True Solution of the Sword Dao -
Chapter 433 - 398 Failure 1
Chapter 433: Chapter 398 Failure 1
The strongest... should have no weaknesses?
Lin Fei didn’t speak. Suddenly, he remembered Yan Shi.
This once strongest swordsman had already examined some of the Flying Swallow Clan’s confidential documents. He had also gained some understanding of the great battle that had happened. Now, reflecting on it, he indeed felt moved.
He walked around the school with Shuang’er, listening to her sporadically talk about life and development in Tianjing. After eating something in the cafeteria, Lin Fei had to consider Shuang’er’s lodging situation.
It wasn’t a solution to keep her staying in a hotel. After the meal, he made a call to Dong Yaofei to look for a sizable and good-quality house for sale around Yan Capital University. Preferably a well-decorated second-hand house.
Lin Fei naturally didn’t want to spend time waiting for a house to be decorated. A house that was ready to move into after someone had lived in it for a while was the best. Such real estate transactions were fast, the property deeds were generally complete, and any issues with the house would be well known from prior use. That would make it more comfortable to live in.
While talking to Dong Yaofei on the phone, they walked towards the school exit.
Lin Fei had only mentioned it briefly when Dong Yaofei immediately pointed out a house to him, saying he’d have someone bring over the keys right away. As for the money, Dong Yaofei didn’t even bring it up,
"It’s just a house, right? Consider it a token of a pupil’s gratitude!" That was Dong Yaofei’s exact phrase.
Lin Fei hung up the phone and walked with Shuang’er to the school gate.
As they reached the gate, they saw a silver Aston Martin sports car parked there. Driving such a multi-million-dollar car in the city was clearly a waste of resources.
The driver in the car seemed to notice Lin Fei as well. With a click, he pushed open the car door and a short-haired young man with black sunglasses came out. The man walked briskly over, extending his hand from a distance.
"Hello, are you Mr. Lin Fei? I’ve come specifically to deliver the car and house keys," the man said, maintaining a very careful, respectful distance.
They shook hands.
"Car keys?" Lin Fei frowned, "What’s that kid Dong Yaofei up to?" He didn’t recall the guy saying anything about giving him a car, especially not a top-level sports car that cost millions.
"This car is for your commuting. These are Dong brother’s exact words," the man said, becoming more respectful upon hearing Lin Fei mention Dong Yaofei. "The car is brand new, just taken out. It’s been fueled up. Don’t worry. All the registration documents are in order."
Lin Fei nodded silently, accepting the bunch of keys. There was an electronic key for the car and two for the house, with an electronic card hanging underneath the house keys.
It saved him the trouble of having to buy a car himself, which would have been another hassle.
His influence hadn’t extended to Kyoto City yet. The Swordsmanship Club was just gathering members, getting ready to establish a branch here. This newly established branch might even become the headquarters in the near future. So the entire club had to be fully prepared.
Before the Swordsmanship Club could extend its reach, he naturally had no manpower to use at his will.
A top-level sports car worth millions parked at the school entrance starkly contrasted with the few ordinary sedans nearby. Even a newly arrived Mercedes seemed dull in comparison. After all, not all Mercedes are created equal.
After handing over the keys, the man took a taxi and left. Efficient and unhesitant.
Occasionally, some university students would slow down and stop to admire the car. Although such top-level cars weren’t rare at Yan Capital University, its sleek design still drew attention.
In broad daylight like this, at the school gate, Lin Fei didn’t dare to just get in the car and drive away. It would draw too much unnecessary attention.
The house, however, was not far from the school.
Lin Fei bought Shuang’er a chocolate ice cream and then led her down a couple of streets to a garden community on the side of the road.
The community was gated, with an electronic lock at the main entrance that required a card swipe to open the door. Inside it was very quiet, with well-kept greenery and complete public facilities, including a small plaza, a shopping street, a bank, a community hospital, and more, making it ideal for living.
Following the small paths in the community, they reached a building near the plaza based on the number on the keys. The houses here were sparsely populated, and each building was villa-style, home to only one family, each with three floors and a small garden. It was clear from a glance that they were pricey, at least five or six million each.
Just standing outside looking at the cream-colored villa-style building felt comfortable.
Although Yan Capital University wasn’t located in the center of Kyoto City, building a mid-range community here would definitely cost more than in the suburbs. As Lin Fei entered the house, he estimated that this house must be even more expensive, probably not obtainable for less than seven or eight million.
Seven or eight million, in this era, is a large sum of money. The personal funds Lin Fei had just transferred from the Yan Lin Group were only about that much, equivalent to his monthly allocation from the group.
After touring the house, with all the decoration done and furniture, TV, computer all in place, and even a faint scent of aromatherapy in the air, it was obvious that this house might have been lived in by Dong Yaofei previously.
Lin Fei saw the property deed and other documents placed on the coffee table in the living room on the first floor. Flipping through them, the name on them was actually his.
"This kid," Lin Fei shook his head, realizing Dong Yaofei must have prepared this long in advance, otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for the property deed to be ready right after he asked for it.
As soon as Shuang’er entered, she threw herself on the couch and rolled around, laughing nonstop. She only acted like this in front of Lin Fei.
"From now on, this will be our residence in Kyoto," Lin Fei tossed a set of the house keys to her.
Shuang’er caught the keys.
"Oh, brother, I brought some people from Tianjing with me. Do you want to meet them?" she asked.
"Your people from Tianjing?" Lin Fei chuckled, "Forget it. Isn’t your little organization currently under attack by another Dream Eater organization? You still dare to bring people back? Do you need help from your brother?"
"No," Shuang’er shook her head, "I want to deal with them on my own."
Lin Fei stopped talking, lying back on the couch.
