"The boss said we should kidnap the little girl, but we’ve been staking out here for almost half an hour and there’s still no sign of her. How about we switch to another target?"

"Switch to who? Apart from the servants in the mansion, there’s only the old man and the brat. The old man looks like he could single-handedly take down a bull. If we kidnap him, I’m not sure if we could even make it out alive."

"Then let’s just kidnap the brat. He doesn’t seem threatening and he is Qi Yunjue’s offspring anyway. Isn’t it the same whether we kidnap the girl or the brat?"

"That does make sense. But we can’t make a move now. The surveillance and security of this mansion are too tight. Let’s wait till the middle of the night and then sneak in."

"Alright, let’s hide first."

As the two kidnappers were staking out near Qi’s Old House,

Qi Yunjue continually felt uneasy.

He glanced at his watch and asked Assistant Jin, "When did you locate the exact whereabouts of Black Python?"

Assistant Jin: "At 1:20 pm."

Which meant that almost half an hour had passed since then.

But the location on the map continued to be the same.

Qi Yunjue’s expression turned grim, "Have them all withdraw from the mountains right away."

Assistant Jin was baffled, "My Lord, this is the closest we’ve ever got to the Black Python’s location. If we retreat now, aren’t we going to miss out on the best opportunity to capture him?"

Qi Yunjue remained emotionless, "You said it yourself, it’s the closest we’ve ever been to him. But if so much time has already passed, he must be dead if he hasn’t shown any movement."

Upon hearing that, Assistant Jin’s face instantly became serious.

He had been negligent!

How could Black Python, such a wily character, not react at all upon his whereabouts being exposed?

The only plausible explanation was that he deliberately exposed his location.

It was a trap!

Upon realizing this, Assistant Jin immediately contacted the people pursuing Black Python.

However, by the time he made the call, he couldn’t reach any of those people.

Qi Yunjue had already predicted this situation. Keeping his cold expression, he told Jin, "Immediately contact the National Security Department. Have them send a team to Xiangshan to rescue the men."

Upon receiving the order, Assistant Jin immediately contacted people from the National Security Department.

At this moment, he felt an immense sense of relief. Thankfully, Lord Qi foresaw this.
