Xiao Ling started to ask them all sorts of questions with pressure giving them no break or time to think.. he ask them question after question in a way to mess up their minds and see which of them can stay calm and focus on serving and work when pressure is on them... he stopped asking the questions after a while and swept through them as he was in a deep thought before he pointed one boy and one girl and asked them to step forward from the rest, he asked them their names and where they were from after they stepped forward... the boy was named Li Haoran and coincidentally he stays at the northwest of the village which made him a fellow villager but Xiao Ling did not know him..

" Yuxuan server, knowledgeable and good memory.. that’s your position and you’ll be paid three taels monthly. You’ll also start receiving your training starting from the day after tomorrow. " he said to Yuxuan and explained what a server’s job was to him before Xiao Ling gave him the contract and he signed and took his tael of silver as advance " Yuxuan can you get me two people who can read and write... they should be honest and hard-working, bring them along with you the day after tomorrow " Yuxuan nod in understanding before he was also asked to stand aside with the selected group. Although his craft couldn’t compare to Xiao Ling’s craft at all it could be compared to the famous restaurants in the county, so that was a half pass for him the second evaluation was done in the kitchen when Xiao Ling checked the condition of the kitchen and nodded in satisfactory again when he saw that the kitchen wasn’t in a mess but clean... before he checked the remaining foodstuffs and finally decided to give Yanbei the work since he knew how to manage, he didn’t make the kitchen messy when he cooked and his craft was okay too.. Xiao Ling went back outside and took his seat as Yanbei waited nervously.

" Yanbei efficient in the kitchen, experienced, cleanliness, good craft... your position will be Executive Chef. Meaning you’re the main chef in the restaurant and you’ll be six taels monthly .... "

Yanbei who wasn’t there when the contract was read didn’t have any trouble as he was able to read so after reading he readily signed the contract along with the three and took their silvers each before going back to stand at the side. The over four left were one ger, two girls and one boy who were named Tang Jia a girl from Yujia village, Han Haoyu a girl in big stone village, Feng Yuchen a ger from big stone village and Cao Jianyu a boy from the next village..... Xiao Ling continued on with questions for a while before he stopped and called forth Jia and Jianyu

" Jia responsible and patient, your position is kitchen manager and you’ll be paid three taels monthly. Your job is to manage the whole kitchen and always make sure it’s in good condition for the chefs to use.. your line of work is a manager just like the two managers but your side is only the kitchen which makes the assistant manager your senior and the general manager your superior too. " Jianyu you sound and look organized and it seems you’ll be a good team player, your position is beverage manager and you’ll be paid three taels. You’ll be in charge of making the drinks in the restaurant, starting from the day after tomorrow I’ll be teaching you all about beverages and how to make the ones which will be sold in the restaurant " Jianyu nodded, signed his contract and took his silver before going to stand aside. " Haoyu fast learner, your position will be the prep cook and you’ll be paid 3 taels... you’ll be in charge of getting the food ingredients ready for the chefs to use, your training starts the day after tomorrow " Xiao Ling said to the girl Haoyu and she nodded before signing the contract and took her silver then went to stand with the kitchen staffs... Xiao Ling finally set his eyes on the ger, he had no talents and was very timid and all over but Xiao Ling didn’t want to reject him with the way his eyes were pleading...

" Yuchen your position will be the dish washer and you’ll be paid two taels... you’ll be in charge of washing the dishes... you don’t have to come for any training but if you want to get to know your colleagues, you can come " he said to Yuchen and he also signed his contract disheartened as he was the only one who didn’t get a good position, he took his silver and stood aside.
