True Solution of the Sword Dao -
Chapter 204 - 197 Gentle One
Chapter 204: Chapter 197 Gentle One
The Star Shattering Sword Art, the introduction says, comes from a Sword Sect named Stellar Domain, not the Stellar Sword Sect, but simply Stellar Domain. Simple yet with extremely high aspirations. Regrettably, being included in the Sword Dao True Solution implies that this Sword technique also met with the same fate of annihilation, with its remnants recorded here.
Having just made the selection, the giant page before me suddenly vanished, and my surroundings were abruptly dyed in white, indicating that I had returned to the Trial Space.
Across the white field stood a beautiful woman dressed in blue gauze, resembling the ancient attire of Hua Nation, holding a sword in quiet vigil. Her long hair was placed over her right shoulder in a bundle. Her face was indifferent.
"Stellar Domain’s Ye Yuhua, don’t waste time, just concede," the woman said indifferently.
"Concede?" Lin Fei was taken aback.
"Do you dare to resist even upon hearing the name of my Stellar Domain?" The woman’s beautiful eyebrows arched impatiently.
Lin Fei couldn’t help but laugh wryly; so Stellar Domain was one of those sects with an exceedingly arrogant air about them.
But he was too lazy to engage in pointless banter with this woman. With a light flick of the Black Demon Sword, his figure suddenly disappeared.
The woman who claimed to be Ye Yuhua’s face changed slightly, but she remained composed, raising her hand gracefully as the longsword with a hiss lit up with a dazzling starlight in front of her, nearly blinding to behold.
"Starshine!" Ye Yuhua exclaimed softly. The starlight in front of her surged wildly, its brightness reaching the peak and then abruptly going out.
Clang!
Lin Fei’s figure suddenly emerged not far away, retreating over ten steps in succession. His sword-hand transformed into a blur of phantoms, and sounds of impact erupted incessantly in front of him, mixed with sparks. It was as if invisible weapons were attacking him relentlessly.
"Compared to the Siyue Sword Sect’s Heavenly Net Bright Moon Sword, this swordsmanship is far inferior in everything but its ability to concentrate power," Lin Fei said lightly, his voice unobscured to Ye Yuhua’s ears.
"Siyue Sword Sect? What’s that! My Stellar Domain has dominated the Primordial Domain for countless years and has destroyed tens of thousands of Sword Sects. How dare a minor sect compare with me?" Ye Yuhua said disdainfully. Around the body of her longsword, countless flecks of starlight suddenly appeared.
"Die!" Ye Yuhua cried out softly, charging fiercely toward Lin Fei. Her longsword absorbed countless starlights surrounding her, concentrating them at the tip to form a point of starlight piercing straight at Lin Fei.
Lin Fei’s eyes were calm, his figure became a blur. Suddenly, a massive phantom of a Divine Beast appeared behind him. Just as he was about to dodge, he was suddenly enveloped by a bizarre and potent attraction, binding him tightly.
"Is this the greatest secret of the Star Shattering Sword Art?" Lin Fei understood in his heart. He tried several times at high speed to break free from this binding force, but it was to no avail. Ye Yuhua, with a cold smile on her face, came at him directly, the starlight at her sword tip growing ever more radiant.
Lin Fei’s eyes also emitted a faint blue fluorescence, and the Black Demon Sword suddenly ignited with a Blue Flame, transforming into a spectral figure, charging straight at Ye Yuhua.
Crack!
The Black Demon Sword broke in half like a wooden stick, scattering blue flames everywhere. Ye Yuhua’s sword tip, undispersed in its concentration of starlight, went straight into Lin Fei’s chest.
Inside the Sword Room
Exiting the space, Lin Fei was still reflecting on that strange encounter.
"That bizarre pulling force, after trying several times, no matter from which angle I struck with my sword, I could only meet her tip. That last strike was essentially her forcing me into a direct confrontation. This swordsmanship is indeed extraordinary."
