Chapter 445: Chapter 425: Expression

"Big Brother, the three targets in Paris and London have been dealt with, I personally led the team. Rest assured, it’s been done cleanly!"

Gao Yi made a call to Shaman, he didn’t say he did it himself, just that he personally led the team. Next, he also had to assure Shaman there wouldn’t be any aftermath to worry about.

Suspicion was inevitable since only Shaman had the motive to kill these people, but evidence would definitely be untraceable because the hits were carried out by professionals from the UK and France.

Everyone knows it was Shaman’s doing, but there’s just no evidence.

Shaman was first surprised by Gao Yi’s efficiency.

"So fast?"

Just yesterday, Shaman had given Gao Yi the assassination list, and by this morning, three names had already been crossed off. This pace was something most people wouldn’t dare imagine.

Shaman still had his headaches, as the United States had only just started contacting him and had not yet taken a definitive stance. His problems were far from over, but Gao Yi’s swift actions were a significant relief for Shaman’s burden.

The main strategy was to seize the opportunity to eliminate dissidents, decisively and physically remove anyone who posed a threat, with a kill rather than miss approach.

Shaman, upon hearing the good news, was quite pleased and said excitedly: "You’ve paved the way for me; this helps me a lot. I’m going to deal with some matters now. Keep going on your end and contact me if there’s anything you need."

As much as he was pleased, it was clear Shaman didn’t have the time for a long chat with Gao Yi.

After hanging up, Gao Yi said to Green: "That’s settled."

There were only Green and Kir in the room.

To establish a strategic partnership, it’s necessary to show some real strengths and not to hold back.

Gao Yi’s relationship with Shaman was also part of his strength. He let Kir witness how Gao Yi and Shaman could casually and simply make a call to each other, and that was the best proof.

If Gao Yi had talked too much, it would come across as unfamiliar instead. A casual, friend-like conversation of this sort, where they could discuss important matters directly, highlighted the depth of the relationship between Gao Yi and Shaman.

Kir’s worries were more than halved by what he saw.

After all, he had only heard about Gao Yi’s prowess from Green, but seeing it firsthand was a different experience.

Green asked Gao Yi very seriously: "What do you think of Dani?"

What do I think?

That question caught Gao Yi off guard.

To say Dani was not impressive would be a lie; his astonishing shot had startled Gao Yi. But to say Dani was impressive, the spectacle of his trousers splitting when he took action made it difficult to seriously consider Dani as formidable.

Seeing Gao Yi hesitate, Green said in a low voice: "Dani is just a bit out of practice. He can lose weight, and his experience is extremely rich, his skills quite remarkable. Don’t be fooled by his current weight; he’s only put on some pounds."

Kir earnestly added: "He used to be an outstanding agent, capable of gathering intelligence, though his main role remained that of an operative. If you let him work as an assassin, he will definitely exceed your expectations."

"Then let’s keep him."

Gao Yi liked and even craved talented people, but with Dani, he felt somewhat reluctant.

Green nodded and finally said: "Next, I won’t be able to continue teaching you. According to our agreement, I’ll try to influence the Intelligence Committee. If you need... you’ll have to help me!"

Why did Green insist on Dani helping Gao Yi?

Because Military Intelligence Sixth Department wanted to turn the tables and needed Gao Yi’s assistance. And what was the most straightforward help that Gao Yi could provide?

Money!

Gao Yi didn’t have money, but he had a financial backer behind him.

To have Shaman provide funds to assist Military Intelligence Sixth Department, the question was whether he would actually be willing to spend the money.

This was called an inside-out approach.

Gao Yi nodded, saying without hesitation: "No problem, just tell me whatever you need help with, I’ll definitely assist."

Green smiled, but at that moment, Kir suddenly asked: "Actually, I just want to ask one question. I know I shouldn’t, but it’s quite important... how did you two meet?"

Asking how they met was essentially probing how they got connected because, by all accounts, Gao Yi shouldn’t have any possibility of association with Green, especially not such a close one.

Kir shouldn’t have asked this question, and Gao Yi didn’t know how to respond, but that was something for Green to address.

Without hesitation, Green answered: "He’s the Gardener of the Garden."

His answer was crisp and clear.

But Kir didn’t look shocked, as if he had anticipated this response.

Green got up to open the door, and then he said to Dani, who was waiting outside: "Come in for a moment."

Dani walked into the room with an air of arrogance and casually closed the door behind him.

Dani had changed his trousers; he was now wearing a sporty outfit picked up from any Emporio Armani store, clothes that finally fit but didn’t quite match his demeanor.

Now, Dani looked like a slightly chubbier version of Sammo Hung, not quite as heavy as Ricky Hui, but a size larger than Sammo and, in terms of agility, a couple of notches below him.

