Today was the day he would start his new job, so Neo quickly exited the building. Yulan had been following him since morning, giving him a headache.

"Where are you going?"

Yulan asked as she walked next to him, her eyes showing curiosity as she looked at all the shops in the surroundings.

The crowd was also starting to increase, so she stuck close to him to make sure she wasn’t lost.

Seeing that Neo didn’t give a reply, she asked once more. Neo ignored her and walked in the direction the two couples had given him.

Yulan asked once more; she wasn’t going to stop until she got an answer, and Neo wasn’t going to give her one.

She continued to annoy him as she smiled, as if she found it amusing. She also saw Neo’s clenched fist and knew that he was annoyed.

Answering that, he stopped staring at her and moved toward the antique shop in front of him. This was the location given to him by the couple.

"A job, why?"

Yulan asked as she followed him inside. Neo was going to ignore her, but seeing that she was about to ask once more, he replied.

"For Money and my future."

So he replied in an indifferent tone.

"Money, I can give you that. Why don’t you tell me your name?"

Yulan said as she looked at him with interest, waiting for his reply, after all, if money was really the problem, she could easily solve it.

"I don’t need your charity."

Neo replied, feeling a little annoyed by her looks.

"It’s not a charity but an exchange, you give me your name and I give you money."

Yulan replied with a smile as she felt like her reply was quite good. Neo was going to say something to her, but hearing the footsteps, he stopped.

"So are you two the ones sent by Mr.Bright?"

An aged voice asked as a fit old man walked toward them, he was wearing a brown suit with a white towel draped around his shoulder.

Neo was going to explain that he was the only one who was sent, but Yulan quickly affirmed the old man’s sentence.

"Hmm, your job is to work on the register. Your shifts are four hours long, and your pay is 1000$ a month."

He said as Neo nodded his head, he looked at Yulan, who also nodded her head with excitement. It seems the thought of working a job made her quite excited.

"Haa, The Black Land Hall is really the worst of the worst, do you think so, kid?"

The old man said as he gave a kind smile to Neo.

"Black Land Hall?"

Yulan asked, a little confused, she didn’t know what this Black Land Hall was and why it was called the worst of the worst.

"Oh, you don’t know, young lady?"

The old man asked in a surprised voice as Yulan nodded her head. She really didn’t know what the Black Land Hall was.

"Young lad, you must know what they are correct."

The old man then asked Neo, who nodded his head, he of course knew them after all, he worked for them.

"So why don’t you explain to this young lady?"

Seeing Neo nod his head, the old man said as Yulan also listened to him with a face filled with curiosity.

Yulan added, fearing that Neo may not give a reply, looking at the two people, Neo just sighed as he started to explain about the Black Land Hall.

"How dare they!!"

Yulan shouted, feeling angry about the things they had done; after all, she was raised with the mentality of more on the good side than the bad.

"Why don’t the police catch them?"

Yulan asked, wondering how such an evil organization is still standing, after all, the police of the Human Alliance aren’t just for show.

"Well, the things they do aren’t technically illegal."

Neo answered as the old man nodded his head, the things done by the Black Land Hall are all within the law.

The only thing that can be considered illegal is the fact that they plan the fall of a business by planting various items.

But this has no proof, and without it, the police can’t directly use some high-level stuff to search them.

"Hump!"

Hearing his words and the old man’s explanation, Yulan clenched her fist as she wondered if she could use her family to bring this organization fall.

"Well enough chit chat, let’s get to work, kiddos."

The old man said, breaking Yulan out of her thoughts, Neo went to the staff room to change his clothes, and Yulan followed behind.

Although she kept the matter of the Black Land Hall at the back of her mind, she was still doing something.

After all, there is no way she would just leave after getting a job, since she has taken this duty, she would fulfill it.

Plus, since Neo was also here, there was a greater chance for her to learn his name and win this game.

Neo just watched with a headache as Yulan followed him around, copying him and asking him everything that confused her.

If he didn’t answer, she would continue to repeat the question, buzzing like a bee around him. He even wondered if this was the punishment for the evil he had committed in this life.

The old man watched their interaction with a smile on his face as he took out his phone, which was an antique flip phone, something very rare in this day and age.

He said in a respectful tone, after all, he is just one of the servants that Jiayi placed to guard Yulan.

Jiayi asked, just because he was going to the Deep Void to take care of his territory, doesn’t mean that he will leave his only daughter unguarded.

Jiayi ordered as he canceled the call, the old man nodded to the phone as he looked at Yulan, who was laughing, seeing Neo’s annoyed expression.

"Aren’t you worried that your daughter would be stolen?"

He muttered before sighing, This isn’t the place for someone like you to wonder about the judgment of beings like Jiayi.

On the other side, Jiayi watched his daughter smiling while teasing Neo and could help but feel a sense of relief.

If Neo wasn’t such a bad kid, he wouldn’t have anything to worry about, but since he was, he needed to test him for now.

He hoped Neo passed his test; after all, if he did so, he could be sure that Neo would become one of the best partners of Yulan.

Doesn’t matter if they remain as friends or become lovers; he just hopes for a brighter future for his daughter.

The Deep Void seems to be calm currently, but he knows that it is a silence before the storm. From those higher beings from his Pantheon he understood that something big was going on.

Although it isn’t felt by the common people, all the higher-level people of the Outer Void(Universe) are already preparing for the worst.

"Dear, let’s go."

Yuqing said as she hugged him from behind, Jiayi nodded as he closed the picture of Yulan.

"Why did the Crimson Void( One of the Forbidden Ground) have to fall?"

Jiayi muttered as no one answered his question. This made him feel helpless, but he couldn’t do anything about it, after all, in front of such a forbidden ground, he is truly small.

"Don’t worry dear, even if the sky fall’s there will be someone to hold it up."

Yuqing said in a soothing voice, calming down her husband’s agitated emotions.
