Chapter 243: Chapter 232: Blazing Flames 2

"Lin You," Feil suddenly said softly.

"What’s wrong?" Lin You turned her head.

"Where on earth did Xilan go? Why hasn’t he come back yet? He promised me that he would protect you," Feil said with a worried expression on his face.

"That sleazy uncle? He’s so strong, he definitely won’t have any problems," Lin You consoled.

Feil bit her lip, nodding lightly.

"I hope so."

Thud, thud, thud.

The sound of knocking suddenly arose.

"Come in," Feil said softly.

Click, the door opened.

A bombshell blonde with only a black strapless top entered.

"As your logistics officer, I need to check the body constitution of each one of you to ensure there are no hidden dangers," Merrill still wore a haughty scowl.

"Exhibitionist! Who let you into my room!" Lin You yelled from her bed.

"Tsk! Looks like you haven’t had enough trouble. Want me to make you run around naked outside?" Merrill coldly extended a finger, tiny vines slowly twining around it.

Lin You immediately fell silent. It was Merrill who controlled her body and caused her to fall from the second floor, injuring her back. If she hadn’t had her superpowers, a normal person would have been dead and off to the morgue by now.

"One day, when I surpass you..." Lin You threatened.

Merrill chuckled twice.

"Body check, starting with you. Feil, hold her down! Strip off her clothes first!" She pounced, and Lin You started to desperately struggle and resist. The two tangled into a ball, rolling back and forth on the bed.

Feil, speechless, put down the ointment in her hand, stood up, and backed away from the two.

Ten minutes later...

Merrill stood up from the bed with a lewd smile, tidying up her clothes, then smugly glanced back at the bed before striding out of the room.

Lin You was crying, hugging the blanket to her naked body.

Feil sat off to the side, face full of black lines.

"Lin You, can you not look like you’ve been violated or something?"

"You try it! It really hurts!" Lin You’s eyes brimmed with tears.

"It was just drawing some blood, wasn’t it?" Feil rolled up her sleeve, showing a small red dot. "I had mine done this morning."

"But why do I have to take off my clothes for a blood draw!" Lin You protested.

"Who told you to provoke Merrill! It’s not like you don’t know you can’t beat her," Feil said helplessly. "She has a wicked sense of humor..."

Suddenly, the door was pushed open with a bang. Merrill strode in.

Feil immediately covered her mouth: "I didn’t say anything!"

"Stop messing around!" But Merrill looked serious. "There’s a problem, a serious one!" She looked at Lin You on the bed, "Hurry up and get dressed, and come with me."

Half an hour later.

Lin You, holding Feil who had turned back into a cat, along with Merrill and Chris, arrived at a house that Merrill had bought nearby.

The spacious living room had been completely converted into something resembling a medical room, and a computer in the center was still rapidly scrolling through massive amounts of data, like a waterfall.

The three humans and the cat stood in front of the computer.

Merrill took out a test tube emitting cold vapor from the nearby fridge. Inside was a small drop of red blood.

"This is Lin You’s blood," Merrill said solemnly. "Normally, I would use my powers to test the blood directly, but this time an accident occurred. So I have to use equipment to check it again."

The other three became very somber, influenced by her demeanor.

"I’ll start by adding my energy to it," Merrill’s finger instantly turned into innumerable entwining vines, and a small green leaf detached itself from the vine, falling into the test tube.

The green and red barely touched each other before they silently merged into one, the color remaining vibrant red.

"This is!!" Feil jumped out of Lin You’s arms, exclaiming in surprise.

Chris’s expression grew even more solemn.

"It looks like we’re in trouble," Babanoya’s voice also rang out.

Lin You looked left and right; everyone had a serious face, except for her, who knew nothing.

"Can anyone tell me what’s going on here?"

"I’ll give it a try," Chris said, pulling out his knife and flicking a drop of blood from his fingertip into the test tube.

The same thing happened again.

The two drops of blood instantly merged, completely indistinguishable from one another.

"As expected," Chris murmured softly.

"We’re in trouble," Feil said, a note of worry in her voice.

"The legendary Holy Spirit’s Blood! I didn’t expect it to appear in Lin You," Merrill said gravely.

"Holy Spirit’s Blood?" Lin You was stunned. "What’s that?"

"To put it simply, your blood is the only substance in the world with the highest chance of merging the Five Great Energy Scepters. This means that you are the most likely person to merge the Five Great Scepters and inherit the ultimate Strength," Merrill said gravely.

"But... isn’t that a good thing?" Lin You asked blankly.

"The problem is, anyone can accept the merging power of the Five Scepters with your blood," Feil said helplessly. "In other words, if your blood is drained and gathered with the Five Great Scepters, anyone could obtain the power of the Scepter, said to be the ultimate Strength."

"Does it have to be all my blood?" Lin You asked quietly.

"It might not be enough, but the more blood, the higher the chance of success, think about it yourself," Merrill said seriously.

"No wonder you’ve mastered the Second Stage Transformation so quickly," Babanoya muttered from within the bracelet.

"So... what do we do now?" Lin You’s face turned pale as she grasped the gravity of the situation. Wasn’t this just another version of the coveted ’monk’s flesh’?