*************
In the following days, Lin Fei immersed himself within the space, continuously trying to unravel the secret of that sword move. Regrettably, because there was no True Force fluctuation, he found it difficult to grasp the essence of the Star Shattering Sword Art from that brief contact. Moreover, after several attempts to defeat his opponent Ye Yuhua, all ended in defeat; once she unleashed that move of concentrating stars on the sword tip, as soon as he got within a certain range, he would involuntarily be drawn in to clash head-on, completely unable to break free. Lin Fei had originally planned to let Yuan Yicheng have a try, but to Yuan Yicheng, both Ye Yuhua and himself were like phantoms, invisible to each other. In the end, he had to cope alone, with Yuan Yicheng providing reference suggestions.
On the other hand, life outside was busy, the results of the college entrance examination were completely publicized.
Lin Fei unsurprisingly became the top student in his school, city, and second in the province. Hence, a troubling situation arose.
Neighbors who seldom interacted started visiting. His mother’s colleagues came asking for advice. His father’s friends brought their children over to inquire about study tips.
After a few days, the entire family was left somewhat fatigued.
Additionally, as previously mentioned, Lin Jianguo’s cousin had arrived in Ping City. Lin Jianguo had once promised his cousin to arrange a job for his son and naturally wouldn’t go back on his word.
On the fifth day after the publication of the college entrance exam results, the family got up extra early.
Lin Jianguo, wearing an overcoat, was giving Lin You and Jiang Nan their vaccinations. "Today Zhang Sihan will visit. He’s older than both of you, so be polite and call him Brother Sihan, got it?"
Lin You pursed his lips, noncommittal. Jiang Nan, however, nodded obediently.
Lin Fei said helplessly, "Dad, I don’t need to, right? He and I are not too far apart in age. Just a year or two at most."
"Right, you’re exempt," Lin Jianguo nodded and continued, "Chen Jingde and his daughter are also coming over, remember Chen Yuanyuan? The one I took you to visit before?"
After a moment of recollection, Lin Fei indeed remembered. That time, he went for a late-night snack with Chen Yuanyuan; they encountered some troublemakers and dispersed. He also met some of Chen Yuanyuan’s friends. Back then, he had just gained strength and was somewhat impulsive.
"I remember."
"She’s also coming, and this time Chen Jingde really is sincerely coming over to ask for your advice. He said he wants you to tutor Chen Yuanyuan during the holiday. What do you think?" Lin Jianguo asked. Now, Lin Fei’s status at home had instantly surpassed that of Lin You, reaching the top, with a level of importance surpassing even the previous attention given to Lin You. Thus, whenever there was something to be decided, the parents would politely seek Lin Fei’s opinion. After all, both of them were intellectuals and knew how terrifying it was to be aiming for a score of over 700 points.
"Tutoring?" Lin Fei was startled, but soon saw Lin You and Jiang Nan beside him looking expectantly at him. "That’s not a problem." He was currently fully engaged in contemplating and analyzing the Star Shattering Sword Art, and he knew that there wouldn’t be significant progress for a while, so he was spending most of his time on self-practicing the Second Layer. As expected, the Second Layer was about increasing strength, with nine diagrams in total, and he had gotten stuck on the very first one. After several days, it was still rather blurry, and he couldn’t even reach the point of visualization. Lin Fei knew it was due to the insufficient quality of his True Force, so he wasn’t in a hurry and was slowly absorbing the True Force gemstones that he hadn’t fully absorbed yet. It would probably take about half a month for those gemstones to be fully absorbed. By then, he estimated he could meet the requirements for visualization.
In the meantime, actually, it wouldn’t impact him to do something else. He could completely multitask now.
"Since it’s about tutoring, why don’t Nannan and Xiao You join as well? Whether it’s one or three, it will all take the same amount of time," Lin Fei suggested with a smile.
Lin Jianguo immediately nodded and agreed, "Of course, that would be even better. As their older brother, both of your sisters’ grades are relying on you."
