Chapter 519: Chapter 514: Troubles in The Martial Arts World Should Not Affect the Family
"Kid, today you’re going to die along with this little punk!" Scar, his eyes bloodshot, thrust his knife-wielding arm forward again, but Lin Zifeng’s hand was like an iron clamp, making it impossible for Scar to move the blade even a fraction of an inch.
"You!" Scar was getting really pissed off, his eyes bloodshot.
"Don’t just stand there, kill the bastard!" Scar turned and roared at his underlings.
Lin Zifeng’s eyes shone, as he grabbed Scar’s wrist and forcefully twisted it outward. Scar grimaced in pain as his whole wrist bent awkwardly, and the cleaver clanged to the ground.
Su Ni was quick too, immediately picking up the cleaver and kicking Scar in the abdomen. Scar doubled over in pain and dropped to his knees. Su Ni held the cleaver to Scar’s neck and shouted fiercely, "Who dares!"
Sure enough!
When the boss was captured, his minions immediately stopped, none of them daring to rush forward heedlessly.
"Don’t mind me, the little bitch doesn’t have the guts to hurt me!" Scar bellowed, clutching his wrist.
"She might not dare to hurt you, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t dare!"
Lin Zifeng gave a slight smile, lifted Scar’s wrist abruptly, and with a strong yank, Scar’s burly body suddenly fell forward, face-planting into the ground in a most undignified manner. Several of his teeth popped out fresh from his mouth due to the impact, and he was in so much pain he almost cried out.
"Aaahhh—!"
It wasn’t over yet. Just as Scar tried to stand up and curse, the evil young man in front of him stomped hard on the back of his right hand. As the foot grinded a few times, a bloodcurdling scream arose once more.
Seeing his right hand back being ground by that evil foot, the skin bursting open and flesh turning mushy, one could only imagine the excruciating agony Scar was in.
"Still think you won’t get hurt?" Lin Zifeng squinted down at him with a deceptive smile.
"You got the guts, kill me today! Otherwise, I’m making sure your sister will beg for death but won’t be allowed to die!" Scar threatened through sweat and pain.
"You’re threatening me now?" Lin Zifeng kept smiling, but his foot did not stop crushing, continuing until all the skin on the back of Scar’s hand was torn.
"You, just you wait and see. Don’t think having cops send the girl home means you’re safe—I’m telling you, you have no idea what happens to people who mess with the Azure Dragon Sect...Aaahhh—!"
Scar couldn’t finish his sentence as the intense pain shot through his fingertips to his heart, contorting his ugly face horrifically.
"Look, believe it or not, that’s up to you! But if you dare to hurt me today, I’ll have my brothers rape your sister a hundred times over!" Scar continued to threaten, his voice hoarse with exertion.
Upon hearing this, Lin Zifeng’s face became still as water, expressionless as he turned his head to Su Ni: "Are you sure you got my sister sent home?"
At that moment, Su Ni, clutching her injured chest, looked somewhat embarrassed and shook her head to indicate she did not know.
"Haha... I bet my brothers are having their turn with that chick right now!" Scar laughed hideously, his bloodshot eyes fixed on Lin Zifeng.
"Damn it," Lin Zifeng cursed under his breath. How did he not foresee that the so-called police were in cahoots with these crooks? Scar’s words might very well be true. It was better to err on the side of caution; he couldn’t bear to see Li Lin suffer any misfortune.
"Where is she now?" Lin Zifeng’s expression becoming colder and colder as he asked.
"Haha, if you can, kill me!" Scar laughed savagely.
"Don’t worry! My colleague said they’ve sent your sister home already."
Su Ni took out her cellphone and warned,
"If you wait until you get back, it’s not certain that you’ll be able to see him anymore, haha..."
The grin on Scar’s face turned into a grimace of pain as the color slowly drained from his menacing expression.
Lin Zifeng’s foot ground down, turning the flesh on Scar’s right hand into numerous bits of pulp.
"Officer Su, I’ll leave him to you," Lin Zifeng said as he kicked Scar into unconsciousness, causing the surrounding lackeys to freeze and not dare to move an inch.
"Where are you going?"
"I need to go back and see, to see if my sister is all right!" Lin Zifeng didn’t wait for Su Ni to speak before he started running towards the row of vans at the end of the road.
Only when the man’s figure had faded away did Su Ni finally breathe a sigh of relief, quickly taking out her phone to call for backup from the station.
...
Lin Zifeng sped all the way, pushing the van to its maximum speed, taking advantage of the sparse traffic in the late night and disregarding all else.
As Scar had indicated, when Lin Zifeng found Li Lin, he discovered that Li Lin’s parents had been knocked unconscious on the floor, the house in complete disarray. Tables, chairs, and cabinets had all been upturned, and even the usual household goods had been smashed to pieces!
Lin Zifeng clenched his teeth in fury, unable to believe that the underworld had become so bold, even having connections with the police station!
What he found most hateful was that he had actually believed the police and let them take Li Lin home, which turned out to be the biggest mistake he had made.
After helping Li Lin’s parents up, they gradually came to their senses in a daze. However, they became extremely agitated, clinging to Lin Zifeng’s hands and pleading him to save Lin’er quickly. Seeing their emotional turmoil, Lin Zifeng became truly enraged. ’Trouble should not extend to the family’ was a rule in the Martial Arts World, but this rule had been broken, and even if Lin Zifeng was patient, he could no longer bear it.
After calming the parents down for a moment, Lin Zifeng hurried downstairs to check the situation on the ground. The only way to find Li Lin based on the route was to observe the tire tracks on the ground. With his keen observational skills honed as a mercenary, he instantly kicked into gear.
About ten minutes earlier, two vans had left this place – that was Lin Zifeng’s first instinct. Not taking his car, he relied on his legs to follow the fresh tire tracks.
Initially, both sets of tire tracks followed in a straight line, but at a corner, the two vans unexpectedly split off in different directions!
One set of tire tracks headed towards Zhonghai City area, while the other set went towards the suburbs of Zhonghai City.
Lin Zifeng’s brooding broadsword-like eyebrows furrowed even more.
These guys were certainly not as simple as ordinary hoodlums.
Based on Lin Zifeng’s years of experience, the tire tracks heading towards the city were noticeably heavier than the other set, meaning that the van heading towards the city must have had more people inside, creating the different weight on the tire tracks.
But halfway through the chase, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
All at once, Lin Zifeng slapped his forehead. The road leading to the city was precisely the one he’d just come from. With not even a ghost in sight on the road, how could they possibly head to the city?
Therefore, the most likely possibility was that they were trying to mislead him to achieve their goal.
Damn it!
He had almost fallen for the trick, and Lin Zifeng couldn’t help but admire these thugs— their counter-surveillance capabilities were just too strong. It’s no wonder the Zhonghai City police couldn’t handle them, as these guys had far exceeded the scope of ordinary thugs.
