Gu Yuexi was very surprised; she had deliberately not told Lin Chen before, not wanting to make him feel embarrassed since their relationship seemed to be almost lovers but not quite. But she hadn’t expected Lin Chen to find a way to prepare a present for her in such a hurry.

"While you were in the car?"

Lin Chen nodded, "Yes... Happy birthday, Yue Yue! Make a wish and blow out the candles!"

"Okay!"

Gu Yuexi’s heart was filled with joy, not because of the gift Lin Chen gave her, but because of his thoughtfulness.

Gu Yuexi clasped her hands together, made a sincere wish, and then blew out the candles.

Lin Chen handed the box to Gu Yuexi, "Take a look. Do you like it?"

Gu Yuexi bit her lip and gently opened the box, revealing a dazzling diamond necklace inside.

Gu Yuexi recognized at once that it was a new design by Van Cleef & Arpels that had come out this year, priced at 880,000.

"Ah, Brother, this gift is too expensive!"

Lin Chen stood up, walked behind Gu Yuexi, and put the diamond necklace around her neck.

The silver-haired old man smiled, "Yes."

The silver-haired old man opened the rear car door and had Gu Yuexi sit in the back, smiling, "Please excuse me, Mr. Lin, for asking you to be a driver this time. Shouldn’t be a problem, right?"

Lin Chen smiled, "No problem. Tell me, where are we going?"

The silver-haired man gave an address, and Lin Chen followed the navigation, then started the car and smoothly entered the traffic flow.

Lin Chen drove steadily, asking at the same time, "I’ve never seen you before. Are you one of Chu Family’s people?"
