" Come and unpack the things on the cart into the room " YanZhi ordered before he went to seat himself down... Xiao Ling walked into the kitchen and fed himself a cup of ice water before taking out the tea set to make tea for YanZhi. He sat beside YanZhi and watched Yue and the Lu’s unpack the things in the carriage into the rooms, after they were done Yue led the horses and cart to the back. The Lu’s were stunned to see YanZhi took out ten to fifteen large jars from nothing, since they didn’t know about YanZhi’s space they thought he just made the jars appeared out of nothing.. they were shocked seeing that for the first time but they immediately got over it since they had seen strangest things around YanZhi.

It wasn’t because Yanzhi trusted them that was why he showed them his space, it was just that he was testing them to see how they’ll fair and if they would manage to earn his trust or try to betray him. YanZhi could wipe out their memories of things they’ve seen using his soul probing technique but he chose not to do so and test them first,

" Xiong Gong please help me with Yue to bring out the fruits from the inner room... and Lixin, Shuchang, Xiao Mi and Lan Fen help me bring out all the big basins from the kitchen and fill a few of them with water from the well at the back. " The Lu’s went to the kitchen to do what they were told and YanZhi and Yue followed Xiao Ling into the inner room as he opened the dungeon portal to take out some of the fruits for wine, he wasn’t like YanZhi who didn’t care whether people saw his dungeon or not. Xiao Ling would never show his dungeon to anyone he didn’t trust and YanZhi understood him, because the reason why he was careless was because he could wipe out the memories of whoever saw his space and want to bring harm to him (YZ) because of greed.

They took baskets and filled them with the fruits and took them one after the other until Xiao Ling thought that was right for now since the fruits were to be used for cold drinks and Jams, he thought he had to pick some more and to plant some using their qi which can turn seedlings into adult trees in minutes.

When everything for the wine making was set Yue, and the Lu’s started helping Xiao Ling in washing the fruits, they first started with wild berries... after washing them two to three times they chop them before Xiao Ling filled them in a ratio of one to two which was one part berries and two parts sugar since the wild fruits weren’t as sweet as the breed fruits in the modern world... he didn’t want the wine to be too bitter, he tightly sealed it and left it to strain it the next day. YanZhi looked at him curiously as he sealed the jar he walked to them and asked Xiao Ling.

" Wife are you done? Should I start aging it now? " he asked thinking Xiao Ling was done with the wine making process, Xiao Ling shook his head.

" nNo, after I strain it tomorrow then you can start... it’s not done yet for now " YanZhi nod and returned back to sit and watched them continued with the rest of the fruits which were wild plums, wild apples, pomegranates, wild peaches, wild strawberries and lastly wild grapes. By the time they were finally done the sky had already darkened and it was past dinner time, they quickly cleaned the things they used before the Lu’s left to their home for dinner... Xiao Ling didn’t make his mind to make dinner because they didn’t really need to eat all the time. Although both him and Yue weren’t like YanZhi who food, sleep and water didn’t matter to him, he just do all those mundane things because he wants to but Xiao Ling and Yue had been taking the fasting pills YanZhi refines since they take that in order not to feel the need to eat when they are cultivating.YanZhi and Xiao Ling were left alone in the house after Yue also left, they conversed about random things for a while before going in to rest.

The following day was the day when the workers were to start their training, Yue arrived very early when the sky was still dark... When she walked into the yard Xiao Ling and YanZhi were already up and straining the wine into new jars. She assisted them strain all wines into new jars before sealing tightly and YanZhi transferred them into his space to start with the aging, with three hands they finished early when the sky started to brighten. Xiao Ling made them some simple breakfast which was steamed buns with pork fillings and congee, the Lu’s walked into the front yard along with a new face when YanZhi, Xiao Ling and Yue were still in the process of eating. The Lu’s cupped their hands and greeted and the young man who was with them imitated their actions.

" Master your disciples are here... mistress, eldest sister Yue " the Lu’s greeted from YanZhi to Xiao Ling and Lastly Yue making YanZhi nod in satisfactory. The Lu’s stood aside and waited for them to finish with their breakfast, the front door was knocked and Lixin opened the door for Xiao Ling’s workers who started to arrive in ones and twos, after greeting they also stood aside for YanZhi, Xiao Ling and Yue to focus on eating. After eating Xiao Mi and Lan Fen took away the dishes to wash and clean the table, since they were Yue’s juniors it would be disrespectful for them to leave the washing of the dishes to her.