Lin You opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but seemed to think of something and immediately held back, adopting a look of resignation to your arrangements.
Jiang Nan was quite happy to express her thanks to Lin Fei.
"So when are they coming?" Lin Fei asked.
"Around one o’clock, at noon. It’s about twelve now; they should be arriving soon," Lin Jianguo checked his watch.
Lin Fei nodded.
"But, I’ve been feeling that, Xiaofei, you are starting to look more and more like your sister," Lin Jianguo suddenly expressed his confusion.
Lin Fei touched his face.
"Really?"
"Yes," Jiang Nan said with a smile, "Feifei is getting more and more beautiful."
"Handsome would be the correct word," Lin Fei said helplessly.
Just as he spoke, Jiang Feng called out from the kitchen that dinner was ready.
It was rare for the family to sit together and finish a meal. Jiang Nan helped Jiang Feng wash the dishes. Right then, a knock at the door sounded.
Lin You, who was closest, quickly got up from the sofa and went to open the door.
Standing at the door was a tall, young man dressed in a tight black tank top that revealed his muscular arms. He had a crew cut and a piece of gauze wrapped around the left side of his face. His features were fairly regular, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, giving off a very honest appearance.
"Excuse me, is this Mr. Lin Jianguo’s home?" The young man, upon seeing Lin You, dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, couldn’t stare directly for a moment and moved his gaze away with a blush, speaking softly.
"Are you Zhang Sihan?" Lin You asked with a smile, then turned his head and shouted into the house, "Dad, Sihan is here."
Lin Jianguo and Jiang Feng quickly came over.
"Sihan is here? Come on in," Lin Jianguo said as he pulled Zhang Sihan into the room, ready to close the door. But then, they heard footsteps ascending the stairs.
Right at that moment, Chen Jingde and his daughter Chen Yuanyuan arrived.
"Old Lin! We’re intruding today," Chen Jingde, with his usual hearty disposition, had just poked his head out on the staircase and began calling out loudly.
"Welcome, welcome!" Lin Jianguo laughed heartily as he opened the door wide.
Chen Jingde and his daughter entered the living room. Unlike her father Chen Jingde, Chen Yuanyuan’s gaze immediately sought out Lin Fei upon entering. However, upon seeing Lin Fei now, she didn’t recognize him at first, but quickly realized from the familiar contours that this pretty long-haired young man was indeed Lin Fei.
Zhang Sihan and Chen Jingde with his daughter all sat down on the sofa, while Jiang Feng and Jiang Nan brought over hot tea, fruit, and candies.
After introducing the younger generation, they inquired about each other’s recent circumstances.
Chen Jingde was the first to speak.
"Old Lin, this time I really had no choice but to come over," Chen Jingde said earnestly. "You know about Yuanyuan’s situation, don’t you?"
Lin Jianguo replied reassuringly, "You don’t need to worry, Yuanyuan is a very smart child, it’s just that her heart isn’t focused on studying."
"You can skip these niceties for me, today I came specifically for your son Lin Fei," Chen Jingde cut straight to the chase. "Feifei, can you give Yuanyuan a hand?" he asked, turning his head towards Lin Fei, his approach showing his usual directness but with an earnest expression on his face.
Lin Fei smiled and said, "Of course, there’s no problem. Dad already mentioned it to me. I was planning to tutor Yuanyuan together with my two sisters."
"That’s even better," Chen Jingde’s face showed obvious joy. He had been worried that Lin Fei might have only agreed superficially and not voluntarily, in which case it wouldn’t be effective. After all, Yuanyuan and Lin Fei weren’t very close. But now that Lin Fei was going to tutor his own sisters and cousin all at once, there was no way he would do it half-heartedly.
"With your help, there definitely won’t be any problems! Yuanyuan, quickly say thanks to Feifei," Chen Jingde urged. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it with recommendation tickets and monthly tickets on Qidian. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
