Chapter 217 I’m Not Here to Make Trouble
"Do you know what happened to someone who once pointed a finger at my face?" Suddenly, Lin Zifeng’s tone turned icy cold, even his face, which had been filled with sunny smiles just moments ago, became terrifyingly cold, his eyes blood-red as he stared intently at Zhang Fatty.
Zhang Fatty’s flesh quivered in shock as he gazed into Lin Zifeng’s deathly silent eyes, feeling as if he had been placed in an ice cellar that had lasted a thousand years. Without thinking, he stepped back, his finger trembling as he pointed to Lin Zifeng. His look at Lin Zifeng was as if he were staring at a primordial barbaric beast. He’d never seen such a piercing gaze before, and in his eyes, Zhang Fatty even glimpsed a hint of cruel strangeness. It was as if this seemingly unimpressive youth had crawled out from a pile of the dead in Hell, his aura of Ling Li piercing at Zhang Fatty like the tip of a spear.
"You! You!" Zhang Fatty began to feel afraid, his eyes bulging like those of a dead fish as he couldn’t help but retreat two steps back. Seeing Meng Youjing and Hua Buqi looking at him indifferently, in an instant, Zhang Fatty felt as if he were a person abandoned by the world, isolated from everything.
"People! Come quickly!"
Zhang Fatty bellowed at the top of his lungs.
At the same time, the company employees, who had been eagerly waiting outside, stormed in like beasts.
Hua Buqi and Meng Youjing were somewhat anxious. They’d never seen Uncle Beast lose his temper, and it was truly unique this time. Even Hua Buqi, who usually liked to joke around with Lin Zifeng, had secretly glanced at his eyes a moment ago and had started to feel a bit scared. She hadn’t expected that when Uncle Beast got fierce, he could be so terrifying, especially those long and fine eyes of his—although small, they were intensely sharp and piercing.
With a crash, the office door was kicked open violently.
A group of white-collar employees dressed in suits rushed in from outside.
The leader, a burly man with a face full of stubble, shouted at Zhang Fatty: "Big Brother, what’s the matter?" The burly man was clearly a fellow from the northeast, his accent thick as he rolled up his sleeves, ready to start a fight.
With his own people rushing in, Zhang Fatty immediately became arrogant and overbearing,
After all, he was the boss here, and he couldn’t afford to look bad in front of his subordinates.
Puffing out his chest, he sneered at Lin Zifeng with rage: "Kid, I’ll give you one chance. Just kneel down and kowtow a few times, call me ’grandpa’, and today’s matter will be wiped clean between us. But if you stubbornly want to save face, heh, the two women behind you will become my playthings today."
The group immediately surrounded Lin Zifeng and the others. Zhang Fatty swept away his fear and mocked with a cigar in his mouth.
Lin Zifeng likely knew that even if he knelt down now, they wouldn’t necessarily let them go.
Lin Zifeng had finally seen clearly that this so-called production company was indeed a dark company under the guise of martial arts world’s brotherhood—built by friends in the Martial Arts World. To put it bluntly, it was a black company, nothing more than a front used for money laundering.
Meng Youjing and Huahua crept fearfully behind Lin Zifeng, pulling at the hem of his clothes subconsciously, clearly unaccustomed to such a scene.
"If I were to kneel down, would you hit me in the face then?"
Lin Zifeng said with a smile.
Both women by his side were stunned, looking at Lin Zifeng with shocked expressions, even Zhang Fatty was taken aback, as just a moment ago, Lin Zifeng had been pressuring him with a bullish manner, and now he seemed to be begging like a turtle.
"Go to hell! Beat him to death, aim for his face," Zhang Fatty roared, his lecherous eyes uncontrollably glancing at Hua Buqi behind Lin Zifeng, lust written all over his face.
But who could have predicted that before his men could make a move, Lin Zifeng had already struck first.
A figure rapidly surged toward the crowd, with two huge palms opening and closing expansively.
"Slap slap slap!"
A few crisp sounds suddenly erupted, and two innocent underlings were slapped unconscious by Lin Zifeng in an instant, without even catching a glimpse of their assailant.
Lin Zifeng’s moves were sleazy, mostly resembling the chaotic and straightforward street fighting style of the martial arts world—aim for the weak spots with cruel and merciless strikes, nothing like the man wearing a mask, reminiscent of the Death God.
Yet it was this sleazy fighting style that, while it may work against normal people, was utterly masochistic when facing anyone with a bit of kung fu.
As they fought, the young girl and Meng Youjing couldn’t help frowning. At first, the girl was somewhat excited, even ready to cheer Lin Zifeng on, thinking the uncle next to her was a hidden master. But as the fight went on, she realized that Lin Zifeng’s fighting skills mainly consisted of low blows, as sleazy as they come, just like a street thug.
Seeing his gang about to be wiped out by Lin Zifeng, Fatty Zhang started to panic; his face jiggled in fear as he clutched his cigar, terrified that he would be Lin Zifeng’s next target.
After taking out the last underling, Lin Zifeng clapped his hands and flashed a triumphant grin at Huahua. The girl was also thrilled. Although Lin Zifeng’s fighting skills weren’t pretty, winning the fight was all that mattered, not how it looked.
But just as Lin Zifeng was preparing to deal with Fatty Zhang, he suddenly felt an unknown danger behind him and a slight curve appeared at the corner of his mouth, but he did not turn around immediately.
"Don’t move!"
A loud male voice came from behind Lin Zifeng.
A dark hand arrow was pressed against the top of Lin Zifeng’s head.
The cold metal of the arrow conveyed a dangerous signal, instantly bringing back memories in Lin Zifeng’s mind.
"Ah!"
Meng Youjing screamed, quickly pulling the girl back.
"Brother, well done," chuckled the man behind him coldly. "You dared to come to my company alone to cause trouble?"
"Oh?" Lin Zifeng raised his eyebrows, seemingly confused by the accusation, "When did I cause trouble?"
"Don’t give me that nonsense, believe it or not I’ll blow your brains out with one arrow!"
The man’s chilly lips curled up with a hint of pride as he pressed harder against Lin Zifeng’s head, sneering, "I didn’t expect you to be so bold to come and stir up trouble in my company. Tell me, who sent you?"
"Cause trouble? Look, my friend, talk is talk, but that arrow is a loaded weapon. Careless handling, and you’ll have to bear the consequences."
