Chapter 152 - 152 152 Three-Layered Thunder Element Foundation Vote Request

152: 152: Three-Layered Thunder Element Foundation [Vote Request] 152: 152: Three-Layered Thunder Element Foundation [Vote Request] Alas!

Tang Feng was not a petty man, but he did not like being deceived.

Han Yi gently tugged at Tang Feng.

As a woman, she felt sympathy for Lan Bing’s current predicament, finding it cruel to watch someone die right before their eyes.

Since she could lend a hand, she hoped Tang Feng would help Lan Bing.

“You’ve disappointed me, truly disappointed me!” Tang Feng made his move, placing Lan Bing under the Green Netherworld Tripod.

Lan Bing finally collapsed from weakness onto the Floating Cloud Boat.

Han Yi supported her and nodded at Tang Feng after seeing she was just weak; she could tell that despite his harsh words, Tang Feng had softened in his heart.

Han Yi didn’t know what the relationship between Lan Bing and Tang Feng was and she didn’t want to find out.

She just wanted to show in front of Tang Feng her generous, gentle side.

This was more important than anything else.

Han Yi truly didn’t care about Lan Bing’s well-being, but in front of a rival, she couldn’t help employing some little schemes—of course, as long as the motives were pure, there was nothing wrong with that.

“Take this,” Tang Feng tossed an Elixir to Lan Bing, feeling quite different from before.

Lan Bing gritted her teeth and took it.

Her condition was terrible, and she needed to recover as quickly as possible.

She had fought to her limits to get to this point.

Tang Feng looked at the Thunder Sea and suddenly leaped out, leaving the Green Netherworld Tripod covering the Flying Boat without following him.

“Brother Feng, what are you doing!” Han Yi was terrified as she watched Tang Feng get struck by the thunderstorm below.

However, Tang Feng quickly flew back up; his clothes were completely torn, and he was entirely exposed to the thunderstorm.

Boom!

The continuous thunderstorm mercilessly struck his body, and Han Yi could see the pain on Tang Feng’s face.

That pain, as if it were on her own body, made her resent her inability to help and bewildered why Tang Feng would torture himself like this.

Suddenly, she caught on to something and turned to look at Lan Bing—could it be because of her that he was aggravated?

Thinking this, her opinion of Lan Bing greatly diminished.

She used to not understand what ‘a woman is the root of disaster’ meant and even scorned the idea, but now she realized that some men would truly make abnormal decisions because of certain women.

Han Yi was indeed wrong about Tang Feng; he was only trying to refine his body and build the third layer of his Foundation.

If the Thunder Base were established, it would be terrifying, even Tang Feng didn’t know how powerful it would be.

Now, with his skin lacerated and bones tearing, he still bit down and without hesitation absorbed the purest Thunder Element.

The idea was good, but the process was incredibly difficult.

To completely fuse the Thunder Element with oneself, the price that had to be paid was imaginable.

If it were not for Tang Feng’s strong Divine Sense and the continuous intake of Elixirs, he probably would have already collapsed, shattered to pieces by the thunderstorm.

This is bad!

He had already reached his limit.

Tang Feng felt the rampaging Thunder Element inside him and a sense of powerlessness surged in his heart.

He couldn’t give up, for giving up meant death.

Looking at his Foundation, which was eighty percent complete, Tang Feng went all out—after all, it was a matter of life and death.

The Burning Technique!

It was essentially suicide.

As it was, the energy inside him had already far exceeded his capacity, and now Tang Feng stimulated it further; it was evident he had no way out.

If not successful, then let it be for benevolence—fuse!

All the power burst out, instantly drawing in the Thunder Element from within a hundred yards around, forcibly completing the second layer of his Thunder Base.

Boom!

Once the Foundation was complete, lightning flashed within his body, but the power of the Thunder Element became tranquil, no longer violent.

Tang Feng relaxed his divine sense, his exhausted body returning to the Flying Boat.

The next moment, he fainted.

