Chapter 744: Chapter 744_1

Scorpion knew their situation was bleak.

Considering the strict security outside, she wasn’t sure if they could actually escape.

Yan Ling saw her hesitation, squatted down, and said, "Don’t dawdle, we need to split up! I’ll go out and buy you some time, and you work on taking down all these walls. I got a rough idea of the area when we came in. We can regroup here."

Seeing Yan Ling gesture the route on the ground, Scorpion instantly figured out the plan.

Yan Ling wasn’t directly trying to transport the children out but was planning to hide them temporarily in a safer manner.

When the time is right, they could move them out.

Indeed this was a brilliant plan!

Otherwise, it would have been impossible to transport so many children in a trash can at once!

Scorpion calculated the rough distance. If Yan Ling could delay the guards for her, even if she had to put in extra effort here, she could certainly move the children to safety temporarily.

However, doing so would put all the danger on Yan Ling, and she couldn’t help but worry.

"Should we ask for Mole’s help? If there’s any danger, he can help you escape!"

Yan Ling knew Scorpion would make this suggestion out of concern for her safety.

But the fewer people involved at this point, the better. Even if they needed Mole’s help, they should wait until she had safely left this core area.

Otherwise, if something happened, they would all be defeated.

"Just focus on rescuing! Don’t worry about me, I have my escape plan."

Yan Ling then handed Scorpion a test tube, "After the children are rescued, use this to blow up this place!"

She had secretly concocted this chemical within the few days she had been in the lab.

Though it looked insignificant, its explosive power was substantial, enough to cause panic among the lab guards.

Scorpion carefully put away the tube upon hearing Yan Ling’s instruction and began working on their escape route.

Meanwhile, Yan Ling pushed the garbage cart and left.

However, she didn’t dare to go too far and decided to stay outside the Fifth Door.

Since there were no surveillance and guards here, her presence could temporarily hinder anyone trying to enter the secret lab.

...

As soon as Luo Qi left, Linxi engrossed herself in the surveillance, but everything appeared normal.

Under normal circumstances, such calm would have reassured her.

However, as time ticked by, she grew increasingly uneasy.

It was too quiet.

How could Wesley be so obedient?

"No good, I have to go check for myself. I can’t let anything go wrong at this crucial phase of the experiment!"

Restless, Linxi got up to go to the lab. However, as soon as she opened the door, she bumped into Adam, who was lurking outside.

Seeing Linxi come out, Adam swiftly hid his left hand behind him.

He nervously said, "Miss Linxi, I heard that you were watching the surveillance here. You should let us do this hard work for you. There’s no need for you to be on vigil yourself."

Linxi frowned, her gaze naturally falling on Adam’s left arm.

Adam quickly noticed this and said with a smile, "Miss Linxi, this is a gift for you!"

Linxi glanced at the flower without receiving it, and walked passed him.

"Miss Linxi, if you don’t like this flower, I can get you another one. Miss Linxi, wait for me..."

Adam was determined to take a bold step, even if he was ignored, he didn’t give up.

Linxi noticed him following her into the elevator. She was irritated, and sharply tossed his bouquet into a nearby trash can.

"Next time, if I see you bringing such stuff into the lab again, get the hell out of the Dark Empire!"

Linxi’s gaze was stern.

The lab was important to her, and she would not allow any accidents!
