks while watching the performance. It’s more convenient to eat and drink upstairs, and we’ll get a better view of the show."

Lin Chen didn’t object this time.

An elegant room it is, as long as they didn’t call for female company.

It was still early, so they were some of the earliest customers to arrive and managed to get one of the best seats right across from the performance stage on the second floor.

Fang Dao was feeling generous and ordered a table full of expensive food and drink, costing Lin Chen at least five thousand spirit stones; thankfully, they didn’t call for any female company, or their spending might’ve reached tens of thousands.

Night fell, and the room was filled with magnificent lights, giving it an elegant yet mysterious and sensual atmosphere. The hall became as bright as day.

More and more customers were arriving, making the place livelier. On the stage, the Hua Yue Sect dancers started performing various dances.

After watching two dances, Lin Chen laughed, "Doesn’t seem as great as you made it out to be."

Fang Dao replied with a chuckle, "These are just low-level dancers from Hua Yue Sect, here to liven up the atmosphere. They don’t even know what Sky Demon Dance is. Even within the Hua Yue Sect, few are adept at it. The most skillful one is the current Holy Maiden, Long Yan’er, whose Sky Demon Dance is said to be soul-hooking. Apparently, she’s here as well, on the huge ship. But who knows, maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see her."

Lin Chen laughed, "As a Holy Maiden, I doubt she’ll perform for us common customers in the main hall."

Fang Dao chuckled, "You’re wrong there, Brother Lin. To gain fame and momentum, one must perform in front of countless people and let word of mouth spread. Otherwise, even if you claim to be remarkable behind closed doors, others might not believe you."

He leaned over, whispering: "It’s said that Long Yan’er possesses a rare Water Spirit Body in the world, which makes her naturally bewitching. She’s mastered the Sky Demon Dance to an incredibly terrifying level, able to kill fellow cultivators without shedding a drop of blood. She’s now one of the most prominent young geniuses from Xixi State."

Lin Chen was stunned. Was her background really that grand?

"Is Hua Yue Sect really strong?" Lin Chen asked.

Fang Dao chuckled, "Of course they’re strong. But here’s the thing, as long as you follow the Sect’s rules, you can enjoy yourself fully, and no one will bother you. However, if you try to use your strength to act arrogantly, you’ll most likely end up stripped naked and hung from a flagpole outside. For more severe cases, they might end up as slaves, never seeing the light of day again at the bottom of this moving ship."

Lin Chen’s curiosity was piqued by Fang Dao’s description, and he eagerly asked, "Let’s see if we’re lucky enough to witness it."

As they were talking, a young man entered through the main door. His body resembled fire, his face slightly rough, and a fiery flame tattoo on his forehead. Although the tattoo appeared still, it made people feel as if it were burning fiercely. As he walked, he seemed like a ball of scorching flames, making the surrounding people step out of the way.

The man sat down in front of the stage, looked at the dancing beauties, and laughed heartily. "This dance is nothing special! I heard Long Yan’er is here, so hurry up and let her perform. If she dances well, I, your lord, will reward her generously!"
