Chapter 1787: Chapter 1786 Thank You, Wei Hu
Wei Hu simply could not imagine that Lin Dong would actually be an Earth Realm martial artist.
A martial artist this young at the Earth Realm could easily make it onto the "Tianjiao Rankings." Why was his name not on the rankings?
"Who exactly are you?" Wei Hu stumbled backward repeatedly. Upon learning Lin Dong was an Earth Realm martial artist, his demeanor had completely changed. By now, he was utterly terrified of Lin Dong.
Lin Dong did not reply, but instead, stepped closer to him, one step at a time.
Suddenly, Wei Hu thought of something. "Why did you conceal your strength? What are you really after?"
"If you kill me, aren’t you afraid your identity will be exposed? When Qin Yitian wakes up, what will you do then?"
"Why not let me go?"
Lin Dong sneered coldly, "Do you really think I would let you go?"
Wei Hu’s face twisted uncontrollably, and then, with a sharp turn, he fled backward.
But in the face of Lin Dong, could he possibly escape?
Lin Dong unleashed his momentum, pressing down upon him with overwhelming force. Wei Hu instantly felt as though his legs had been filled with lead, unable to move even a single step.
It was as if he had been immobilized by an arcane technique, frozen in place.
At this moment, Wei Hu realized something else. "You... You aren’t just a newly advanced Earth Realm martial artist; you’re at least a middle-rank Grandmaster, perhaps even a high-ranking Great Sect Master!"
"Someone as young as you, how could your strength be this overwhelming? In this world, other than Master Lin, is there anyone else as young as you who has reached the level of a high-ranking Great Sect Master?"
Lin Dong didn’t waste any more words with him and casually replied, "Alright, you know too much. It’s time to go."
Upon hearing those words, Wei Hu’s eyes trembled as he suddenly grasped a possibility.
"Heavens! Could it be... you’re Master Lin? Is Master Lin not dead?"
Just as the thought emerged, Lin Dong struck. His fist slammed ferociously into Wei Hu’s body.
"Boom!!"
With that punch, devastating energy tore Wei Hu apart and obliterated him, leaving nothing but dust.
After dispatching Wei Hu, Lin Dong hurried to clean up the battlefield.
He carefully arranged the scene to make it appear as though "Wandering Snake" and Wei Hu had fought to the death, mutually destroying each other. Then, he walked toward Qin Yitian’s location.
Qin Yitian was now lying unconscious on the ground, her body flushed red.
Clearly, the mist released by "Wandering Snake" earlier wasn’t just for rendering people unconscious; it had additional effects.
At this moment, Lin Dong approached Qin Yitian. As he crouched down beside her, she suddenly clung to him in her dazed state.
Though she was in a muddled state, her body instinctively sought to fulfill its desires.
Her hands roamed over Lin Dong, attempting to strip off his clothes.
"I... I feel so hot..." she muttered, hot breaths escaping her mouth as she murmured incoherently.
Lin Dong quickly restrained her. If he didn’t stop her now, the two of them might very well end up conceiving children out here in the wilderness.
He gently pushed Qin Yitian away and then carefully examined her body—not to take advantage, but to assess her physical condition.
After probing her body for a while, he determined what kind of drug she had been affected by. Removing a set of silver needles, he carefully inserted them into several acupoints, including Yangchi, Yaoyan, and Rugen.
Then, he slowly twisted the needles with his fingers, assisting her in neutralizing the drug’s effects.
Since Lin Dong was currently concealing his identity, he couldn’t use the "Nine Needles of Ice and Fire," a technique capable of curing any poison in the world. Instead, he had to use a more cumbersome method of treatment.
After roughly five minutes of acupuncture, the redness on Qin Yitian’s body gradually faded, and her consciousness began to return.
Ten minutes later, Qin Yitian finally woke up.
Upon waking and finding herself in Lin Dong’s arms, with her clothing slightly disheveled, she blushed deeply.
