"No!" Lin Zifeng flatly denied, "I simply wanted to escort you home." He really didn’t want his heroic image to stick, so he made up a reason on the fly.

"That’s it?" Zhang Yuxuan tilted her head, questioning him in a tender voice.

"Heh heh, don’t think too highly of me. Tonight was purely an accident; I didn’t go out of my way to help you."

"But you saved me and my sister, that’s a fact, right?"

"You could say that," Lin Zifeng nodded.

"With such heavy rain outside, are you not going to stay?" Zhang Yuxuan got a little annoyed at Lin Zifeng’s lack of tact as he prepared to leave.
