"Evidence of a crime? What evidence?" Director Zheng puffed out his belly and looked at him with interest, saying, "Let’s see this evidence you’re talking about."

"These are all the accounts disbursed by the trade department over the past three months from the finance department. Please personally review them, Director Zheng," Lin Zifeng said, as he pulled the accounts from his pocket and handed them to Director Zheng.

After receiving the accounts, Director Zheng glanced around playfully and said, "Is this it?"

"Isn’t this enough?" Lin Zifeng said coldly.

"Haha, my boy, do you naively think these few scraps of paper are evidence of a crime? Do you have any witness or material evidence?" Director Zheng, his face full of smiles, turned to Nangong Bing and laughed, "President Nangong, do you believe in this boy’s ’evidence’?"

Director Zheng’s weathered face revealed a hint of a playful smile, his presence putting pressure on Nangong Bing.

Nangong Bing’s expression softened slightly and he spoke seriously, "Director Zheng, the security department might have been careless this time causing such a disturbance. Since everything is fine now, I don’t think you would want to pursue this matter further, right?" Nangong Bing also fixed his gaze firmly on Director Zheng, the implication clear that if Zheng continued to press the issue, no one would benefit.

"Hehe, President Nangong really has a deep and far-sighted strategy." Director Zheng’s expression changed slightly as he chuckled. He understood that Nangong Bing was covering for Lin Zifeng. Since Nangong Bing did not wish to continue pursuing the matter, Director Zheng, not being a fool, knew that escalating the issue would benefit no one.

"Do you have anything else?" Nangong Bing asked, her eyes sharp as she looked at Lin Zifeng.

"President, are we just going to let these ’evidence’ go? The documents clearly record all the fraudulent activities in trade for the past three months. Aren’t you going to take a look?" Lin Zifeng could not understand what game these corporate heavyweights were playing. Now the evidence was right in front of them, and if it were to be handled immediately, Sun Xiaonao, no matter how powerful her backing might be, would be of no consequence. Even if she accused him of rape, he was not afraid.

Unfortunately, although Lin Zifeng had strong backing, Nangong Bing was completely unaware of his identity. Nangong Bing had always treated Lin Zifeng as just an ordinary security guard waiting to die.

"Enough! This entire thing has been a misunderstanding. I hope no one else brings it up again." Nangong Bing scanned the room with cold eyes, then turned to Sun Xiaonao and said sternly, "Minister Sun, you know what to do now, right?"

"I, I... President Nangong, I’ve been framed, he, he tried to rape me!"

"Whether or not a strong woman harassed you, I don’t know, but now I hope no one ever mentions this matter again," Nangong Bing’s voice was cold, her words like frost striking Sun Xiaonao’s heart, causing Sun Xiaonao to shiver uncontrollably.
