Chu Jiaxue hummed in agreement, "Do you think she’s falling for you?"

Lin Chen’s heartbeat suddenly quickened, "I doubt it. She knows I’m married and even knows that you’re my wife. She’s also Miss Zuo Family, so it’s unlikely she’d fall for a married man like me."

Chu Jiaxue chuckled, "It’s just a hunch, anyway. You’re very capable after all, and Miss Zuo is quite nice, very beautiful, and feminine. She also comes from a good family. If you like her, you might as well consider it, since three months will pass quickly anyway."

Chu Jiaxue snorted, "Didn’t you just say it yourself? You haven’t thought about settling down and still want to roam wild. Why would I hold onto you? If I do, and then you can’t resist outside temptations, won’t you just blame me then?"

For a moment, Lin Chen didn’t know how to reply, so he simply changed the subject: "I’ll call her and ask what’s going on. I’ll let you know once I have it sorted out. In any case, we must ensure the company continues production."

Lin Chen laughed in response, "I rely on my friends for support. They help me earn a living. Enough about that, what are you up to? Why did you go to see my wife and want to be friends with her?"

Zuo Yingying sighed, "I didn’t expect you to be such an outstanding man, telling your wife about our intimate encounter at the bar. I nearly choked on my words at the time. I thought she knew everything. Why didn’t you tell her the whole story?"

Lin Chen replied bluntly, "I’m not stupid. Why would I hang myself?"