Not every overweight person can be as agile as Sammo Hung, after all.

Dani didn’t want to feel like a product up for sale, and when he walked in, his face still had a look of disdain.

Green pointed to Gao Yi, saying very seriously, "This is Gardener, the Gardener of the Garden."

Dani’s face immediately showed an expression of shock; the wild and disdainful look on his face vanished in an instant, and then he quickly said, "The Garden? Excellent!"

It wasn’t clear what Dani’s perception of the Garden was, that the mere mention of the name could cause such an abrupt change in his attitude.

But at that moment, Gao Yi was not interested in dwelling on this; out of respect for Green and Kir, and considering the strong push from Military Intelligence Sixth Department, he indifferently said to Dani, "If you’re willing, your codename will be... "

"Rose! It must be Rose!"

Green was very determined on the side; it was clear that he cared a lot about this codename.

"Alright, you are Rose."

Dani happily accepted the codename, smiling and saying, "Great, thank you."

Green let out a sigh of relief; he looked at Dani and then at Gao Yi, and after pondering for a moment, he whispered, "I won’t be able to teach you much more in the future. If you want to learn something, you can totally ask Dani. He’s only overweight, but he’s not stupid. He knows everything a spy should know."

Gao Yi nodded, then he walked to the door and called out loudly, "Luca."

It’s not appropriate to call Luca "Iron Rooster" in front of too many people.

Luca arrived; he knew what Gao Yi was about to do, so he started to open his bag, take out his card, and prepare to pay as he came over.

Gao Yi held up a finger.

Luca sighed internally, but still prepared to pull out a ten-million-dollar card, yet at that moment, Gao Yi directly said, "This is Dani, his codename is now Rose, give Rose one million dollars in spending money first."

One million?

Even Gao Yi made distinctions in how he treated people?

Surprised in his heart, Luca could hardly suggest to Gao Yi to give more, so he drew out a bank card without any hesitation and handed it to Dani with both hands.

Dani said with astonishment, "You just give out one million dollars upon arrival?"

The US Dollar hasn’t depreciated; it’s just that in Gao Yi’s place, one million seems a very small sum, simply because Gao Yi is too wealthy now.

But to Dani, of course, one million was a huge fortune, enough to make his head spin.

Pity that Green knew how much Sith had received.

Green sighed inwardly, but he couldn’t tell Dani that Sith had received ten million.

Gao Yi’s gesture made one thing clear; he was dissatisfied with Dani, didn’t think highly of him, and only took him under his wing because of Green’s face.

At this moment, Green whispered, "Good, now we are all one of us, um, Gao, I have a gift for you."

Gao Yi looked at Green, then he saw Green extend his left hand and undo the strap of his watch with the right.

A large digital watch, Green always wore it on his wrist.

"What for?"

Green took off his watch and then with both sentimentality and seriousness said, "This watch was made in 1982; though it’s quite old, it still keeps time very precisely."

Gao Yi said in astonishment, "Then you should keep it even more, why give it to me?"

"This watch is a masterpiece of a Swiss watchmaker, manually winding, mechanical energy storage for forty-eight hours."

Who still wears a hand-wound watch these days? Electronic watches are not classy, but aren’t those automatic mechanical watches worth tens or hundreds of thousands more attractive?

Gao Yi must refuse this watch, but at this moment, Green twisted a button on the digital watch and said, "I’ll teach you how to use it, this button, twist and pull it out, is one meter of high polymer fiber with diamond sand particles on it, can be used like a knife, you can use this thread to cut someone’s neck."

Oh ho, this watch really contains hidden features.

After pressing another button, and then twisting and pulling, out came a spike less than thirty millimeters in length.

Green continued, "This is a hollow poisoned needle blade, good for either killing someone or committing suicide."

There are five buttons on the digital watch in total; Green pressed the third one, and out came a very thin steel wire.

"Universal Key, as long as you know how to use it, it can open most locks; of course, it mainly relies on skill."

This watch is rather interesting; it really looks like something 007 would use.

"The watchband is also hollow. Open the buckle, and you’ll find ultra-fine steel wire with diamond sand embedded inside. Be careful to not overheat due to speed when using it; it can cut through a two-centimeter thick steel bar, and afterward, the diamond sand particles will be consumed, but it’s still useful."

Gao Yi couldn’t help but reach out to catch the watch, then curiously asked, "What about the remaining buttons, what do they do?"

Green twitched the corner of his mouth, then with resignation said, "The functions that a digital watch should have, waterproof, can be used underwater."

The watch was quite heavy, feeling substantial in his hand.

Holding the watch, Gao Yi said in a low voice, "I really shouldn’t accept this."

Green withdrew his hand, touched his face, and said, "Keep it as a keepsake, um, don’t lose it."
