Urban Miracle Doctor
Chapter 628 - 628 628 Gene Weapon

628: Chapter 628 Gene Weapon 628: Chapter 628 Gene Weapon By the time Qin Han received the feedback results, his brows furrowed deeply; the problem was not with the water source.

It was the cooking oil used in household products that was to blame, and the cause of the incident was quickly identified.

All the patients’ families had purchased a certain brand of cooking oil, which was produced by a foreign enterprise that also owned a biopharmaceutical company!

The pathogen causing the widespread infection of diarrhea in Zhongzhou City originated from the laboratory of this biopharmaceutical company.

What Qin Han couldn’t understand was how the virus entered the cooking oil production workshop, given that one was located in the east of the city and the other in the west.

The strangest part was that none of the company’s key personnel or their families were infected throughout the incident.

Therefore, the feedback suggested that the incident was an accidental leak, which Qin Han found dubious.

However, he had no time to concern himself with this matter as his top priority was to develop an antidote as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, Qin Han made a call to Song Yuwei to update her on the situation at the hospital, telling her that he might not be able to come home for the next few days.

After Song Yuwei urged Qin Han to be careful, the two ended the call.

Looking at the virus sample, Qin Han’s brows furrowed deeply, for in his virus analysis he encountered an even more infuriating reality.

The virus targeted only the population of Long Country, meaning it had no effect on foreign races.

It reminded Qin Han of an incident from his previous life, in the research institute of the Sun Country, where he discovered a virus specifically designed to infect based on different racial genetics.

Commonly known as: Genetic weapon!

Deciphering a genetic virus was extremely complicated, and by eight o’clock in the evening, Qin Han and a group of doctors were still without a clue.

The Zhongzhou City government, upon suspecting that it might be a genetic weapon, no longer dared to conceal the matter and directly reported it to Ming Xizhi.

Ming Xizhi was particularly irritated by Zhongzhou City government’s concealment and was even more enraged by the audacity of foreign enterprises researching genetic weapons on Long Country’s soil.

Although there was still no conclusive evidence and the biopharmaceutical company claimed they were researching medication suitable for Long Country’s population, the politically astute Ming Xizhi already smelled conspiracy.

Without delay, Ming Xizhi reported the matter directly to the senior Mr.

Ming, who then passed it to the Divine Emperor.

Upon learning of the situation, the Divine Emperor’s expression turned gloomy, and after a long moment, he spoke indifferently, “A small frontier country dares to covet our mighty Long Country, using such mean tactics no less, it’s time to take action!”

“Divine Emperor, please reconsider.

The cause of the incident is only suspected at this point, not yet confirmed.

A hasty attack might not be well received on the international stage,” old Jiang hastily advised.

The Divine Emperor, however, waved his hand and said, “We have been too concerned with public opinion, which is why these bastards dare to act without restraint!”

Hearing this, old Jiang could only smile bitterly, feeling that the Divine Emperor’s personality seemed to have changed a lot recently.

Perhaps it was due to his contact with Qin Han.

Old Jiang wanted to say more, but the Divine Emperor waved his hand, signaling for him to leave and prepare.

With no other choice, old Jiang had to leave the Divine Dragon Society.

At this moment, the night in Zhongzhou City was pitch black, but the building of the First Hospital was brightly lit!

Qin Han and a group of doctors were racing against time to analyze the virus’s origin.

Geneticists would certainly have the upper hand in this area, but they would not arrive until tomorrow morning at the earliest.

Although all the contaminated cooking oil had been recalled, the number of infected patients was still on the rise, time was of the essence.

Finally, Qin Han let out a sigh of relief, looked up at the group of doctors, and said, “It should be alright now!”

“That’s wonderful!”

“That’s great!”

Cheers erupted from the First Hospital’s building.

However, Qin Han simply smiled and pressed his hand down, saying, “Let’s not celebrate too soon.

I’ve only figured out the pathology of his illness.

Whether the medicine I prepared will work still needs to be seen!”

“Dr.

Qin, if you’ve figured out the pharmacology, the prescription you’ve prepared will definitely work!” Zhong Meimei said with a smile.

“Right!

It will definitely work!”

Everyone chimed in agreement.

Qin Han called Dugu Wushang over and asked him to return to their medical hall to fetch several types of medicinal herbs from his inner chamber.

Those herbs were found by Qin Han in the primeval forests of Changbai Mountain, and all that was needed was to extract some of their essence to use as a catalyst for the medicine.

Just after Dugu Wushang had left, Qin Han’s phone rang; it was a call from Song Yuwei.

“Husband, are you done with work?” Song Yuwei’s sweet voice came through the phone.

Qin Han smiled and replied, “I’ve just finished a phase.

Wushang has gone back to the medical hall to get some herbs, and once he’s back, we can start preparing the medicine!”

“That fast?” Song Yuwei laughed happily, “I’m downstairs at the hospital, I’ve brought you guys something to eat!”

“You’re downstairs at the hospital?” Qin Han said, somewhat surprised.

“Yeah, I figured you all might be too busy to eat, so I came over!” Song Yuwei said, laughing.

“Alright, I’ll be right down!” Qin Han said with a light smile.

“You might want to bring a few more people, it’s a bit much!” Song Yuwei said with a laugh.

Qin Han was taken aback, then asked, “A bit much?”

“Yes, how many people are there in the First Hospital, including the doctors and nurses?

I brought three cars over!” Song Yuwei said proudly over the phone.

“Okay!” A smile appeared on Qin Han’s lips.

Song Yuwei always had a way of showing her thoughtful side when you least expected it.

He turned to the doctors and called out, “Anyone who’s strong and fit come with me, Yu Wei has prepared dinner for us!”

“Awesome!” The crowd cheered.

They had been busy since noon, and though no one mentioned it before, the mention of food made everyone’s stomach start growling.

Qin Han led a few male doctors downstairs and, seeing the three delivery vans stopped at the entrance, the doctors all shook their heads and chuckled, “We’d better contact the administrative department right away!”

“Why did you bring so much!” Qin Han asked, laughing, as he approached Song Yuwei.

“Everyone’s been working hard all day, it’s important to keep up with nutrition, and I heard that in the last three days before you came back, they’d already been fighting for three days straight,” Song Yuwei said, linking her arm through Qin Han’s.

Soon, staff from the First Hospital’s administrative department arrived at the entrance.

Seeing the amount of food in the three trucks, they exclaimed, “Wow, that’s a lot!”

A staff member said to Song Yuwei, “Sister Yu Wei, this is so much.

What’s all this?”

“Right, make sure to be careful when you’re moving it, everything is freshly made!

Don’t spill any, and also, since you all might be working through the night, I’ve also prepared supper for you!” Song Yuwei replied with a smile.

“Sister-in-law is so considerate!” the staff member said with a broad smile.
