Chapter 322: Looking Like Brother Two
"No, no, I was just appreciating her beauty, just appreciating, only appreciating." The man also groaned inwardly, thinking, "Why haven’t I run into such a beautiful woman when I go out to play? How come as soon as I’m with this pig at home, my luck with the ladies suddenly spikes?"
"Still saying no? You spineless thing! Look, look, look! What are you staring at? You kept gawking at her for so long, and now you’re owning up to it, you spineless thing. When it’s time to sow the fields back at home, you pretend to be dead, don’t you?" The woman was obviously getting angry, staring hard without caring about the man’s feelings, and started scolding.
"Unreasonable!" Seeing the woman starting to throw a tantrum, the man left with these words, angrily storming off without a hint of manliness.
"Pfft!"
At this moment, Nangong Bing, who had been selecting clothes all the while, finally couldn’t help but laugh at the scene, her beautiful face flushing with mirth. She hadn’t expected women of today to be so fierce as to reveal their personal secrets like that.
Lin Zifeng just curled his lip and joked, "Well, Bingbing, if we get married in the future, you won’t turn out like her, will you?"
"How could that be? How could I, Nangong Bing, ever become like that? After all, I am well-educated." Nangong Bing retorted without even thinking, but then her expression changed, and she widened her eyes at Lin Zifeng, saying, "Hey, Mr. Lin, who said anything about marrying you? What nonsense are you spouting?"
"Watch it, watch it, the president must maintain her image. If you want to get angry, you still have to watch your image. If you get snapped by paparazzi and end up on the cover of some magazine, then it’s game over for you, president."
"You!" Nangong Bing was at a loss for words.
"Heh heh, that’s more like it. Come on, president, didn’t you want to choose some clothes? How about I pick something for you? After all, even if a woman dresses up nicely, it’s for us men to see, right? So let me choose for you, according to a man’s taste."
Seeing Lin Zifeng acting as if to curry favor with her, Nangong Bing managed to suppress the annoyance in her heart. Although she acted as if nothing was wrong, she thought to herself: You, Mr. Lin, are seeking to amuse yourself at my expense, aren’t you? I was thinking how well-behaved you’ve been lately. Turns out I’ve overestimated you; you haven’t changed a bit.
"Come on, president, how about this outfit?" By this time, Lin Zifeng, in front of a luxurious and grand counter, had picked out two articles of clothing and brought them over to Nangong Bing.
Nangong Bing’s fair face took on a slightly different expression, flapping the clothing in her hand, and with a sweep of her beautiful eyes and a proud tilt of her head, she chuckled, "Do you even know how to pick clothes?"
"Why don’t you try it on and see?" Lin Zifeng laughed, admitting that while his fashion taste might be lacking, he still had an eye for what looked good. After all, if Lin Zifeng thought something looked nice, it was a taste shared by the masses—and what the masses chose was always best.
Since Lin Zifeng was so enthusiastic, Nangong Bing didn’t really have a reason to refuse. She went to the changing room to try on clothes and only then did she pay attention to the style of the outfit.
"Hmm, I didn’t expect this guy to have some taste; at least this outfit is quite to my liking. Huh, how come I didn’t notice this classical long dress before?" Inside the changing room, Nangong Bing repeatedly fiddled with the classical long dress and the pink casual Korean-style lace blouse that Lin Zifeng had selected for her.
After slipping into the dress, Nangong Bing placed her hands on her waist and kept checking herself out in the mirror. It was her first time wearing a classic long gown, and hmm, she did have a bit of a ladylike charm. Nangong Bing was alone in the fitting room, daydreaming, especially when she saw her Himalayan peaks rising sharply in the mirror, with a graceful and tight figure—she couldn’t help but silently praise her own beauty.
Meanwhile, Lin Zifeng, who had been waiting outside for quite some time, didn’t share Nangong Bing’s leisurely appreciation. It was just a dress he had casually picked out—did it really take that long to try on? He figured taking a shower wouldn’t even take this much time.
Overcome by a strong craving for a smoke, Lin Zifeng lazily walked over to the fitting room and knocked on the door, "Hey boss, you don’t need to take that long to try on a single outfit, right? There are people waiting behind you."
Lin Zifeng had thought he was only bluffing Nangong Bing to hurry her up, but when he glanced back, there really were people coming over with clothes in their hands!
"Is anyone in there?"
The person who arrived was a woman clad in very modern attire, her light blonde hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall of three thousand threads, exuding a fairy sister vibe. She wore a purple translucent sleeveless top and was dressed in a devilishly tempting black mini skirt that barely reached mid-thigh. At first glance, she indeed had the air of a beautiful woman; however, upon closer inspection, her appeal drastically diminished. While speaking with Lin Zifeng, her lips curled slightly upwards, her eyes flickering briefly over him without really giving him a glance, her face showing contempt—it was clear she was a haughty woman.
"Yes." Lin Zifeng simply replied and then ignored her presence completely, sitting down to one side and sipping on the fragrant tea brought by a waiter, without giving her another glance.
This caught the woman by surprise. She was very aware of her own charm, and to be outright ignored by a man with such poor taste in clothes? The slap in the face was hardly bearable for her.
At that moment, a middle-aged man with a cigar in his mouth and wearing oversized sunglasses strolled over from beside the counter and laughed heartily at the woman, "Hehe, baby, are you having a good day? Anything you like, I’ll buy it all for you today."
The man wasn’t tall and had an appearance reminiscent of ’Second Brother.’ If not for the fine clothes he wore, one could hardly tell he was human from afar. An Armani suit on him seemed like such a waste.
"Sugar daddy, I’m just so irritated right now."
No sooner had the middle-aged man approached her than the woman started cooing ’sugar daddy,’ almost causing Lin Zifeng to spit out his tea. Sugar daddy, huh? More like ’daytime dad, nighttime getting busy,’ he thought!
"What’s wrong, baby? Weren’t you fine just a bit ago? Shopping for clothes, you can’t possibly be buying things begrudgingly, right?" The man was puffing smoke rings, showing no sense of public manners, ogling the woman’s chest with lecherous eyes, as if he hadn’t had his fill yet.
"No, it’s just that there’s a dress here I really like, but the person inside has been trying it on forever, and I’m getting impatient." While speaking, the woman began to act coquettishly, stomping her foot and pouting her sensual lips, exuding a seductive fox-like charm that was not for the average person to compare with.
"Who’s inside there? Just ask her to come out, and that’s that," the man replied.
"But I already called, and he ignored me." The woman pouted, pointing at Lin Zifeng, who was sipping tea while checking his phone.
Seeing Lin Zifeng holding a knockoff phone with a blue screen, the woman felt contemptuous again, thinking: What a bumpkin, what era are we in, still using this kind of trash that’s too heavy to even serve as a brick?
