"I was able to find this place because the man undergoing urgent medical care inside is from the CIA," Gao Yi said calmly. "He has already confirmed your identity and planned to take you out when the time was right."

Khalid’s complexion changed drastically.

Gao Yi continued in his measured tone, "He certainly won’t pose any threat to you now, and he even has to cooperate with us. But he’s just a very peripheral figure in the CIA. However, a very famous, very capable group with high clearance within the CIA is about to arrive."

Khalid spoke in a low voice, "They’re coming after you, aren’t they?"

There was no need for secrecy or pretense at this point.

Gao Yi was taken aback; he had assumed that everyone from the Underworld frequented the Dark Web. Just by mentioning ’Sky Garden,’ Khalid should have understood everything.

But Khalid said he didn’t use the Dark Web, which made things complicated.

Gao Yi sighed, saying helplessly, "Then you probably haven’t heard of ’Sky Garden’ either."

Khalid’s eyes instantly widened.

The big-bearded middle-aged man was one of Khalid’s men. He hastily bent down to pick up the grenade, but upon inspection, the pin was still in place—it hadn’t been pulled. Feng Biao gave Lucy and Li Jie a meaningful glance, and just like that, as if nothing had happened, they all holstered their weapons.

"Sky Garden, you mean that Sky Garden?"

Khalid’s face was a picture of shock as he trembled, "How can it be, how can Sky Garden be an Easterner?"

Gao Yi tilted his head slightly, curious, "Oh, I thought you didn’t use the Dark Web?"

"Just because I don’t use the Dark Web doesn’t mean I can’t hear about Sky Garden."

Gao Yi frowned, because the information Khalid had heard was all correct, and the killing of Naaoi was something that shouldn’t have spread.

"No."

Gao Yi looked at Khalid again and asked, "Now that you know who I am, are you still interested in cooperating with me?"

Khalid appeared conflicted, glancing at his subordinate who had dropped the grenade. After hesitating, he said, "So, you don’t belong to any nation’s power, and you’re just an assassin organization?"

"You could say that."

"Perfect, I’d certainly like to cooperate with you."

Khalid extended both hands, eagerly and passionately shaking Gao Yi’s right hand, his voice shaking, "We don’t want to be puppets for any country. We just want to maintain our independence. That’s why Turkiye initially provided very little support, and now they don’t offer any support at all because we refuse to completely obey Turkiye’s commands. We don’t want to be Turkiye’s puppets."

After finishing, Khalid looked earnestly at Gao Yi, "You don’t belong to any nation, and yet you’ve survived under American pursuit up to now. You have experience; I am willing to cooperate with you."

Big Beard, who had dropped the hand grenade, spoke in a trembling voice. Khalid immediately reprimanded him harshly after listening.
