Chapter 469: Chapter 464: Are You Stupid? (Five More)

After noticing Nangong Bing’s somewhat evasive gaze, Lin Zifeng did not press further with questions.

Accompanied by Nangong Bing, the two quickly entered the orthopedic hospital.

Seeing the crowded registration queue, Lin Zifeng felt his head swell, wondering when it would ever be his turn to register with so many people in line.

"You sit for a while, I’ll go line up for you," Nangong Bing’s delicate fingers gently guided Lin Zifeng to a bench, her soft voice moved him slightly.

"I should go instead. You are an executive, it doesn’t seem right to have you line up for me, a low-tier employee," he protested.

"Are you trying to annoy me on purpose?" she asked.

"No, when have I ever intentionally annoyed you?" Lin Zifeng felt frustrated. Was letting her sit and rest while he lined up for registration considered annoying her?

Then he might as well be infuriated every single day.

"You are the patient now, so you don’t need to do anything, just leave everything to me," Nangong Bing straightened her chest, her posture that of a dutiful housewife.

"Hehe, wife, you’re really kind," Lin Zifeng grinned.

"What did you say!" Nangong Bing suddenly glared at him with vehement eyes.

"Uh... my mistake, my mistake, it was just a slip of the tongue, hehe, sorry, sorry," he quickly slapped his own mouth, a flattering expression on his face.

"Hmph, don’t call me that randomly anymore," Nangong Bingjiao chided, then turned around and went to queue up.

Watching Nangong Bing’s slender figure, stepping in black, chic high heels, Lin Zifeng found her quite enchanting.

However, Lin Zifeng knew that his relationship with Nangong Bing could not develop any further.

And Nangong Bing didn’t like him at all.

Just as Lin Zifeng was lost in thought, someone suddenly patted his shoulder.

Turning around, he saw a middle-aged man with a sleazy appearance grinning at him, giving Nangong Bing a suggestive look, then scanning Lin Zifeng before laughing, "Brother, is that your wife?"

Lin Zifeng nodded nonchalantly, but then shook his head.

The middle-aged man did not understand his gesture and persistently asked, "Is she or isn’t she your wife?"

Lin Zifeng still ignored him, giving him a look that one might give to an idiot, and chose to disregard such a person.

"Ai, what a waste of beauty, a mute bagging a beauty who looks like a ’Heavenly Immortal,’ it’s really unfair," he said, stealing glances at Lin Zifeng to gauge his reaction, only to be greatly disappointed as Lin Zifeng did not move at all, staring straight ahead as though he heard nothing.

"Oh my! Can’t believe he’s deaf too?" the middle-aged man exclaimed with dead fish eyes.

Lin Zifeng continued to make no moves, not even blinking his eyes.

The sleazy man shook his head, his gaze lingering on Nangong Bing’s beautiful figure, muttering, "What a beautiful woman, but she’s wasted on useless scum like that. It seems the truth of beauties pairing with beasts still doesn’t change."

It wasn’t until Nangong Bing had registered and was walking towards Lin Zifeng that the middle-aged man’s eyes lit up.

With lascivious eyes and an exaggeratedly open mouth, he was completely stunned, especially when Nangong Bing glanced his way, the jerk’s pants even started to get wet... the legendary big pervert!

"Registration’s done, let’s go," Nangong Bing’s body scent made the middle-aged man’s mouth water.

Nangong Bing coldly glanced at him, just a mere glance.

This guy was utterly infatuated.

"Your friend?"

"Don’t know him," Lin Zifeng shook his head.

"Then why are you standing so close to him?"

"I have no idea where this big idiot came from," Lin Zifeng shrugged.

"Let’s go." Feeling the undisguised gaze of the middle-aged man, Nangong Bing started to feel a bit disgusted.

"Yeah." Lin Zifeng nodded and led Nangong Bing toward the third floor of the orthopedics department.

It wasn’t until Nangong Bing and he had walked some distance away that the middle-aged man gradually snapped out of his daze.

"Hey! Hey! Isn’t he a deaf-mute? How can he still talk?" The middle-aged man was baffled too.

Upon closer thought, he suddenly jumped up from the bench.

Yelling at the top of his lungs, he cursed, "Damn it! Who’s the idiot? Who’s the idiot? It’s you! It’s you, your whole family is!"

He thought that cursing might relieve his frustration.

However, the surrounding people in line cast disdainful glances at him.

They all shouted angrily, "Idiot!"

...

"Doctor, how is his arm? Is it serious?"

In the orthopedic diagnosis room, under Nangong Bing’s insistence, Lin Zifeng was strapped down like a trussed pig’s trotter and had several X-rays taken.

In the end, the old Chinese doctor stared at the X-rays for a long time but couldn’t make out the results.

"Um, about his issue, his issue..."

Damn it! I’m just here for some X-rays, not to have my skin sliced off. Why the fuss?

Lin Zifeng had long since taken a dislike to this old guy, suspecting he was trying to scam them.

Nowadays, doctors frankly just prescribe medications recklessly. Some people who aren’t even sick end up getting treated for illnesses they don’t have.

"Doctor, how is it looking? His arm is okay, right? Is it serious?" Nangong Bing furrowed her beautiful brows, lightly biting her lip, her expression growing anxious for fear that something might happen to Lin Zifeng.

"This issue is somewhat serious, could be big or small, fortunately, you brought him in time. If it had been two or three days later, it could have been more serious," the old Chinese doctor shook his head, sighed, and his wrinkled face seemed troubled, but he just couldn’t specify Lin Zifeng’s condition, especially with his constant use of ’well’ making it hard to guess what dialect he was using.

"Look here, old man, what exactly is my condition? Give me a straight answer, stop shaking and swinging your head. We need a conclusion," Lin Zifeng started mimicking the old doctor’s tone of speaking, which turned the old man’s face rather green, especially as Lin Zifeng imitated his dialect with crisp articulation, causing the old man to puff out his cheeks, but he didn’t retort.

"Stop it," Nangong Bing quickly reached out to pinch his thigh.

The pain almost brought tears to his eyes.

I am a patient right now! Isn’t this a bit too harsh?

What was originally a minor issue persisted until they left the hospital.

His arms were completely covered in plaster casts, to the point he couldn’t even bend them.

No matter how much Lin Zifeng tried to explain that it really wasn’t anything serious, Nangong Bing insisted on having the old Chinese doctor treat him as if he were a twisted doughnut...
