Chapter 527: Chapter 506: Blooming at the Center

Three moves, never more than three.

No matter if the opponent is strong or weak, regardless of whether Glakov is formidable, it’s the same to Gao Yi—resolved in three moves or less.

Gao Yi doesn’t even need to use a hammer. Using the hammer is just his way of fortifying his "Hammer God" persona tied to his restaurant.

Of course, using a hammer does have the effect of killing instantly. Judging by Glakov’s build and size, his resistance to strikes should be good. Using fists and kicks might not guarantee a quick kill, but with a hammer, it’s certain.

The defiant Glakov ultimately died at the hands of the unwavering Gao Yi, who never exceeded three moves.

Glakov, unwilling to accept defeat, challenged Gao Yi to smash his head open—and Gao Yi truly smashed his head open.

And how fast did it happen?

To put it simply, before a group of the world’s best gunmen could even draw their weapons, everything was already over.

Invincibility isn’t bragged about—it’s proved through action.

Gao Yi, with an effortless finesse that seemed devoid of exertion, moved as swiftly as lightning, leaving the elite fighters Glakov brought along no time to react.

But this leap of Gao Yi wasn’t just for Glakov. It was also to plunge himself into the midst of the Glou experts after killing Glakov, initiating close-quarters combat.

No need to debate over the advantages of fists versus guns within or beyond three steps—it’s simple: Gao Yi is the fastest.

A group trained in combat, faced with the murderer of their leader being so close with a hammer, couldn’t possibly opt for the slower method of drawing their guns to retaliate.

You need to understand one thing: in close proximity, if a person chooses to draw their gun instead of countering in the fastest way possible, then they’re certainly not an expert.

Gao Yi sidestepped a punch, his foot silently flying upward to strike the knee of one of Glakov’s men behind him.

It looked light and effortless, lacking force—not imposing, not graceful, and certainly not aesthetically pleasing.

Just swift, simple, direct.

These were all basic and straightforward moves, yet their lethality was absolute.

One kick landed, bones broke immediately.

As the man staggered forward and backward, Gao Yi swung a plain yet brutally effective overhead strike with his hammer, shattering another man’s hand bones and causing his handgun to fall.

An expert is someone who can kill invisibly with inch force in close quarters, incomprehensible to Westerners, yet strike freely and fiercely when distances widen.

It may look like a reckless brute swinging a hammer wildly, but in reality, it’s about an expert using the shortest path to unleash the fastest strike that requires minimal strength.

Seasoned hammer-wielders know well: the greatest risk is a missed swing. The stronger the force, the more significant the momentary stiffness when swinging into empty air.

But if every hammer blow finds a body to connect with, it’s a different matter entirely. The hefty blunt weapon becomes nimble, almost alive.

With a spinning pivot, a large arc swing, and a carefree release, Gao Yi’s Octagonal Hammer flew out of his hand, transforming into a heavy projectile that smashed directly into another target’s face.

In a fraction of a second, amid transitions from close-range brawls to wide, sweeping strikes and then to ranged weapon tactics, Glakov was killed instantly alongside four out of his five subordinates.

Two remained incapacitated—one thrown by Gao Yi, the other rendered immobile by Gao Yi’s leg-breaking kick.

The only man furthest away from Gao Yi at that moment was struck by twin bullets fired from two guns—a shot to the head and another to the chest.

Dani was the fastest to open fire, quicker than anyone else. Instinctively identifying a standing target amid the chaos, he fired, with one of his bullets hitting the man’s chest.

Sith fired fractions of a second after Dani, his shot targeting the final man’s eye socket—a kill shot.

Lucy, unable to draw both pistols, managed just one, landing a shot that struck the head of the man Gao Yi had thrown across the room.

Yuri, after bracing himself on a table and leaning downward, drew his gun and shot the man Gao Yi had kicked to the floor, hitting him squarely in the nose.

Xinfeng alone didn’t fire. He had been struck by a chair thrown recklessly by Krackov.

Xinfeng clutched his stomach in agony, twisting painfully on the floor—he was the only one from the Garden faction to suffer injury.

Make no mistake, Glakov was no easy opponent—his strength was extraordinary, his reactions unparalleled, and his timing impeccable. If he hadn’t misjudged Gao Yi’s ability, he truly had grounds to look down on anyone.

But there was no room for argument; Gao Yi was simply beyond what Glakov could comprehend.

Glakov perished in an instant, his five-man team wiped out in equally swift fashion under Gao Yi’s merciless assault. It was an utter collapse—a situation that elsewhere might have seen Gao Yi taking on a hundred opponents single-handedly, yet here, facing him, they crumbled in seconds.

However, the fight wasn’t over—it was only just beginning.

"Hold your ground!"

Gao Yi shouted, foregoing retrieving his thrown hammer to crouch down and grab one of the pistols from a corpse’s hand.

"Scatter!"

Sith roared, swiftly aiming his pistol toward the restaurant entrance as he bent low and shifted horizontally behind one of the square columns inside for cover.

