Chapter 1030: 1029: Accompany her on a journey
“Brother Feng, why did you sneak into my merchant team?” Murong Yan was always curious.
Tang Feng told her about his quest to find the three women.
Murong Yan was moved upon hearing it, but her nose felt a bit sour, realizing he had women in his life already.
Yet, she didn’t know that Tang Feng had more than just a woman; he had a whole bunch, he just didn’t mention them.
“Do you need my help?” The Murong Family’s merchant team had branches in big cities, so they could indeed help a little.
Tang Feng instinctively wanted to refuse, but thought it might hurt Murong Yan, so he nodded, saying a little inquiry wouldn’t hurt.
“Then I’ll instruct my people. I plan to head home today too, I wonder if it’s on your way?” Murong Yan asked somewhat shyly.
“Where is your home?”
“East Divine Domain, Five Mountains New City. If it’s not on your way, forget it.”
Looking at Murong Yan, Tang Feng saw that she blushed under his gaze. How could such a little thought be hidden from him?
“Alright, I’ll accompany you on the journey.” Tang Feng said with a smile.
“Thank you.”
Tang Feng chuckled, “How do you plan to thank me then?”
“However, you want.” She leaned against Tang Feng, not daring to lift her head after saying so.
“You doing this will make it hard for me to leave.”
“Ah!” Murong Yan didn’t understand what he meant.
Tang Feng whispered a few words in her ear, making Murong Yan bashfully swat him a few times.
“You’re annoying.”
“Get ready, we’re heading back.”
“Alright, wait for me a moment.” Murong Yan gave Tang Feng a quick peck and left briskly.
Tang Feng returned to the small team. They were packing up. They came by beast car, but now they’d be traveling by Divine Ship.
There’s no helping it; the more of a merchant family, the more they know how to economize. When coming, the goods were too heavy, requiring a lot of resources to keep things running.
But beast cars weren’t needed now, just took longer, but they had plenty of time.
As for why they didn’t transport the goods directly using the Divine Ring, it’s simple: it was all for advertisement.
Otherwise, why go through such unnecessary trouble?
It’d be hard for such a long merchant convoy not to draw attention along the way, though it would inevitably attract some thieves as well.
Therefore, the merchant team’s guards were at least Emperor Realm level, even the small teams moving goods were at least King Realm.
A typical thief wouldn’t dare target such a merchant team.
Furthermore, the Murong Family is a major merchant group with substantial strength; if anyone dared seize their goods, they might face annihilation, so unless it’s an exceptionally valuable treasure, thieves wouldn’t risk it.
Major merchant groups didn’t encounter madmen, generally safe: they hadn’t had an incident in thousands of years.
Of course, medium and small merchant groups didn’t have such luck, losing goods was quite normal.
When Tang Feng returned to the small team, those few were delighted, eagerly asking him how it felt to be beside Murong Yan; they all envied him.
Tang Feng merely smiled and didn’t converse on such topics, simply bidding them farewell, as he would now accompany Murong Yan continuously.
Upon hearing this, they became even more enthusiastic. Tang Feng didn’t blame them for, as servants, they naturally tried every means to climb upwards, not wanting to miss any opportunity.
After all, having spent some time together, Tang Feng gifted each person a small token, just some potions from spoils of war, yet in their eyes, they were quite valuable.
Watching Tang Feng’s departing figure, they were extremely shocked; he hadn’t been with the lady long, and he obtained such valuable potions, and not in a small quantity.
They appreciated Tang Feng’s gifts greatly.
Not everyone has such thoughtfulness.
When Tang Feng came to the front hall, he saw Murong Yan in trouble. Tu Jingtian, after discovering his second son was wiped out, came raging, and after inquiring from the servants, he brought men to the Murong Family’s garrison.
He wasn’t unaware of what sort his son was, but regardless of how despicable or bad, it wasn’t for others to educate him. One was gone before, and now another was gone, he couldn’t accept it.
Thus, Murong Yan couldn’t be let off, no matter if she was a merchant family’s heiress, offending his Tu Family, he would still seize her.
“City Lord Tu, I haven’t come to settle accounts with you yet, and you come instead.” Murong Yan released a surge of anger.
At yesterday’s banquet, had it not been for Tu Jingtian’s tacit consent, his son wouldn’t have dared act so blatantly, after all, he was still timid.
Yet, her beauty was too beguiling, finally overcoming his cowardice, he did such a deed.
Considered the various consequences, but ultimately, he brushed them aside.
According to his logic, getting Murong Yan was equivalent to obtaining the entire merchant group. If that were true, someone would’ve acted long ago, without waiting for Second Young Master Tu.
Had it not been for Tang Feng, that guy might’ve actually taken advantage.
So Tu Jingtian coming to question was utterly ridiculous.
However, he was just that tyrannical, not to mention this was indeed his territory.
“I don’t care what you think, you can’t leave. Call your father or Family Head, or I don’t know what will happen,” Tu Jingtian waved his hand, several Divine Emperors approached.
Now, the elder beside Murong Yan was long subdued; she wasn’t a match for these people, but even so, it didn’t mean she wouldn’t resist as there was still the Guard.
She called out, receiving no response, her heart sank; were they all controlled too? Impossible.
Tu Jingtian scoffed, “No need to call, those useless ones are dealt with.”
“It can’t be.” Murong Yan shook her head in despair.
“You’d better send word back; this won’t end smoothly. Take her away.” Tu Jingtian secretly praised his quick arrival; had he been a moment slower, the woman would’ve escaped.
As several Divine Emperors moved to capture her and take her away, a man appeared.
“I’d like to see who dares to take her.”
“Tang Feng, you, why are you here.” Tu Jingtian was startled, recalling Tang Feng’s reckless combat style, his heart uneasy.
“Tu Jingtian, after over a hundred years you’re still so worthless, stooping to bullying women.” Tang Feng unleashed his aura, these Divine Emperors backed off in shock.
Each one looked at Tang Feng in terror, and Tu Jingtian especially so, having suffered a major setback before.
“Tang Feng, this matter doesn’t concern you. Must you interfere?” Tu Jingtian composed himself slightly and asked.
“Hell yes, I’m pissed off with you. Also, who says it’s not my business? Murong Yan is my woman, and it was my doing with your son.”
“It’s you, I’ll kill you.” Remembering his two sons had died by his hand, Tu Jingtian went berserk.
He attacked directly, and those emperors wouldn’t stay idle either; they all attacked together.
However, with a sweep of Tang Feng’s hand, all including Tu Jingtian were effortlessly repelled.
This scene stunned everyone, including Tu Jingtian, beyond words. Murong Yan covered her mouth, her face filled with awe, unable to believe Tang Feng was that powerful.
How is it possible, you, how could you be so strong!
Tu Jingtian rose up, terror written on his face, not expecting Tang Feng’s light sweep to leave him powerless.
A mere hundred years, why the drastic difference?
Escape, he must flee.
Staying meant waiting for death.
His eyes darted about, he said to his nearby subordinates, “Attack together, then each escape for your life.”
“Take care, City Lord.” The Divine Emperors attacked Tang Feng as Tu Jingtian turned to run, yet discovered he was moving, but still in place. Looking down, he saw his feet unknowingly trapped in ice.
