The disciples of Medicine King Mountain and Lingxu Palace knew things were critical as soon as Chang Shan shouted and immediately began to retreat.

Yet Huang Zhong was stunned by the sudden situation, responding a few beats slower than the others, and saw the poison mist about to envelop him.

Chang Shan, holding his spiritual artifact, guarded against possible attacks from the Twin-Headed Serpent, and asked Sun Lin in a low voice.

The serpent’s body was coiled in front of the mountain crevice; to collect the Five-Color Human-Shaped Herbs, it must be slain.

Its two snake heads swayed uneasily, flicking its tongue more rapidly, and a bloody stench permeated the air of several feet around it, while its tail vibrated quickly, producing a strange sound.

The martial artists familiar with the Twin-Headed Serpent, like Chang Shan and others, all knew this was a signal before the serpent struck.

"Kill!"

Chang Shan, Sun Lin, and other strong cultivators at the Foundation Establishment Realm exchanged a glance filled with mutual understanding, and shouted loudly, simultaneously brandishing their spiritual artifacts, attacking the Twin-Headed Serpent from different directions.

Several spirit artifacts transformed into several beams of rainbow lights, fast as lightning, reaching the serpent in the blink of an eye.
