Lu Yao and Yao Meishu stood inside the office of the Beijing University Principal, carrying a large bag of snacks and fruits. The Principal warmly greeted the pair of them.

The two of them were outstanding graduates of Beijing University before the current Principal took office; he had also taught Lu Yao and Yao Meishu, even though they were not in the same major.

"I never would have imagined that after so many years, you two would still end up together, married and with a child," the Principal remarked, feeling emotional.

Time really does fly; in a blink of an eye, over twenty years had passed.

Over twenty years ago, he had been a proud young man. Now, twenty years later, his hair was white, he was old.

"Ha."

Lu Yao laughed lightly.

"I remember it was you who pursued Meishu back then. I can’t believe you actually won her over," the Principal joked, teasing Lu Yao.

In her school days, Yao Meishu had been a very quiet person, kind and gentle, and was also very attractive.

Fortunately, Gu Yansi was on campus and arrived soon after. He noticed a man and a woman in the Principal’s office and his brow furrowed slightly. He stayed silent.

Upon seeing Yao Meishu, Gu Yansi knew who they were, because Yao Meishu looked extremely similar to Lu Qingyi.

"You carry on, I have other matters to attend to."

The Principal originally wanted to stay in the office, but he had no choice but to leave as he indeed had other business to attend to.

After the Principal left, only Lu Yao, Yao Meishu, and Gu Yansi were left in the office.

Gu Yansi put his hands in his pockets, emitting a chilly aura, his eyes coldly looking at Yao Meishu and Lu Yao, "What can I do for you?"

Yao MEishu looked at the handsome and refined man before her, her heart stirred, her eyes suddenly moistened, she reached out wanting to touch Gu Yansi’s face.

Gu Yansi stepped back slightly, his expression becoming colder.

Yao Meishu was deeply moved, because Gu Yansi was her own child. She wasn’t an uncaring person, she loved her children deeply.

She regretted very much what she’d done before. But if time could be turned back, she would perhaps still make the same decision. She felt incredibly guilty towards Gu Yansi.

"I am your father."

Compared to Yao Meishu, Lu Yao seemed much more composed as he spoke those words.

This was his son, his eyebrows and eyes very similar to his own. Gu Yansi appeared to be very outstanding.

"I know." Gu Yansi answered, maintaining his indifferent demeanor, cold eyes staring at Lu Yao and Yao Meishu, answering their words indifferently.
