Chapter 101: Chapter 95 Reality 3 Chapter 101: Chapter 95 Reality 3 (Faints, my head hurts badly, just one chapter today, sorry. Looking at the outline, I can’t produce the effect I want….)

“Damn it! Flying Swallow! How is this possible??” Sis seemed to remember something, his eyes filled with shock and suspicion.

“Fly… Flying Swallow!” On the side, Casey also seemed to understand something, and he panicked as he stepped back. Suddenly, a blue flame burst forth from his body, and the flames crazily spewed out of all his orifices. He fell to the ground with a thud.

Bang!

Sis was immediately blasted away by a tremendous counter-shock. Countless blue flames splattered.

“Unseal!” he screamed madly. His body turned pitch black. His aura skyrocketed past C-class, reaching B-class in the blink of an eye.

The figure seemed somewhat taken aback, tilting his head slightly to glance at Sis.

Sis roared madly, as a pair of black wings slowly emerged from his back. A tremendous rumble rose from beneath the earth. Black feathers fluttered down.

“Heh heh… even if it’s Flying Swallow…” Sis’s eyes turned completely golden.

The figure just watched him quietly.

“Thump thump thump!” With Sis charging madly ahead, each heavy step cracked the ground beneath, leaving countless fissures.

An endless black…

An ancient book, shimmering with faint silver light, slowly hovered in the void. The cover had no text, only silver.

Lin Fei stood silently in front of the ancient book. There was not a hint of life in his eyes.

“Where is this?” he whispered to himself.

All of a sudden, the entire black space centered around the ancient book was instantaneously filled with spreading white light, quickly engulfing all the surrounding darkness. A piercing roar thundered suddenly.

“Boom boom boom!!!!” The heavy sound of drums echoed like thunder.

The surrounding white light slowly faded with the drumbeats. When his vision cleared, he was high above a battlefield.

A long-haired man in white clothing, with a longsword at his waist, floated above the battlefield, and Lin Fei was right beside him.

The man’s face was emotionless, his eyes hollow and empty.

Below, countless horned humanoids and some surrounded by colorful glows fought fiercely, but Lin Fei did not recognize their origins.

“The war between the two realms has lasted too long,” the man said softly, touching the hilt of his sword and slightly opening a gap.

All the scenes once again reverted to the initial darkness. The ancient book still floated in front of Lin Fei, slowly turning to the first page.

**************

The sky was filled with flashing lightning and incessant thunder.

“Boom!”

Sis was once again knocked back, his body covered in blood. One of his wings had been ripped. He breathed heavily, his gaze fixated on the figure in front of him.

From the beginning to the end, the man in black had never moved an inch, just quietly standing in place, watching as Sis charged at him madly, only to be easily repelled by the countless swirling black shadows of swords time after time. It was as if Sis was performing a solitary play.

“Hm?” The figure suddenly uttered a soft exclamation. His body suddenly showed fine cracks, as if the mere projection of him had been disturbed.

The figure silently raised his head to look at the swirling sky above.

“Yan Shi! You are the strongest swordsman in the history of the Yan family!” That cold yet soft voice echoed in his ear again. “The strongest should not have weaknesses!”

He slowly reached out his hand, and the searing agony that burned his body in the last moment seemed as if it happened just a second before.

“Your life is so brilliant, yet you are lost?” a voice resounded in his mind.

“You don’t understand,” he replied.

“Heh heh… The saddest thing in the world is to hesitate. It hurts both yourself and others. Whether to choose others or choose yourself should be decided from the start. Is it that you don’t understand, or is it that I don’t?”

“Everyone has a weakness,” he said softly.

“How sad! No matter how many times, you will only ever be a loser,”

The voice fell silent all at once.

“From today during the daytime until tomorrow night, a widespread frosty weather will hit the Ping City area, please all citizens prepare for the cold weather…..”

Lin You yawned, holding the black cat Feil, and lazily watched TV on the couch. Her parents had been busy with branches and bringing gifts to leaders of various units recently, so often it was just her and Lin Fei at home.

“Why do we suddenly have frost? The weather is really annoying. If it’s too cold, I don’t want to go out for training,” Lin You said in a low voice.

“You don’t have to train, but when people from the Tower of Glory come to snap you, don’t regret it!” Feil shifted in Lin You’s arms to a more comfortable position.

“Ah~~~~~ when will these days end~~” Lin You sighed and leaned back on the sofa.

“Probably thirty years,” Feil immediately answered.

“You’ve actually calculated it….” Lin You’s face was covered with black lines.

“The coach I hired should be here. Show some respect to them when they arrive,” Feil reminded.

“Alright, alright,” Lin You replied helplessly. “But, have you noticed my brother has been acting stranger and stranger recently? I don’t even know what he was up to today.”

“He doesn’t have the aura of a Psychic, so he can’t possibly be one. However, he might be a Martial Artist,” Feil made a fair judgment, “But as you’ve told me before, your brother only began sword practice not long ago. Maybe he found a good master. As a Martial Artist, just a few years of persistence should be enough to start the Cultivation process, though it’s still early for him.”

“But that woman, and his mysterious behavior lately…” Lin You expressed her doubts.

“Many Martial Artists also belong to their own organizations. Our concern is whether your brother is being used by someone to get close to you. But looking at your brother, his thoughts are profound; his psychological age is far greater than his biological age. He should be fine,” Feil explained.

“I see,” Lin You nodded lightly. The more she learned about the world of Psychics, the more she realized her own ignorance. Often, she missed the days before her psychic awakening. There was no danger, no worry, just a calm life of study.

“Also, those lackeys from the Tower of Glory should have left. It seems someone is protecting us. It must be the people from your brother’s backing. Looks like your brother found himself a strong support,”

“Him? Doubt it, who would take an interest in him?” Lin You absolutely wouldn’t believe that Lin Fei would be favored by some notable figure. “People training in martial arts usually start from a young age.”

“That’s true,” Feil also became puzzled, “It’s troublesome, it would be much easier if we had our own network of informants.”

“Talking about it is just a waste of words,” Lin You said with a pout.

***********

On the road into Ping City.

A young man in a grey robe, looking like something out of a TV drama, slowly walked forward. His face stiff as a corpse’s, he kept his head down, carefully watching the road under his feet.

Cars passed by him incessantly, and traffic police dealing with a rear-end collision by the roadside, as well as the car owners involved, all seemed utterly unable to see him. He passed by them, completely unperceived.

“Whooosh!” A gust of Wind blew by.

Suddenly, the man raised his head, looking towards the distant sky. There, a large patch of clouds could be vaguely seen, swirling continuously.

***********

In the pitch-dark space.

Lin Fei looked at Yan Shi opposite him, and Yan Shi, undisturbed, returned the gaze. The Divine Beast, a huge deep blue creature with two wings spread wide, sheltered the two under its feathers.

“Had enough?” Lin Fei’s eyes were empty as he spoke softly, “A loser should return to the earth forever.”

Yan Shi kept silent, uttering not a word.

“My patience with you has reached its limit,” Lin Fei said to himself, as he slowly drew his Longsword.

“As long as I kill you, I can be reborn,” Yan Shi said in a deep voice.

“Ding….”

Lin Fei flicked the sword’s body, softly saying, “Flying Swallow Yan Shi, your era is over.”

“Clang!” A black light flew from Yan Shi’s waist.