He felt a great amount of True Force coming through the air, which was then compressed into True Qi inside his body, as he examined other conditions within himself.
He needed to adjust his state to the best possible before he could start reviving the mighty ones within the Sword Canon.
There were now three forces within his body.
True Force and True Qi, demonic power, and the naturally generated potential energy.
Among them, potential energy was the weakest, at only B grade, while demonic power and True Force were on par, buffered and harmonized by the component of a Divine Artifact in between.
Lin Fei could clearly feel that the Divine Artifact earring was floating right in the center of his chest, just above the core of his power. Then, as if centered on it, his left side was dominated by True Qi and True Force, while his right was claimed by demonic power. Both were bisected by a vertical line emitted by the Divine Artifact.
The True Force was constantly increasing, with hundreds of sources supplying more of it every moment, intermittently.
The demonic power seemed to originate from a grey-white stone in his chest, with threads of energy continuously flowing into him from the stone.
Even the rate of increase was barely on a par for both powers.
And potential energy could only be compressed within the core of power, utterly unable to emerge.
Lin Fei recalled that during his last partial Demonization, it was probably for this reason.
Having reached this stage, the final layer of the Qi Cultivation section, he couldn’t cultivate any further. The meridians and blood vessels needed for True Force were completely split in half. And the Qi Cultivation section was created based on the foundation of True Force.
Lin Fei tried to control the circulation of the mixed demonic power, but unfortunately, the True Qi mixed with demonic power passed through the fourth and fifth layers of the Qi Cultivation section without any obstacle, effortlessly but also without any effect.
"The Qi Cultivation section can no longer be cultivated. But its purpose was originally to lay the foundation for practicing the Sword Dao True Solution. My Demonized body may not necessarily be worse than the perfect body cultivated through the Qi Cultivation section," Lin Fei recalled the preface he saw when he first got the Sword Canon.
The gist of it was: the Sword Canon wasn’t originally existent; it was just a record of three sword shadows of unknown origin. It was only after subsequent mighty ones pondered and comprehended that the so-called Sword Canon Space was established. In other words, the true content of the Sword Dao True Solution were those three sword shadows.
And in the messages left by some of the mighty ones in the Sword Canon, it was also mentioned that one could bypass the Sword Canon and directly comprehend the three sword shadows, each representing the highest realm of every layer of the Sword Canon. After all, the Sword Canon was originally many annotations made by mighty ones for the three sword shadows. Only later was it transformed into a legacy Holy Artifact by the Royal Court.
A rough idea passed through Lin Fei’s mind as he pondered the messages he had seen in the Sword Canon.
"Since the Qi Cultivation section is just for laying the foundation, it doesn’t matter if I can’t cultivate it. I’ll just move forward according to the Sword Canon’s requirements." Direct observation of the three sword shadows was impossible; with his current understanding, he hadn’t the slightest idea of how to bypass the Sword Canon.
Advancement in the Sword Canon depended on the Cultivation Level of the Sword Master. To be exact, it was determined by the Sword Master’s Realm. Lin Fei had now reached the entrance level of Sword Intent. Although Cultivation Level needed time to accumulate, his Realm had already surpassed most Sword Cultivators in the True Qi Realm.
The advancement of the Star Shattering Sword Technique at the Planet Level was slow because there was simply not enough True Qi. And the only way to really step into the Planet Level was to accumulate True Qi.
The increase of True Qi could come from slowly cultivating and accumulating with True Force seeds, or by using rare and precious materials from heaven and earth. Some Top Level Heavenly and Earthly materials could quickly increase one’s True Qi Cultivation Level. And in this world, such things could sometimes be replaced with high-energy materials. For instance, Energy Stones...
A vague and rough plan formed in Lin Fei’s mind.
"However, I’ve never heard of using Energy Stones to permanently raise the upper limit of one’s Cultivation Level. Usually, they are said to restore energy. There will definitely be obstacles. It seems that careful investigation is necessary."
Lin Fei finally completely adjusted his condition.
"Shuang’er, I need to step out for a bit, you should get some good sleep," he said indifferently.
"Oh...." Shuang’er was engrossed in a magazine she had flipped open from who knows where, and she responded nonchalantly.
Lin Fei slowly turned into a shadow and disappeared from the sofa.

Sword Canon Space
A gentle breeze wafted, and the sunshine was splendid.
On the green, lush grass, Lin Fei’s fingertips lightly touched the selection page of the Sword Canon.
"Selection successful. Way of the Sword Intent, trial combat begins." The prompt of the Sword Canon sounded again.
On the grass, Lin Fei extended his hand, and countless wisps of black smoke condensed, with the Black Demon Sword materializing in his grasp. After several battles, the Black Demon Sword was actually riddled with scars, on the verge of collapse. Fortunately, Lin Fei was now capable of using the Sword Imbuing Technique. With True Qi at his disposal, he could gestate a Longsword that was most suitable for his core, only needing the materials.
Across the grass, some ten meters away, a vague shadow gradually took form.
"Opponent: Ning Que, Star Lord."
The shadow gradually became clear, a handsome middle-aged man standing silently with his hands behind his back.
"Sword Master..." A slight smile crept across his lips, and a silver pattern on his forehead faintly glowed.
Lin Fei concentrated his gaze on him, slowly drawing his sword.
The sword and sheath made a hissing sound from the friction.
"One sword," Ning Que said with a smile, extending one finger.
Humming...
Darkness suddenly enveloped the space behind him, turning into a pitch-black starry sky. Numerous planets, large and small, blue, yellow, white, purple... appeared, revolving endlessly around him.
It was as if a galaxy lay behind his back. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, welcome to Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your recommendation votes, Monthly Tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