Lucy, holding dual pistols, aimed towards the restaurant doors. As someone attempted to push through the main entrance, she instantly opened fire, letting off four shots that forced them back outside.

Gao Yi’s shooting skills were the weakest; he grabbed up one pistol while dragging the writhing Xinfeng towards the piano in the restaurant for cover.

At this moment, spreading out was essential—grouping together would be suicidal.

Yuri aimed his gun at the ceiling and fired three consecutive shots, then shouted, "Get out! Everyone out! Or I’ll kill you!"

The panicked guests and staff fled towards the restaurant entrance.

Someone attempted once again to enter, but the rushing crowd inadvertently pushed them back outside.

This was precisely why Gao Yi had called Dani and the others inside—not to increase the audience, not to show off his abilities, but to use the restaurant as cover and avoid being instantly annihilated by the numerically and tactically superior Glou.

Now, even though those outside knew there was fighting happening inside, they had no idea what had just transpired—especially considering how quickly Glakov had died. Even if he had a radio, he wouldn’t have had time to give orders.

By the time those outside realized something was wrong, the fleeing diners and staff would still buy them precious moments of chaos.

Gao Yi kept his eyes on the restaurant’s main door, while Yuri observed several servers fleeing in unison from the kitchen. Upon seeing them all dash towards one direction, he muttered quietly, "This way."

If anyone encounters a shooting in a restaurant in the future, remember this: don’t follow the customers’ panic—follow the staff; your survival odds will be higher.

Yuri moved to follow them; Gao Yi dragged Xinfeng in pursuit. Lucy, Dani, and Sith each took strategic positions, with Dani and Sith guarding the restaurant’s main entrance, Lucy patrolling the many windows with her pistols.

Gao Yi and Yuri focused on areas Lucy couldn’t cover.

In this ongoing battle, skills immediately distinguished themselves.

No one present was a novice; these were seasoned veterans, each used to opening fire in public and escaping thereafter like hardened outlaws.

Only Xinfeng was unlucky—he simply couldn’t evade the wide-reaching chair thrown his way.

"Falke..."

Xinfeng groaned in pain, clutching his stomach where the chair leg had struck—a spot with minimal surface area and maximum impact.

Xinfeng vomited as Gao Yi dragged him across the floor by his arm.

First, the sharp pain; then uncontrollable nausea. Xinfeng wasn’t dying, but he was ready to break down.

Suddenly, Lucy brought both arms together, firing at a window right when someone outside with a rifle started targeting the column where Sith was hiding.

Both sides aimed for different targets. However, whatever the case may be, a handgun simply cannot match a rifle—but the advantage was that Gao Yi’s team had the initiative and terrain to leverage at this moment.

Two enemies outside raised their rifles to fire into the restaurant. Lucy hit one but failed to kill, while Yuri, firing through the glass, hit another target with two shots—also failing to kill.

While Sith continued keeping the entrance sealed off, he was helpless against attacks from behind. Unsurprisingly, he was hit in the lower back by bullets from the rifle.

In situations like these, additional skills are worthless—it’s all about sheer guts and brute force in an indoor fight.

Thankfully, Lucy and Yuri’s timely shots disrupted the enemy from firing freely, even if they couldn’t stop their first shots.

It’s do or die.

The Glou were not ordinary fighters. Forget their skills—their fighting spirit was indisputable, making them elite adversaries. When forced to choose between death and retreat, they chose neither.

Instead, they endured hits, surviving long enough to create openings for their teammates.

Charging ahead and firing, hitting their targets, they then sacrificed themselves only to fall under the guns of equally elite opponents.

Some fired from the windows, while others forced their way through the crowd fleeing out the entrance. At that moment, Sith, having been shot, toppled sideways to avoid further exposure.

But Dani, that fat bastard, finally showed his worth. A single bullet fired from his handgun met the rifle-wielding enemy trying to storm the door before firing, hitting them squarely between the eyes.

Here, it wasn’t the act of securing the entrance that was impressive—it was specifically about sealing off the elite Glou fighters.

After rolling on the ground following his injury, Sith crawled to the piano where Gao Yi had momentarily taken cover. Squatting low, he murmured, "Hit."

Dani sniffed, then shuffled his overly hefty rear three meters to hide behind another nearby table while still squatting.

Dragging Xinfeng along, Gao Yi halted his movement to aim his pistol at the window.

Yuri raised one hand towards Gao Yi, signaling him not to move yet.

Now, in the entire restaurant, only one person remained standing.

Lucy proudly stood her ground, dual pistols in hand.

Hide?

Impossible.

Gao Yi urgently shouted, "Berserker, get down, lie flat!"

Calling out to Lucy, Gao Yi immediately turned to Yuri and asked, "You said the Internal Guard Force here reacts quickly—how soon can they get here?"

With this place so close to Red Square and the Kremlin Palace, all Gao Yi needed to do was wait for the units guarding the Kremlin to arrive.

That was Gao Yi’s fundamental logic for bringing everyone inside.

Yuri whispered back, "At most, three minutes. Three minutes!"
