Chapter 328: The Handsome Guy Shows His Might
He thought that his two trusted men would soon have Nangong Bing escorted out. After all, with such a grand setup, wasn’t Nangong Bing bound to be moved, if not excited?
But everything completely exceeded his expectations. Three guys dressed up as underlings had just entered the villa’s courtyard, and not even half a minute later, three figures were thrown out as if they were blown away by balloons.
The three men were smashed to the ground, noses bleeding and spraying everywhere. They howled in pain continuously after they hit the ground.
"What’s going on?" Qiao Bu’en was also dumbfounded.
The trio likely suffered quite a bit from the fall, as they couldn’t utter a single word for a long while.
"What is this?" Qiao Bu’en became a bit flustered, quickly removed his pretentious sunglasses, and went to check on the three men lying on the ground like dead dogs.
"We... we don’t know what happened. As soon as we entered, we were hit by a strong force and thrown out. We didn’t even see what it was," one of the less injured guys replied pitifully, on the verge of tears.
"Ha! Sucker!" Qiao Bu’en chuckled coldly, and scorned with a cold laugh.
"You guys go in too." He pointed to a few underlings behind him, not believing in any superstitions. Could it really be haunted?
Seeing the three men on the ground, screaming in agony, possibly close to death, the fear began to rise in the hearts of those underlings. But since Qiao Bu’en had already spoken, they could only harden their scalps and rush inside.
But no sooner had they rushed through the grand entrance of the villa’s courtyard and barely opened the door a crack, a large hand suddenly struck out.
With a "smack!"
One of the underlings was directly hit in the nose, which spurted blood wildly. He screamed repeatedly as he was sent flying backward, clutching his nose.
"Ah...!"
Without a doubt, this guy’s nasal bone had been deeply sunken by the blow.
A few other underlings who hadn’t quite grasped the situation yet thought about running away but then two punches struck hard on their backs. The sound of bones cracking resounded, and two more underlings were hit, crashing into three others and finally collapsing to the ground, motionless.
At this moment, Qiao Bu’en was completely shocked!
What on earth was going on?
Could Nangong Bing’s house really be haunted?
Looking at the severely injured underlings lying haphazardly inside the villa courtyard, Qiao Bu’en was stunned.
His underlings came up to him, saying, "Boss, what should we do now?" This underling knew the dangers inside the villa courtyard all too well. If he didn’t persuade Qiao Bu’en to leave now, he might be the next one going in, and his fate wouldn’t be much better than those guys.
"What should we do? Mix it up!" Qiao Bu’en cursed.
Mix it up? Mix up your brother-in-law! Acting like an idiot, using such a cliché plot to pick up girls. If it weren’t for your old man being the boss of the Dragon Roar Association, I’d have knocked you out long ago! One of Qiao Bu’en’s underlings cursed internally.
"You go!"
Qiao Bu’en was desperate, pointing inside the villa courtyard, insisting they check it out.
"Boss, isn’t this a bit too much?"
"Do you think I’m just farting when I speak?" Qiao Bu’en shouted.
"This, this..."
Under duress, the lackey had no choice but to march toward the mansion’s courtyard.
But before he even got close to the mansion’s gate, he carefully looked back and saw Qiao Bu’en anxiously observing the area.
All of a sudden, the lackey had a stroke of cunning, his eyes swiveled, and he shouted loudly, "Ouch!"
Thinking he could fool everyone by playing tricks, Lin Zifeng, who was smoking a cigarette at the gate, turned utterly dark-faced. Before he even laid a finger on him, the lackey had started wailing like a ghost meeting a wolf.
"What happened?" Qiao Bu’en called out from outside.
"Boss, don’t come over, it’s dangerous here!"
No sooner had he finished speaking, feeling somewhat pleased with his own cleverness, than a massive Iron Fist came flying toward his face.
"Bang!"
A fierce blow landed, blood spurted wildly, and the lackey was sent flying by Lin Zifeng’s punch, his blood misting through the air like a fog.
After rolling to the back of the mansion’s courtyard, it took the lackey quite a while to get up. Had Lin Zifeng not shown some mercy, that punch might have been fatal.
"Playing the fool in front of me? You wanted to ? Well, I’ll indulge you." Behind the mansion’s gate, Lin Zifeng was holding his fist and blowing on it, and boy, did that punch feel exhilarating. The lackey probably wouldn’t be able to stand up for a week.
As for everything happening outside the mansion, Nangong Bing showed not the slightest interest. To her, these people were just tiresome.
Picking up the poster cover in front of her computer, Nangong Bing’s thoughts drifted back to the events of that night again...
"You, you guys go in again and see if it’s a person or a ghost," Qiao Bu’en had finally lost his calm.
It was broad daylight; they hadn’t seen a single living soul, and yet so many were injured. How could that not depress Qiao Bu’en?
But as soon as he finished speaking, no one dared to step forward. Seeing their brothers lying on the ground, fate unknown, who would dare to seek death now? Who knows what was actually inside?
"Damn it!" Qiao Bu’en laughed in anger, fiercely stomping out his cigarette butt and then leading a group of men toward the mansion’s courtyard. He refused to believe the superstitions; in broad daylight, could there really be ghosts?
"Kick the door down!" Qiao Bu’en’s courage was far from ordinary; to boldly bring so many people to Nangong Bing’s mansion during the daytime without any reverence showed just how he had been raised—perhaps thinking that just because his father was the president of the Dragon Roar Association of Zhonghai City, he could do whatever he wanted.
The mansion’s security had already fled, fearing that the intruders were there to cause trouble. They decided it was better to hide and watch the drama unfold from the shadows.
However, just after Qiao Bu’en’s men kicked open the mansion’s gate, they discovered a huge white dog staring menacingly at them!
In an instant, everyone at the scene broke out in cold sweat!
"Wow, that’s a huge dog!"
Someone exclaimed wide-eyed, even Qiao Bu’en was stunned.
A white dog, as imposing as a male lion, stood in front of the gate. The aura it exuded was sharply intimidating. Beneath its enormous head, a row of fierce, snow-white fangs were exposed, seemingly ready to pounce at any moment. In this situation, everyone inevitably began to feel weak in the knees and retreated; nobody wanted to stand in front. Joking aside, this dog was as big as a young cow—if it bit someone, that could be the end of them.
Even Qiao Bu’en, who usually boasted about his fearlessness, felt a dizzy urge at that moment. If possible, he wished he could just faint.
"Roar..."
The handsome, massive beast stationed at the gate continued to emit low growls, as if it could leap forward and viciously bite at any second.
"Boss, what should we do now?" a petrified lackey, his face completely pale and devoid of any blood, cautiously looked at Qiao Bu’en.
