Chapter 271: Chapter 270: If you can, then you go ahead_1
The TV studio was plunged into chaos when the stuntman suddenly fell from the stunt rigging.
Just as somebody frantically tried to lift the stuntman up.
Yan Ling frowned and yelled sharply, "Don’t move him!"
The person instinctively loosened his grip on the stuntman after hearing the stern order.
Thankfully, Yan Ling was quick to react. She swiftly took a cushion prop from nearby and placed it under the stuntman.
Otherwise, he might have succumbed to secondary injuries before the doctor even arrived.
"Is there a first aid kit?"
As Yan Ling bent down to take the stuntman’s pulse, Professor Zheng asked General Manager Chen.
Chen snapped back to reality and immediately fetched a first aid kit.
Seeing Yan Ling still taking the stuntman’s pulse in the chaotic environment, Professor Zheng snorted, "What can you possibly discern from his pulse in this commotion? You’re just prolonging his suffering."
With that, he took out the relevant examination equipment from the first aid kit and began examining the stuntman.
Yan Ling ignored what Professor Zheng said and was completely focused on taking the stuntman’s pulse.
In the time it took her to do so, Professor Zheng had already completed a preliminary examination.
"The patient has four broken ribs, resulting in lung injuries. He could be in danger at any time and must be rushed to the hospital immediately for surgery."
Upon hearing Professor Zheng’s diagnosis, Chen panicked.
He immediately ordered his staff to send the stuntman to the hospital.
However, Yan Ling stopped him, "No, he has a history of acute asthma. If he is moved now and it triggers an asthma attack, he’ll die!"
Professor Zheng couldn’t believe how Yan Ling could diagnose the patient with a severe asthma just from feeling his pulse, especially since she hadn’t seen his medical history or conducted a CT scan.
With a stern face, he said to Yan Ling, "Do you know that because of your incorrect diagnosis, every second his surgery is delayed, his risk of dying increases?"
Before Yan Ling could speak, Chen chimed in.
"Dr. Yan’s diagnosis is not incorrect. This stuntman indeed has acute asthma. He just had an asthma attack a week ago!"
Now, it was Professor Zheng’s turn to be taken aback.
She had managed to diagnose a concealed medical history just by feeling his pulse, something he could only do using the first aid kit and the related equipment.
The comparison made it clear who was superior!
"Professor Zheng, this is not the time for disputing these matters. As you said, he must have surgery as soon as possible, but it would be too late to take him to the hospital; we must perform an emergency surgery right here. I need your assistance!"
After listening to Yan Ling’s words, Professor Zheng instinctively wanted to refuse.
He didn’t want to cooperate with a woman.
Additionally, he did not believe it was possible to perform surgery on site.
Surgery must be performed in a sterile environment; performing it in a large TV studio was simply preposterous!
But Yan Ling didn’t think it was a joke. Seeing that Professor Zheng did not respond, she turned around and gave orders to her team. "Avril, I need a temporary operating room. You can tear down the white fabric from the props and use them to create a private space around that movable stand. Then, disinfect the area with alcohol. Chen, you’re responsible for uniting unrelated people out of here, they shouldn’t disturb our operation!"
"Alright."
"Alright."
Watching as Avril and Chen unhesitatingly started executing Yan Ling’s orders, Professor Zheng stomped his foot in anger. "You’re messing around! You’re playing with the patient’s life!"
Yan Ling originally didn’t plan to argue with Professor Zheng, but his inability to prioritize at this crucial moment made her lose her patience: "Professor Zheng, if you’re capable, get to work! If not, shut up!"
