Chapter 501 - 501 502 Secret News
501: 502: Secret News 501: 502: Secret News “Please take a seat.” The old professor’s room was filled with books, all neatly arranged on shelves.
There was also a corner where strange stones were placed.
“Professor Wang, I would like to know more about matters pertaining to the Outer Domain.
I have some doubts, and I wonder if you could help clear them up for this student,” Tang Feng said.
“You may ask.”
Tang Feng picked out some topics he was interested in, and the old professor provided answers to every question.
Tang Feng was truly impressed.
“Professor Wang, I rarely admire anyone, but you are one of the few.
Forgive my boldness, but have you ever met a cultivator?” Tang Feng asked.
Professor Wang glanced at Tang Feng, “I have, but sadly, we were not fated to be connected.”
“That may not be the case.
Although your innate roots are poor, there is still a chance for you to step into the Cultivation World.”
“What are you saying?
How, how is that possible?” Professor Wang seemed very excited.
“Why would it be impossible?
You just haven’t met me before.
I’m curious about the origin of those stones,” Tang Feng inquired.
“Ten years ago, when I was teaching nuclear science in the desert, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a treasure.
Aside from gold, silver, and jewels, these stones were all that was left.
I have always found them quite exceptional, hence my research began.
About three years ago, I saved a cultivator who, to repay me, gave me a Secret Scripture.”
“Is it a Cultivation Technique?”
“No, it’s a record of travels.
What I’ve told you, most of it comes from the experiences recorded within.” Professor Wang took out the Secret Scripture and handed it over to Tang Feng.
This item was of no use to him anymore and he took the opportunity to gift it to Tang Feng.
“This is too valuable; I cannot accept it.”
If I say take it, you take it.
Seeing how straightforward Professor Wang was, Tang Feng did not want to disappoint him with an empty gesture of refusal.
He directly bestowed an elixir upon him, “Take this, and you’ll be well in a few hours.”
“Thank you, I will take it right now,” said Professor Wang as he tilted his head back and swallowed the pill.
The reason he was so eager was the fear of any mishap with the elixir.
Once its power dissolved, he felt noticeable changes in his body.
His bones were regenerating, and he was undergoing dramatic transformations.
With a loud sound from within, his Dantian was finally able to absorb Spiritual Energy.
Thump, Professor Wang knelt down.
He was his savior, his benefactor.
He thought he wouldn’t have to face death again now that he was of advanced age.
But after all this turned out to be real, Tang Feng took those stones away.
Professor Wang was not pained by this loss; to him, they were just inanimate objects when left untouched.
Taking them away did bring some sense of reluctance, for they had been his companions for a considerable time.
After leaving Professor Wang’s place, Tang Feng went straight to Lin Siyu’s office.
“Do you two need something?” The tone was noticeably colder.
Seeing Tang Feng leading a woman in, it would have been surprising if she had not exploded with anger.
“I need to use your office for a bit.”
“Thinking of doing something bad?” Lin Siyu could no longer contain herself; this guy really was too much.
Couldn’t he at least come to comfort her?
“What could it be?
You’re welcome to watch,” Tang Feng said without paying further attention to the two women as he began examining the ancient fossils.
Indeed, these were treasures.
Within them, Tang Feng noticed traces of life essence.
Tang Feng simply sat down and took each piece in turn to inspect.
He discovered that ten pieces were useful, the rest had little value.
Tang Feng took out a sword and began to unravel the stones.
Using his Divine Sense to probe, he easily unraveled everything.
One after another, miraculous items appeared before Tang Feng and the two women.
“What adorable little creatures.” Realizing that these were ten living beings, Tang Feng’s curiosity grew.
These tiny beings seemed to have been barely clinging to life, but now they showed improvement and seemed to expand when exposed to the wind.
They had grown to the size of a palm.
“Tang Feng, what are these?” Lin Siyu couldn’t help but wonder.
“I don’t know either, but I can be sure that these creatures were once very glorious in the Outer Domain Star Domain.
I don’t know why they appeared on Earth,” Tang Feng said.
“Perhaps they had come here a long time ago and merely encountered an accident along the way; there’s some sense in that idea,” Tang Feng remarked.
“All this is just your speculation.
Let’s see what they look like when they grow up,” Tang Feng said excitedly.
“How do you raise them?
What do they eat?” Lin Siyu asked.
“There’s no need to raise them, these are Innate Spiritual Beasts.
Do you two want to pick a couple and play with them?” Tang Feng suggested.
“Sure!” Both women happily chose one.
Tang Feng collected the rest.
After taking care of these, Tang Feng decided to venture into the desert.
Professor Wang probably hadn’t searched thoroughly.
There might still be things in there; it’s just unknown if they’ve been buried by the desert.
After chatting with the two women for a while, Tang Feng decided to leave.
“Can I come with you?”
“No, it’s too dangerous.
If we encounter a formidable enemy, I won’t be able to take care of you,” Tang Feng explained.
“But what if you’re gone for another year?” Zhai Xiaoyan asked.
“It won’t happen.
I need to check the origins of these things,” Tang Feng replied before leaving.
Zhai Xiaoyan could only watch his figure disappear into the distance.
Why won’t he take me with him?
Fully armed, Tang Feng was purely in it for the adventure this time, eager to not miss out on other Innate creatures.
Having a map made things much easier; two days later, he appeared in the desert.
The endless Sand Sea, truly a place that had become extinct to humankind.
Tang Feng’s Divine Sense swept over a territory.
Nothing was found; there was no enhancement.
Undeterred, Tang Feng searched carefully, increasing pace, and just when he was about to give up, he finally found something on a dried-up riverbed.
Without a second word, he shifted the pile of sand away.
In the lake, a damaged Spirit Boat appeared in front of Tang Feng.
The craftsmanship of this Spirit Boat was even better than the one he’d previously obtained.
Unfortunately, it was severely damaged, but thankfully, the things inside were still there, even many skeletal remains were found; it was unclear what had happened back then.
Just as Tang Feng collected the Spirit Boat, the ground trembled.
Tang Feng didn’t take any chances; he realized he was locked in by several powerful auras.
As he was about to react, from beneath the sands, shooting skyward, four gargantuan Spiritual Beasts appeared before Tang Feng.
Were these Sand Dragons?
They had two horns, and their bodies were transparent; even the movement of blood within them was clearly visible.
Roar!
The four Sand Dragons, seeming extremely hungry, all bit towards Tang Feng together.
Tang Feng took out his Immortal Sword and, with one swing, sent the four Sand Dragons flying.
But to his surprise, they were completely unharmed.
This surprised Tang Feng a great deal.
So, he reinforced his blade with Spiritual Essence and slashed again with the Immortal Sword.
Without Immortal Essence Power, naturally, he couldn’t unleash his absolute strength.
But it was enough to deal with these Sand Dragons.
Boom!
An utter rout, yet still he couldn’t injure them; the attack only made them more furious, churning the surrounding sands into chaos.
Now things got interesting.
Tang Feng grew interested as well; battles like this were exciting.
He kept fighting vigorously against the four Sand Dragons, feeling more thrilled and comfortable the longer the battle lasted.
Tang Feng involuntarily immersed himself in the fight.
It wasn’t until the four Sand Dragons burrowed back into the sand and disappeared without a trace that he snapped back to reality.
