Chapter 272: Chapter 292: Lin Chen, Weren’t You Good at Fighting? _1

"Only a Grandmaster can kill another Grandmaster. The Chu family doesn’t have a Great Grandmaster, so we must give our all to prevent you from having any chance of escape."

In the darkness, Chu Tianyu’s voice came from a shadowy corner. He stared at Lin Chen with a vicious gaze, like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows.

Lin Chen turned his head and saw Chu Tianyu standing behind a tree, laughing, "What are you hiding so far away for? Are you that scared?"

Chu Tianyu sneered, "I’m not going to give you the chance to use me as a hostage."

Smoking a cigarette, Lin Chen responded with a smirk, "You’re quite cautious. I definitely can’t beat three Grandmasters, but I may not necessarily be stopped from running away."

Chu Tianyu laughed, "My great-grandfather is only one step away from being a Great Grandmaster. He alone can defeat you. And with my two grandfathers, the three of them working together... Unless you have wings and can fly, you’ll die here."

Lin Chen took a couple of steps to the side, carefully positioning himself to avoid attack from all sides, "You’re planning to finish me off directly?"

Chu Tianyu laughed heartily, "Don’t worry, we won’t kill you. We’ll just cripple your cultivation abilities. After all, you still have a crazy master whom we’ll need to talk to. If he agrees to back down, your life will be spared."

Lin Chen clicked his tongue in admiration, "Having a good background is indeed important. If I didn’t have this master, wouldn’t my bones be shattered today?"

"Stop wasting time and get this over with!"

The white-haired Chu family ancestor let out a low shout before charging at Lin Chen, throwing a fist with such ferocity that it left afterimages in the air.

Lin Chen didn’t avoid the attack but instead met the Chu ancestor’s fist head-on with one of his own.

He planned to take advantage of the situation to gauge the strength of the three Grandmasters from the Chu family so that he could better strategize when the time came for real action to ensure none of them escaped.

Bang!

In the midst of the stifling clash, Lin Chen was sent flying backward, his Qi and blood churning, his arm going numb. As he hit the ground, the brick beneath him cracked.

Lin Chen retreated three steps, cracking three more bricks in the process.

Before he could catch his breath, another Grandmaster pounced on him, giving him no time to recover before aiming a fierce kick at his waist.

Caught off guard, Lin Chen was forced to dodge the kick, bending sideways with his arm raised to shield himself.

Bang!

The kick landed on Lin Chen’s arm, sending him flying sideways. He crashed into a garden fence, shattering it.

Before he could get up, the Chu family ancestor leaped into the air, descending like a war god and stomped at Lin Chen still lying on the ground.

Lin Chen slapped the ground, launching himself into the air and rolling sideways to avoid the attack.

The Chu ancestor’s foot stomped down, crushing the cement platform but missing Lin Chen.

As Lin Chen got up to his feet, another person rushed toward him, striking him with a punch that sent him sliding across the ground.

Embarrassed!

As the blood dripped down the corner of his mouth, Lin Chen had never been so humiliated since leaving his mountain abode.

Although he was a Grandmaster, he was struggling to withstand the relentless attacks from a peak Grandmaster who was one step away from being a Great Grandmaster, plus two other powerful Grandmasters who took turns assaulting him, not giving him any time to recover. He was now nothing more than a punching bag, with no strength to fight back.

Chu Tianyu watched as Lin Chen was relentlessly beaten, unable to even stand up. He was either rolling on the ground or being sent flying and laughed, "Lin Chen, you were once a great fighter. What happened?"

Lin Chen, now nursing internal injuries, had no time to answer as he was focused on defense, waiting for an opportunity.

As Lin Chen was sent flying again, a motorcycle appeared at the entrance of the alleyway, revving and charging toward them.

Bright headlights pierced through the darkness, casting their glare on the fighting group.

"Stop him!" shouted the Chu family ancestor.

An old man at the edge of the group rushed toward the motorcycle, but just as they were about to collide, the rider suddenly raised both hands, lifting the front of the bike and speeding towards the old man.

Simultaneously, the rider shot off the bike as if weightless, launching an attack on another old man who was targeting Lin Chen.

The old man in front of the motorcycle was blinded by the headlights and when he noticed the rider’s movements, it was too late to stop him. With a roar of rage, he tilted his body and smashed the oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcycle twisted and deformed under the force of the punch, shattering into pieces before crashing into a nearby wall, instantly turning into a pile of scrap metal.

The old man aiming for Lin Chen saw the attacker and sneered, throwing a punch their way.

"Get out of the way!"

The motorcycle rider was none other than Han Wei, who arrived for Lin Chen’s rescue. In mid-air, she launched herself at the opponent with a fierce punch of her own.