" Lixin... who’s the young man you brought without informing master first? " YanZhi asked in an indifferent tone which made the young man shrank his neck..... Xiao Ling placed his hand on YanZhi’s shoulder and spoke.

" Xiong Gong i forgot to inform you that I ask him to get me someone who was good in making snacks.... that’s him right? " Lixin cupped his hands and nod as Xiao Ling explained to YanZhi.

" Mistress this is Kang Yuhang he lives in the county, he used to work for a stall which sold snacks but the snack shop was shut down and he was looking for another place to work... I brought him so mistress would test him for the job.. " Lixin answered respectfully and YanZhi nodded, all his workers were present along with two new faces who Xiao Ling was thinking they were brought by Yuxuan since they were also dressed like scholars. He called forth the three new faces and asked them questions, he decided to give Yuhang the position of pastry chef and his pay was three taels, after signing the contract he also received a tael as advance. The reason he wanted a pastry chef was that he thought that it would be better to take one oven to the shop since there was a room at the restaurant for them and they could stay there once in a while, he would bake the pastries there instead of home and have them sent all the time. And another reason was he thought simple pastries could be baked by the chefs as he would have YanZhi set the oven in the right temperature for baking simplest pastries which did not need to set the temperature of the oven to certain degrees.... he’d teach Yuhang to bake such pastries using the oven from now until the restaurant is opened for work.

The other two who knew how to read and write and were knowledgeable were both boys since in this era girls and gers weren’t allowed to learn, Guozhi and Jianyu.... Guozhi was given the same position as Yuxuan which was server and the pay was three taels. And Jianyu who knew accounting more was going to help at the counter, his pay was also three taels.. they also took their silvers after signing the contract and were also going to help with teaching the others. After everything was done Xiao Ling took out the paper on which he wrote the detailed recipes for the dishes for the restaurant and gave it to Yanbei, he asked Yanbei and the other two cooks to practice them. They were abundant of foodstuffs which Xiao Ling stocked for this purpose, he’d taste them after every dish and if they are corrections he’d correct them, YanZhi who didn’t really like the crowd left the house with Yue and the Lu’s to the mountain to practice giving Xiao Ling space to do his thing.

He demonstrated the work of the servers and explained in detail, he demonstrated how to in modern world guests are welcomed in big restaurants to them. And ask them all to practice with smiling faces, he took Yuhang to the room for entertaining guests where one of the oven was placed in a corner... Yuhang was able to read but not write so he could read the pastry recipes which Xiao Ling handed to him. Xiao Ling practiced making very simple recipes with him using the oven to bake, all the workers who saw the novel things like the fridge, ice cube maker, the sieve and other things Xiao Ling had crafted for him didn’t ask any questions involving them. They just admired the things and put the questions behind their minds, after practicing work related stuffs for hours Xiao Ling had them stop and practiced learning characters and calligraphy for a couple of hours before they left.

For days days the workers would come and practice work related stuffs for some hours and after they learn... one morning everything was left in the hands of Yue, YanZhi and Xiao Ling head to the county on horse backs. When they got to the shop it was locked and brother Song wasn’t there with his team, the exterior of the shop was completed with the stall attached which Xiao Ling asked brother Song to make. They head to brother Song’s shop to look for him, brother Song was happy to see them and he informed them that the shop was completed... he followed them back to the shop and opened the door, after inspecting the final work Xiao Ling paid him the rest of their pay...

" Brother Song thank you for your hard work " Xiao Ling said with a smile which made brother Song smiled sheepishly.

"Brother Song when will guys be able to start on the house? Here is the plan for the house " YanZhi asked him and passed him the plans he took from his sleeve.... brother Song looked at it excitedly and went through it.

" I can take my team there tomorrow and start since they’ve already gotten to rest " brother Song said happily as he was eager to see the house also take shape " you don’t need to buy the bricks, we can make them " he informed and both Xiao Ling and YanZhi nodded.

" We’ll hire a few people from the village to help, brother Song since we’ll be busy with the restaurant for a while we’ll leave everything about the house in your capable hands... just let us know if you need anything we’ll give you the money for it. For now this is three hundred taels to start with " YanZhi said and gave the money to him as they signed a contract for the house, they agreed on brother Song hiring cooks since they’ll be staying on the mountain until the house is completed. After everything was finalized they had him fixed their completed carriage to their horses before they left back for the village, they visited the village head’s and asked him to help them hire fifty people to help brother Song with the building of the house to speed up.... the fifty people will be paid forty cents including meals. They left the village head’s house after he agreed to help them leaving everything about the hiring and paying in his hands.
