Chapter 380 You’re Deliberately Messing With Me

Bang!

Under the mighty force of Lin Zifeng, the mustachioed man was sent flying in an instant, crashing heavily onto the table, which was flipped over by the sheer force of the impact.

Fortunately, Lin Zifeng had controlled his strength impeccably, otherwise that single blow would have been enough to take the mustachioed man’s supposed nine lives, should he have been as lucky as a cat.

Watching the mustachioed man struggle on the ground for a long while before bellowing in pain as he stood up, everyone looked at the man in the neat suit with renewed shock.

Even Zhang Xixi had her mouth agape, unable to believe what had just happened.

Lin Zifeng had moved so swiftly, not even a shadow had stirred.

The swift action that sent the mustachioed man flying hadn’t given anyone time to react. Now, everyone looked at the smiling man in the center with fear.

This truly confirmed his earlier words, "Stand back, or you’ll get splattered with blood!"

"Beat him to death for me! Smash him, I’ll stand by you no matter what!" The mustachioed man, finally steadied himself, blood still at the corner of his mouth, but otherwise spirited. Clearly Lin Zifeng hadn’t struck too hard, or it would have been the end of him.

But as he stood up, he was still defiant, thinking that his defeat was just a minor mistake on his part.

Pointing at Lin Zifeng’s nose, he roared at the people around him.

As expected!

Dozens of underlings quickly surrounded Lin Zifeng.

Some picked up random objects to use as weapons, and there were even a few who, unable to find anything suitable, simply grabbed a brick.

Each of them had a ferocious look, like demons unleashed.

Frightened, Zhang Xixi’s complexion turned pale in an instant. Clutching Lin Zifeng’s arm, she asked in fear, "Zi, Zifeng, what do we do now?"

As she said Lin Zifeng’s name, Zhang Xixi hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should address him so familiarly, it seemed too intimate, but considering the situation at hand, Zhang Xixi still called out.

"Just stand behind me and close your eyes. I’m worried you’ll get splattered with blood later," Lin Zifeng replied with a shrug and a smile, his demeanor nonchalant and at ease.

"Fuck your mother! You dare to show off in front of me? Let me show you... Ah—! Pain, pain, pain!"

The mustachioed man was pointing at Lin Zifeng’s nose and cursing him, but he didn’t get to finish his sentence.

In an instant, Lin Zifeng grabbed the man’s middle finger and violently twisted it downward.

There was a crisp snapping sound.

The mustachioed man’s middle finger was forcefully bent by Lin Zifeng.

The pain was so intense that the man grimaced as though he was about to kneel.

Insulting him was one thing, but insulting his parents was Lin Zifeng’s greatest taboo in life.

Anyone who dared to defame his parents would not receive a hint of mercy from him.

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s expression suddenly turn somber, Zhang Xixi became afraid, her delicate body trembling. Surrounded by dozens of men, despite her faith in Lin Zifeng’s strength, how could one man possibly fight off so many, especially when they were all armed?

"Brothers, beat this bastard to death!" the mustachioed man screamed desperately.

His legs were in so much pain that he knelt down, while Lin Zifeng kept a firm grip on his middle finger, his gaze coldly sweeping over the crowd. He said with a cold laugh, "I don’t mind breaking a few more fingers."

Whoosh!

No sooner had Lin Zifeng finished speaking than someone led the charge, brandishing a brick and attacking toward his head.

But just as he rushed up, before he even got close, he thudded to the ground.

The second one came at him, and he too fell—

The third one charged, and once again went down—

...

It wasn’t until the fifth person charged that the crowd started to realize the terror of their opponent. Within an instant of confrontation, five strong men had fallen, without even the slightest chance to fight back.

Only then did Zhang Xixi, who was behind him, slowly open her eyes, looking at Lin Zifeng with disbelief. Her mouth hung open, utterly mesmerized by Lin Zifeng’s dominating presence. What kind of man was he?

Owing to Zhang Xixi’s presence, Lin Zifeng didn’t want to turn the scene too bloody and violent, choosing instead to hit the paralysis points under their armpits, rendering them temporarily incapable of fighting back.

"Quick, call Brother Liu over here!" the mustachioed man on the ground bellowed frenziedly. His broken fingers were still firmly grasped in Lin Zifeng’s palm.

The intense pain, as though his heart were in his fingers, almost sent the mustachioed man into a rampage.

"Brother Liu?" Lin Zifeng looked at the mustachioed man with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, curious to see for himself just how divine this Mr. Liu was.

After releasing the mustachioed man, Lin Zifeng took a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and waited quietly.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xixi beside him watched everything anxiously, fearing she would bring trouble to Lin Zifeng because of her own problems. She approached him several times, trying to persuade Lin Zifeng to leave quickly, but each time he merely offered her a reassuring smile.

Finally, unable to dissuade him, Zhang Xixi felt at ease under the encouragement of his strong, confident gaze.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the man they called Brother Liu finally appeared at the job site.

Leading a gang, weapons in hand, they hurried to the scene only to find their fellow gang members lying in disarray on the ground of the job site, groaning in pain.

There stood a young man in black clothing with black hair within the empire of the job site, casually smoking a cigarette, comforting Zhang Xixi not to be too nervous.

Seeing this, Liu San immediately flew into a rage, but when he saw that the lone opponent had taken out all of his numerous underlings, he knew he wasn’t dealing with an average Joe.

Liu San narrowed his eyes ominously and spoke in a somewhat somber voice, "May I ask which part of the Martial Arts World this brother hails from?"

After all, in an international metropolis like Zhonghai City, the complexity of the undercurrents is beyond the average person’s imagination.

Many matters of the Martial Arts World are hard for outsiders to understand.

"Infernal Affairs."

Lin Zifeng looked at him teasingly. He blew out a ring of smoke and said with a smile.

"So, you’re saying you deliberately toyed with me?" the man called Liu San shrugged subconsciously, his gaze flickering with a hint of menace.

When his gaze shifted to Zhang Xixi, a glint of greed flashed in his eyes, though he quickly came back to his senses.

"You don’t have that kind of standing," Lin Zifeng said indifferently. "I’m giving you one last chance: release her father."

"Heh, do you think you’re in any position to bargain with me now?" Liu San laughed darkly, then continued, "I know you can fight, but however tough you are, you’re just a fool. There’s a police station not far from here with my friends inside. If you’re willing to kneel down and apologize to me now, and maybe compensate me with a few hundred thousand for medical expenses, I might consider letting you off. But as for the beauty by your side, heh, she’s probably not going to be able to leave today."

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s indifferent attitude, Liu San decided to drop all pretense and reveal his true colors. In his eyes, the other party was nothing more than a young fool who thought he could stir up trouble with a bit of martial prowess.
