The next day of their stay in King Pingxi’s residence in the capital, Yue, Liu, Chang and the others got up very early to tidy up the residence they were occupying. After that Yue and Liu carrying a bowl of water each, a clean cloth and a cup of salt water, walked to the room Yanzhi and Xiao Ling were occupying. With a light knock on the door,

"Master! Mistress! Yue and Liu ask permission to enter." Yue politely said from outside.

"En!" was the short reply from Yanzhi who just opened his eyes sitting in crossed leg and was resting, Xiao Ling sitting the same way as him also opened his eyes hearing the voices of Yue and Liu.

Getting permission to enter, Yue slowly pushed the door opened and walked in with Liu. "Master! Mistress! Disciples have come to serve you" Yue informed.

Both Yanzhi and Xiao Ling sat at the edge of the bed as Yue respectfully served Yanzhi while Liu served Xiao Ling. They both washed their faces with the water from the bowl, rinsed their mouths with salt water and dried with the cloth.

"Thank you Yue, Liu." Xiao Ling smiled warmly and said, the two girls giggled happily. In his past life Xiao Ling wasn’t taken care of in this manner, everything was done by himself and took care of his own needs. But now being taken care of like this was new to him, but to his surprise he really likes it because those taking care of him, were doing it whole heartedly.

"You both help me get the food ingredients ready, I’ll come make breakfast now" Xiao Ling instructed them.

"Yes mistress!" the two girls nodded and were about to walk out.

"Wait!" Yanzhi stopped them in their tracks. "Take these along" Yanzhi took out four eggs from his space which were about thrice bigger than ostrich’s eggs. Yue and Liu held two each in their hands with a bit difficulty, it was as if they were holding boulders in their arms as they walked out of the room.

"Xiang gong what is that?" Xiao Ling asked with curiosity, he could clearly see that they were eggs but what animal eggs they were, he didn’t know. It was clear that the eggs were definitely from a magic beast, because there was no animal in the world they currently were in that could lay such a huge egg.

"It’s a fire bird’s egg. A 3 tier-high level magic beast. The eggs contains spiritual energy but not very much like the magic beast’s meat itself, so the little ones can absorb this with ease." Yanzhi satisfied his curiosity. Xiao Ling listened while getting dressed in new set of clothes.

"Oh and Xiang gong, it seems i couldn’t absorb qi last night, so i could only absorb some of the death qi i got to make it up" Xiao Ling said in dismay. He had planned on first absorbing qi from heaven and earth before supplementing with death qi. But then things didn’t go as he wanted, this place was as barren like they wasn’t even an ounce of qi in present, Xiao Ling was frustrated.

Seeing his distress, Yanzhi frowned. He already knew that the qi in the capital couldn’t be absorbed by them, because the qi here wasn’t pure like what they usually absorb. Infact the qi here was far worst than that of big stone village, and even the qi in big stone village wasn’t absorbed by them mostly. But instead it was the qi gathered directly from heaven and earth using the formations which were set up by Yanzhi, what they absorb was pure qi without any impurities.

"The qi here is so impure so it can’t get mixed up with the pure qi in your dantian, that’s why your meridians and dantian rejects it." Yanzhi explained. Xiao Ling who had long finished dressing up stood still in a complicated mood, if he couldn’t absorb qi here didn’t that mean he couldn’t cultivate while in the capital. Yanzhi smiled in satisfactory at his response. "Little wife is a good boy" he coaxed. Xiao Ling was flustered by such a remark, his cheeks turned red with a blush. "You.. what are you saying! I’m way old for such words!" he rebuked.

"Pfft! Little wife is way younger than me, so i could use such remarks on you." Yanzhi rebuked back rendering Xiao Ling speechless. ’Yanzhi could be narcissistic sometimes!’ he thought. But thinking logically and truthfully speaking Yanzhi wasn’t wrong about that, Xiao Ling had no words to fight back so he resigned to his fate. "I’m going to make breakfast!" he said and slipped away. His cute behavior made him seem coquettish and cute, Yanzhi grinned helplessly.

Xiao Ling made a heathy nutritious and hearty breakfast with the eggs Yanzhi gave. They all had smiles on their faces after eating such delicious breakfast which also provided them with spiritual energy, especially Lixin, Xile, no. 6 and 7 who this time around ate as much as the others. They couldn’t stop grinning the whole time. Tan Fan was once again glad with the choice he made, telling from the food he ate the previous night he could see changes in himself. The little internal energy force he could harness previously had multiplied about twice or thrice the amount after eating the food provided by his new master and absorbing the spiritual energy from the food throughout the night. Upon getting to the main house, they were met with King Pingxi and Jinhua who seemed have also just finished with their breakfast.

"Your excellency! Master Ling! I was just getting ready to come see you!" Jinhua greeted enthusiastically seeing them. King Pingxi nodded to them as a greeting, Yanzhi nodded back. With the series of events that happened the previous day, King Pingxi had come to terms that Yanzhi and Xiao Ling aren’t people who will ever bow to others, even if it was the royal family. So he no longer expected them to treat him like how others will. He was happy with the little respect they showed him.

"Well, we were going out and stopped by to say hello before leaving." Xiao Ling simply explained the reason for their visit to the main house.

"If i may ask where are you headed to?" Jinhua suddenly blurted without thinking.

"Forgive me for my intrusion" he quickly bowed and apologize remembering who he was talking to. With how he previously lived before meeting Yanzhi, he was used to people answering to him about every little thing. So he inquired about where Yanzhi and Xiao Ling were going forgetting that the two weren’t the same as the people who will answer to him every now and then.

"Just to see around. The time to return, we don’t know so don’t wait to for us." Xiao Ling answered not seeing any problem with Jinhua inquiring about their whereabouts. Yanzhi also arched his brows and glanced once before shifting his eyes away not caring. Xiao Ling talked a little with Jinhua before leaving King Pingxi’s residence in their carriage, King Pingxi offered to have guards with them, but they rejected him flatly.

Not long after they left the residence, a carriage rode in at speed. A man more or less the same age as King Pingxi jumped down the carriage and trotted at a fast pace into the house.

"Old King! Old King here i come!" the man’s loud voice echoed in the house, his voice was filled with unrestrained excitements.

King Pingxi who was resting against the chair raised up his head, and Jinhua who was walking away also stopped in his tracks and turned back.
