True Solution of the Sword Dao -
Chapter 401 - 372 The Truth Part One
Chapter 401: Chapter 372 The Truth Part One
A figure as transparent as one made of water stood silently opposite Lin Fei.
The two were only a dozen meters apart, yet countless streams of pseudo True Force circled around them incessantly.
"Who are you?!" Lin Fei asked in a deep voice, suppressing the shock and suspicion in his heart.
The Sword Dao True Solution was his greatest secret, and now to have it unexpectedly called out by an unknown existence, even someone as composed as him felt a chill. This overwhelming sensation of passivity was more than just uncomfortable.
"Who am I?" The figure moved slightly, as if laughing.
"We have been fighting with the Royal Court for countless years. I never expected that in the end, the passage would be closed. Most of the ninety-nine original masters perished, and we were forced to leave our homeland." He seemed to be reminiscing, and also seemed to sigh.
"The former Sword Master of the Sword Canon was one of you...??" Lin Fei’s heart stirred, and he hurriedly asked.
"It doesn’t matter if I tell you the truth," the figure spoke casually. "We, the original masters, have opposed the people of the Sword Canon for countless years. Although we couldn’t destroy the Sword Canon with the remnants of our own power, there were many ways we could destroy its successor, the Sword Master. Over three hundred Sword Masters from the Sword Canon have been destroyed by us thus far. It’s just that I didn’t expect..." He paused.
"I didn’t expect that you would also become an original master."
"So what?" Lin Fei vaguely sensed that something was not right. The hand holding the Black Demon Sword grew even tighter.
"Nothing. You don’t have to be afraid; my will at best only has half your strength. Countless years have passed, and most of my power has long since dissipated. This is just a residual imprint," the figure stated indifferently. "Actually, if I had seen you earlier, maybe I would have chosen you. Alas..."
"You mean..."
Lin Fei narrowed his eyes.
Suddenly, a stream of pseudo True Force beside him condensed into countless spikes.
Chi chi chi!!
Several spikes fiercely pierced into the position where Lin Fei originally stood.
With a light leap backward, Lin Fei saw the spikes on the ground suddenly crack with a snap, explosively turning into numerous fine needles.
A streak of sword light flashed instantaneously. The countless fine needles went tinkling off the Black Demon Sword.
"Goodbye, newly born original master..."
When he steadied himself again, Lin Fei could no longer see the transparent figure.
The street was empty, devoid of anything, not even the stone ground weathered by the Wind showed any damage.
He remained standing in place, utterly motionless.
"I was actually... in his Dream World the entire time..." Lin Fei’s complexion turned pale. Falling into a Dream World without any awareness naturally had severe consequences.
Chi!!
A stream of blood suddenly sprayed from Lin Fei’s heart.
"Due to the rules, I cannot directly kill you. But, I can grievously wound you, and then let other contenders finish you off..." the voice slowly grew fainter until it disappeared.
Clenching his chest tightly, Lin Fei’s face grew paler as the copious blood loss weakened him.
"We’ll see about that..." His hands immediately covered with thick pseudo True Force, ceaselessly beginning to repair the wound on his heart. The spurting of blood abruptly lessened. The wound quickly healed, but the massive blood loss made Lin Fei vaguely feel dizzy.
"Damn!! Too much blood lost..." He strove to maintain consciousness. Losing consciousness in this kind of environment was tantamount to waiting for death. Waves of fatigue continuously assaulted his brain.
Call for help?
Lin Fei shook his head. Asking for help now might mean other councilors would take the first chance to finish him off. In the golden council, each member harbored inscrutable thoughts; one could never know what the others were thinking.
The pseudo True Force continued to flow over the wound, greatly alleviating the dizziness.
But the excessive blood loss left Lin Fei feeling weak all over. His body became heavier and his strength increasingly diminished.
No sound whatsoever could be heard around.
Stumbling a bit, Lin Fei ducked into an empty shop by the side of the street.
Inside the pitch-black shop, barren glass display cases, tattered storefront windows, and some scattered clothing on the floor. But not a single person in sight, not even a corpse. An eerie silence pervaded the surroundings.
Lin Fei, leaning on a counter, slowly walked forward, the only sound his own footsteps.
Ka!
He stepped on a piece of broken glass. At his feet, a somewhat ear-piercing shattering noise followed.
"The original master... a pseudo True Force user, called the original master..." Lin Fei leaned against the back of a counter, gently waving his hand. Several invisible forces instantly erased all the blood traces he had left behind. The massive amount of blood was directly buried by numerous fragments and dust, then vanished in an instant. The leftover gaps were covered again by other debris.
Which Lin Fei directly ground into fine ash.
He lowered his head. The skin on his chest was rapidly healing at a visibly fast rate. Not a single drop of blood was flowing out anymore.
"I can’t stay here long. I must leave!"
"Heh heh..."
Chi!!
A stream of blood once again sprayed out from Lin Fei’s abdomen.
Lin Fei’s expression changed. Around him, numerous silver lines suddenly emerged.
The gently descending silver lines cut through anything they touched in an instant.
His right hand, along with the Black Demon Sword, turned into a blur.
"It’s useless..." That voice came again.
Lin Fei scoffed coldly. Instantly sheathing the sword.
The countless silver lines around him instantly extinguished.
His chest heaving intensely, it was clear that the recent exertion was significant.
Looking down at his abdomen, a diamond-shaped wound appeared right in the middle of his lower belly, with blood pooling and flowing out. The strong scent of blood filled the air.
Lin Fei’s face grew even paler. Pseudo True Force rapidly covered the area, and the wound quickly stopped bleeding.
