Lin Chen looked at her with a smile, "If I don’t go home, what do you have in mind?"

Gu Yuexi asked with a grin, "Will you get in trouble if you don’t go home?"

Lin Chen shook his head, "No, but we need to do something. Are you suggesting we sit on the street and catch a breeze?"

Gu Yuexi whispered, "I can’t bear to leave you. It’s been so many days since I saw you last. Why don’t we go to a hotel and chat?"

After Gu Yuexi said this, her face turned red, but she didn’t back down.

Lin Chen looked at Gu Yuexi’s eyes, filled with shyness and anticipation, how could he not know what she was thinking?

She planned to take him tonight and solidify their relationship as a romantic couple.

He agreed!

Gu Yuexi was surprised and excited, "Not far away is Longding Hotel, the best hotel in all Pingjiang. I’ve heard a lot about it, let’s go to Longding."

"Alright."

As the two reached Longding Hotel and were about to enter the hall and check-in, there was a sudden shout outside.

"Miss, don’t jump! Come down and talk about your problem. Nothing is impossible to get through!"

Lin Chen looked in the direction of the shout and saw a man in a security guard uniform looking up anxiously, shouting up at the building.

Lin Chen looked up in the direction the security guard was looking and saw a young woman wearing nothing but a bath towel standing on the edge of a balcony fourteen or fifteen floors up, her unkempt appearance suggesting she might fall at any moment.

"That woman is going to jump!"

Gu Yuexi also saw the woman, shouted in surprise, with concern written all over her face.

The young woman stood on the edge of the balcony, looking despondent as she shouted toward the room, "Liu Xuan, I must be blind to have ever liked you. In your eyes, am I just a piece of merchandise you can sell?!"

"Liu Xuan?"

Gu Yuexi’s face suddenly changed, looking closely at the woman above. Upon realizing who it was, she became alarmed, "Wenwen! Brother, that’s Ye Wen up there!"

Ye Wen heard Gu Yuexi’s shout, looked down and saw both Gu Yuexi and Lin Chen standing below. Seeing her disheveled state, she felt even more ashamed and desperate.

"Liu Xuan! Even if I die and become a ghost, I will not let you go!"

Ye Wen screamed, then let go of the railing. Her body immediately fell like a bird with broken wings towards the ground.

She jumped so decisively!

Lin Chen cursed himself as he suddenly applied a great force to his feet, creating a shadow-like silhouette as he rapidly moved towards Ye Wen’s point of impact.

As Ye Wen fell straight down, Lin Chen stepped on the hood of a sedan. The hood instantly buckled, and Lin Chen used this force to directly propel himself into the air.

Lin Chen and Ye Wen met in mid-air, Lin Chen hugging her tightly and locking his arms around her body.

The immense impact stopped Lin Chen’s momentum abruptly, and together they plummeted to the ground below.

Lin Chen was not alarmed, he extended his body, energized his back and held Ye Wen in his arms.

Boom!

Lin Chen’s back slammed heavily into the roof of the sedan, the roof instantly caved in and the two of them sank into the vehicle.

Lin Chen felt as if he had been hit by a moving car, his chest and back were in severe pain.
