The hospital was a few kilometers away from the hotel, and it was the middle of the night. Though an ambulance was en route, it would take at least ten minutes to arrive.

Yan Ling didn’t understand why she had to surrender her phone in order to treat the patient.

The hotel manager explained, "Miss Yan, the guest inside is Fleck Edley."

Yan Ling shrugged and said, "I’m sorry, but I really don’t know him. If the condition for treating him is that I have to leave my phone behind, then I refuse to treat him!"

"Aren’t you a doctor? How can you be so uncaring about the patient’s condition?" The blonde woman seemed unprepared for Yan Ling’s stubbornness.

Upon hearing this, Yan Ling responded coldly, "Get your facts straight. If it wasn’t for your unreasonable request to have me leave my phone outside, I would have been inside treating the patient by now. It’s you who doesn’t care about the patient’s life or death, not me!"