She attempted to struggle upright, but Lin Dong quickly said, "Miss Yitian, please don’t move yet. I still need to continue applying the needles to completely purge the drug from your system."
Upon hearing those words, Qin Yitian had no choice but to remain still in Lin Dong’s arms, allowing him to proceed with the acupuncture.
While it wasn’t embarrassing when she was unconscious, now that she was awake, Qin Yitian couldn’t help but feel awkward.
During the acupuncture process, some inevitable moments of physical contact occurred.
As this was her first time being so intimate with a man, she quickly found her body flushing and heating up again.
Lin Dong remarked oddly, "This doesn’t make sense; why is your body turning red again? The drug’s effects should be gone."
Qin Yitian’s embarrassment deepened. This time, the reaction wasn’t because of the drug, but rather her body’s natural response.
Trying to divert the conversation, she asked, "Lin Dong, what happened after I fell unconscious?"
"Where’s Wei Hu? What about that assassin?"
Lin Dong explained while continuing the acupuncture, "Wei Hu and the assassin ended up killing each other. The assassin’s corpse is over there. As for Wei Hu, the assassin hit him so hard his body was shattered into pieces, not even his skeleton remained."
Qin Yitian glanced at the battlefield and saw the ground littered with flesh—a sight that presumably belonged to Wei Hu.
Wei Hu had sworn to tear Lin Dong into ten thousand pieces and leave no trace of his bones. In the end, however, he met just such a fate himself. A poetic form of justice, perhaps.
Qin Yitian took only a brief look before her stomach churned, nearly making her vomit.
She quickly turned her head away, unwilling to see more.
"Wei Hu truly was a good man. To save me, he actually fought the assassin to the death," Qin Yitian said with an emotional tone, averting her gaze.
Who knows what Wei Hu would think in hell, hearing such praise from Qin Yitian?
Nobody expected that even in death, Wei Hu would receive his metaphorical "good person card" from Qin Yitian.
Lin Dong remained silent, diligently finishing his acupuncture work on Qin Yitian.
Several minutes later, he finally eliminated all traces of the drug from her system.
"Alright, the drug is completely out of your system now," Lin Dong said.
Qin Yitian nodded and stood up from Lin Dong’s embrace.
She glanced again at Wei Hu and the assassin’s remains and walked toward Wei Hu’s general direction, bowing deeply.
"Wei Hu, thank you. Because of you, I and Lin Dong were able to survive. Both Lin Dong and I will forever remember your sacrifice."
"We’ll live well, and we’ll live even better in the future. We won’t let your sacrifice be wasted. Watch over us from the heavens."
As she finished speaking, she turned to Lin Dong with a solemn expression and said earnestly:
"Lin Dong, from now on, we must both live well, so that Wei Hu’s spirit may rest in peace. Right?"
Lin Dong: "..."
In his heart, Lin Dong thought that Wei Hu’s spirit would probably curse him for all eternity.
Of course, he didn’t voice these thoughts.
Instead, he nodded seriously and replied, "Yes, we must live well. Only then can we honor Wei Hu’s sacrifice."
If Wei Hu could hear them from the afterlife, he’d likely explode with rage, claw his way out of his coffin, and scream:
"The one who shattered me into pieces was that kid beside you! And you’re thanking me? I curse all eighteen generations of your ancestors!"
"You think I wish for your happiness? I wish for your death! Immediate death!"
But clearly, such outbursts were impossible. Without the cultivation of a Heavenly Realm martial artist or the refinement of spirit and soul, there was no coming back to life.
Wei Hu was well and truly gone. Forever extinguished, incapable of hearing anything from the mortal world.
After her tribute to Wei Hu’s shredded remains, Qin Yitian finally prepared to leave with Lin Dong.
Since their car had exploded, they had no choice but to walk to Nanyang City to search for another vehicle to continue their journey to the Southborne Pill Alliance’s headquarters.
The two began their trek through the forest...