Both his body and divine sense were completely depleted, but fortunately, the three layers of the Thunder Base were established.

“Brother Feng.” Seeing Tang Feng covered in blood, Han Yi’s tears flowed freely.

This was what a real man looked like, willing to pay the price of his life for formidable power, a spirit unmatched by women.

“He’s fine, just excessively weak,” Lan Bing, having recovered by now, said with complicated emotions as she looked at Han Yi.

Lan Bing knew she might have missed the most important thing in her life.

But she couldn’t regret it, nor was she allowed to.

For the strength of her sect, she had to forsake her own happiness.

Two teardrops fell as she leaped into the midst of the thunderstorm.

Soon, she was out of sight.

This woman was truly beyond help.

Han Yi shook her head, not expecting that in Tang Feng’s unconscious state, that woman could actually leave him behind and go on her own.

Didn’t she know that it was Tang Feng who saved her life?

Poor Brother Feng, but maybe it was for the best, with one less rival for his affection.

Such an outstanding man wasn’t one to be missed.

Han Yi watched Tang Feng silently when suddenly something emerged from his torn clothes, startling her so much she quickly turned away.

The lightning even reached there; it was too horrifying.

Han Yi’s heart pounded furiously, and after a while, she couldn’t help but want to steal another glance, her curiosity getting the better of her courage.

But she was disappointed once more; the scene from before was gone, and at this moment, Tang Feng’s body was crackling with lightning, becoming a complete thunderball.

The terrifying aura made Han Yi’s heart skip a beat.

Thankfully, the aura was contained on Tang Feng’s body and did not spread.

With no choice, Han Yi waited quietly, but the scene before her was incredibly astonishing.

What sort of cultivation technique could cause such a stirring sight?

She had no doubt that if she touched any of these Thunder Elements, she might not die but would be grievously injured.

This was not a power possessed by those in the Foundation Establishment Stage.

It was even stronger than her power at the Gold Core Late Stage.

That oppressive force was comparable even to a practitioner in the Nascent Soul Stage.

So powerful, it defied all logic.

She absolutely couldn’t disclose this, or there might be danger.

Han Yi resolved to bury what she’d seen deep in her heart, unable to imagine how terrifying Tang Feng’s strength would be after surpassing the ninth layer of Foundation Establishment.

He could probably suppress even those in the Nascent Soul Realm.

Three days later, the Thunder Element in Tang Feng’s body finally receded, and he awoke.

Seeing Han Yi, he showed a gentle smile, but he couldn’t help searching for the other woman.

“No need to look, she has already left.” Han Yi sighed softly inside, realizing that the woman from before still had a place in Tang Feng’s heart.

“I’ve worried you.

Let’s go,” Tang Feng said as he looked at the thunderstorm, his heart filled with a mix of emotions.

He hadn’t expected his impromptu attempt to be successful.

Feeling the powerful energy within him, he couldn’t help but let out a long howl of exhilaration.

He was stronger than in his previous life, and with an even more solid foundation.

He was quite pleased.

The two passed through the thunderstorm, ascended through the eighth layer, and stood on the Transmission Array, which brought them to the ninth layer.

There, they saw the Inheritance Hall on top of a high mountain, with a row of white jade stairs leading straight to the summit.

“She’s already halfway up the mountain, but it seems she has encountered trouble,” observed Han Yi with sharp eyes, quickly spotting Lan Bing’s figure.

“Let’s go too.” The moment the two stepped onto the jade stairs, two gusts of fierce wind attacked them, incredibly forceful.

Turning around, they saw it was two humanoid Puppets, with the strength of at least the Foundation Establishment Late Stage.

However, such strength couldn’t halt their steps.

The higher they went, the more Puppets appeared.

By the twenty-ninth step, at least twenty Puppets had amassed, their combined attacks were formidable, but it wasn’t until the thirtieth layer that they passed the first challenge.

The ordeal was alarming but not dangerous.

However, for the upcoming stairs, they had to prepare thoroughly; they might encounter Golden Core Stage Puppets.
