249: Chapter 249: Execution by Shooting Tomorrow 249: Chapter 249: Execution by Shooting Tomorrow Hearing this, Zhong Yuanliang chuckled and said, “Ten moves, ten moves sounds good!”
“What are you laughing at?” the muscular man asked, furrowing his brows.
With a look of sympathy, Zhong Yuanliang said to the muscular man, “I’m not laughing at anything.
Ten moves will be over quickly.
By the way, what’s your name?”
“Amu,” the muscular man replied.
“Amu?
Don’t you have a surname?” Zhong Yuanliang asked, puzzled.
“No,” Amu said with a stern face, then staring intently at Zhong Yuanliang, he asked, “Why did you look at me with sympathy just now?”
“Uh, it’s nothing, you saw it wrong,” Zhong Yuanliang glanced at Qin Han and found him staring coldly at himself as if speaking out tonight would be his own death anniversary.
Amu said expressionlessly, “Maybe you think I can never defeat him, but I won’t give up.”
“Yeah, you can do it!” Zhong Yuanliang reluctantly replied.
Latter, Qin Han instructed Zhong Yuanliang to give the man in gray a proper burial, and Amu was to stay with Zhong Yuanliang tonight and go to the medical hall together tomorrow morning.
After agreeing, Zhong Yuanliang left the small garden with Amu.
While in the car, Amu asked, “Has Qin Han’s martial arts skill reached that legendary realm?”
Remembering the threatening look Qin Han had given him before he left, Zhong Yuanliang simply replied, “Not yet.”
When Qin Han got home, he found the study’s light still on.
Glancing at his watch, it was already late at night.
Why hadn’t Yu Wei gone to sleep?
He gently pushed open the door of the study and walked in, finding Song Yuwei had fallen asleep on the sofa with documents scattered all over the floor.
He thought to himself, “This girl is working too hard.”
Gently squatting down, Qin Han looked at the sleeping Song Yuwei’s face filled with fatigue, feeling a bit heartbroken.
Yet, he did not think about asking Song Yuwei to stop going to the office because he knew she would not agree.
No matter how calm Song Yuwei appeared in front of others, she actually felt quite insecure inside.
The things Qin Han had done recently made Song Yuwei feel uneasy.
Qin Han knew Song Yuwei did not want to become a burden to him.
Perhaps others did not know, but Song Yuwei certainly knew Qin Han had other things to do in the future.
Gently lifting Song Yuwei, Qin Han slowly walked towards the bedroom, trying to keep his movements as small as possible to avoid waking the soundly sleeping Song Yuwei.
As he gently placed Song Yuwei on the bed and was about to stand up, a flash of white caught his eye.
Due to the movement, the collar of Song Yuwei’s blouse had come undone, revealing a teasing flash of white.
At that moment, Qin Han’s gaze was completely captured by the sight, unable to move for a long while until a voice startled him, “Do you like it?”
Qin Han looked up to find Song Yuwei had woken up and was now looking at him with flushed cheeks.
“Yes, it’s beautiful,” Qin Han swallowed hard and said.
Song Yuwei kissed him lightly and whispered, “I’ve been tired these past few days, some other time…”
Qin Han smiled and covered Song Yuwei with a blanket, knowing she indeed had been exhausted these past few days.
How could he have the heart to bother her now?
The next day when Qin Han and Yang Zhentian ran back to the medical hall, Zhang Yalin had already prepared breakfast, and Zhong Yuanliang and Amu had just walked in.
As soon as Amu entered, he began looking around.
Qin Han glanced at him and said indifferently, “Xu Bingyan usually comes at noon.”
Nodding without any formality, Amu sat down and started eating breakfast.
Watching the two devour their food at the table, Qin Han felt helpless.
There used to be only one person who ate like this at the table, now there were two, and when number three returned, there would be three.
Watching Zhong Yuanliang stuff a braised egg into his mouth without swallowing it before starting on a second one, Qin Han hurriedly picked one up and was just about to peel it when his phone rang from the side.
“Qin kid, Number Three and a few of his comrades have been captured,” came Yang Zhentian’s voice from the phone.
Qin Han put down the braised egg and frowned, “What happened?”
“Number Three and his team killed that man’s son,” Yang Zhentian said.
“And then?”
“Then, the military had no choice but to arrest Number Three, and actually, they didn’t even try to run…” Yang Zhentian continued.
Qin Han took a sip of tea and calmly asked, “Who is that man?”
“Zheng Jun, a second-generation member of the Zheng family,” Yang Zhentian said gravely.
“It’s him!” Qin Han said flatly.
“You know him?” Yang Zhentian asked, surprised.
“How is Number Three now?” Qin Han asked without responding to Yang Zhentian’s question.
“They will execute him by firing squad tomorrow morning!” Yang Zhentian stated in a grave tone.
“I’m going to the capital!
Elder Yang, didn’t you receive any hint before Number Three acted?” After finishing, Qin Han hung up the phone.
Rising, he patted Zhong Yuanliang on the shoulder and calmly said, “Number Three is in danger, will you come?”
“I’ll go!” Zhong Yuanliang put down his chopsticks and hastily responded.
Qin Han nodded and continued, “But the person Number Three offended is very powerful, ranked among the top in the whole Dragon Nation, and it might bring trouble to the Zhong family.”
Upon hearing this, Zhong Yuanliang fell into thought.
Seeing that he had nothing more to say, Qin Han calmly stated, “I know you have the Zhong family to back you up; I shouldn’t have asked you without thinking.
Stay home, I’ll go to the capital for a few days.”
“No, Mr.
Qin, you misunderstood, wait a moment!” After saying that, Zhong Yuanliang ran to the reception desk, grabbed a pen and paper, and began writing furiously.
A moment later, Zhong Yuanliang handed the piece of paper to Zhang Yalin, saying, “Send this to the Zhong family.”
“Mr.
Qin, I’ll go get ready!” Zhong Yuanliang said excitedly.
Once Zhong Yuanliang had left, Qin Han took the piece of paper from Zhang Yalin’s hand and read what was written: Zhong Yuanliang voluntarily disassociates from the Zhong family, his actions henceforth have no relation to the Zhong family.
Shaking his head, Qin Han laughed, “Still as thoughtless as ever!”
However, he felt reassured by Zhong Yuanliang’s actions.
A person’s achievements may not be very high, but their integrity must pass the test; he planned to teach him more once they returned.
In less than half an hour, Zhong Yuanliang returned, dressed in a white martial outfit, holding a longsword, with a backpack on, and stood calmly in front of Qin Han, saying, “We can leave now, Mr.
Qin.”
“Why didn’t you give it to your grandfather yourself?” Zhang Yalin asked after seeing Zhong Yuanliang’s attire, clearly taken aback as Zhong Yuanliang had just been home.
“I was afraid the old man wouldn’t let me go,” Zhong Yuanliang chuckled.
Qin Han, looking at Zhong Yuanliang’s attire, couldn’t help but laugh, “You don’t need to go this far, it’s not like we’re heading into battle, your outfit is a bit exaggerated.”
“Isn’t Number Three in danger?” Zhong Yuanliang asked, puzzled.
“The way to solve problems isn’t to start shouting and fighting; we don’t need to resort to violence unless absolutely necessary,” Qin Han said, patting Zhong Yuanliang on the shoulder.
