Gu Yuexi smirked: "When you first started seeing Sister Ziyun, there was ’nothing’ as well, right?"

Lin Chen was lost for words. After all, any more explanation would seem like evasion in the face of hard facts.

Watching Lin Chen being defeated, Yao Xuanji found it rather amusing.

She had seldom seen Lin Chen this embarrassed. She wouldn’t use this tone with Lin Chen herself, but it seemed rather natural for Gu Yuexi.

"Let’s go. If she’s to be released, we’d better do it sooner than later. There’s no point torturing her; it’ll only devalue our favor."

Gu Yuexi obediently agreed: "Okay."

"Go to my room first."

Lin Chen brought Gu Yuexi to his room, after all, she was his wife, and sharing the same room was natural.

The two were standing at the door when the door of the next room suddenly opened.

The Purple Cloud Immortal Monarch stood at the entrance, sweeping her gaze over the two, and smiled: "You’re back?"
