"Yue is here to help just sit and wait " he walked into the kitchen followed by Yue to start cooking... he let Yue get the fire starting and let her handle the cutting of the vegetables and cooking ingredients which needed to be dealt with.. he walked to where the fridge was kept and opened it and took out the rest of the milk and poured it in a pot and added sugar for taste, after boiling the milk for some few minutes he took the pot off the stove and transfer the milk into a clean bowl and put it in the fridge. He took another bowl and filled it with water and added sugar for taste before stirring it to dissolve the sugar completely before it also went into the fridge.. he washed the pot he used to boil the milk and brought it to the stove again.

Xiao Ling took out some few jelly fruits from the dungeon and washed then prepared a basin of cold water before cutting the jelly fruits and took out the seeds, he wrapped the seed in a clean cotton towel and tie the opening... he then immersed the whole end with the seeds into the basin of cold water. He took out some few wild strawberries from the dungeon and watched them cleanly cut them and took out the seeds he could before putting them into the pot... set it aside and went back to the jelly he was making he took out the towel and squeezed the towel firmly and called for Yue who he asked to rub and squeeze out the milky white pectin inside, after that the whole process was done. Xiao Ling carefully picked out the seeds which accidentally got into the basin.

Yue who was done with her side watched the water stay as it was making her confused of what exactly Xiao Ling was doing.

" Mistress is it done? " she couldn’t help but ask which made Xiao Ling chuckled before he knew she was still skeptical about it.

" Yes just let it set for a quarter of an hour.. then it’s ready " she nodded as he informed. Xiao Ling went back to the stove, took the pot of cut strawberries and put over the stove... he measured sugar and added it to the pot and started stirring and crushing the strawberries into fine pulps as he continued stirring non-stop, sweet fragrance started to feel the kitchen after the sugar was dissolved completely mixing with the strawberries as it thickened.. Yue who was by his side couldn’t help but swallowed hard drooling.

" Mistress what are you making? it smells nice " she said with her attention fixed to the pot to the point of her stretching her neck and watching inside carefully making Xiao Ling chuckled..

" It’s called Jam.. do you want to have a taste? " he asked as he took off the pot from the stove after it thickened to the constituent he wanted and Yue nodded as if she was pecking grains, Xiao Ling raised the wooden spoon took her hand and wiped the spoon on her hand making her beamed excitedly licking her hand clean.

" Mistress it’s really sweet... I’ve never heard anything like this " she praised making Xiao Ling laughed.

" Do you like it? I’ll make it using other fruits next time, you’ll get to eat them in different flavors " Xiao Ling pat her head like he’d do to every kid and said which made her smiled more.. he transfered the Jam into a small jar and set it aside to cool down.. he took the basin of water which had already turned into jelly, when Yue saw how it turned after it had set she was stunned. Xiao Ling cut the jelly into small cubes and transfered them into a clean bowl and put it into the fridge... after he was done with things for the deserts he started cooking.

He was already sufficient and with Yue’s help he was done in about half an hour as the sky had darkened... Yue went to get the candles and lit them up one for the kitchen and one for the bedroom as for the front yard where they always eat it was bright with the help of the moonlight. Xiao Ling and Yue served the food and water before taking their seats to eat.. being grandma Shen’s first eating Xiao Ling’s craft she was just like everyone who had it for the first time savoring the taste with Caicai swallowing one after the other without taste.

" Little wife your crafts are always taste good with different dishes everyday " YanZhi praised making him shy.. after dinner and they packed the empty dishes and cleaned the table he went back to the kitchen with Yue to serve desert... he crushed some ice cubes with shear strength of his fists into a basin along with Yue turning the ice cubes into shaves since the ice shave machines are yet to be ready, he took five bowls and filled them half way through with shave ice. He added the fillings the chunky red mung beans paste and cooling green mung beans before pouring some of the condensed milk he made over....

He took another ten bowls and filled them half way through with the cube jelly, he poured the milk he over five of the jelly and the order five he poured the dissolved sugar water, after he added a spoon full strawberry jam to all ten jelly deserts before he covered the rest of the jam in the jar and put it in the fridge along with the rest of the other things since he made a lot and there more left. He served the cold deserts with Yue... being their first time seeing such things everyone was surprised even YanZhi was stunned....

" Little wife what are these? " YanZhi asked as he looked curiously.

" I made them to eat as deserts... I’m planning on selling them in the restaurant so I wanted you to have a taste first " Xiao Ling explained.

" Ah little wife is always thinking of me first... of course I ought to be the first to eat all the good things you make " YanZhi said in a flirtatious tone making Xiao Ling blushed hard... they started to taste the deserts starting with the baobing Chinese shave ice, Yue smacked her lips as she kept scooping with her spoon into her mouth not minding the mind freeze she gets from the ice and so did grandma and YanZhi.

" What do you think.. will it sell? " Xiao Ling asked them

" Xiao Ling this thing only rich people can afford... it taste so delicious that it would be sold in only the famous restaurants and costly. even if people like us want to a taste we can’t afford such good thing " grandma Shen said regretfully.

" Little wife’s crafts should of course be costly... it’ll sell, definitely " YanZhi said as he assured him and grandma Shen couldn’t help but nod in agreement because she knew for sure that it’ll sell... the taste and texture everything was novelty which the rich people would definitely want, it was just people like her can’t afford it... Xiao Ling sighed and relax hearing all their assuring and ratings, after finishing the first desert they continued with the jelly which had the sugar water...

They praised it too and assured of it’s selling.. then they continued with the last which was the jelly with the milk, that one too was also liked and praised.. after having all deserts they felt as if their stomachs would explode which just a poke making them all sat lazily and no one wanted to get up.

" Among all the deserts which did you like most? " Xiao Ling asked.

" All was good and unique, the first one with the ice like snow had it’s own unique taste and texture and it’ll be better if eating in the midday when the sun is at its peak.. and I think the other two could eating any time.. the jelly thing dissolves when it gets into the mouth, both taste good the only difference was one was with milk and one was sugar water giving the different unique taste " grandma Shen and Yue nod agreeing with everything YanZhi stated...

" I can’t choose.. I just want to eat all of the everyday " Yue said cheerfully.

" It’s hard to choose one... all are novelty and taste good " grandma added and they ended up with no one choosing favorites. They talked for a while before Xiao Ling mentioned why he kept grandma Shen, he gave her a business idea of raises ducks and selling them to him for his restaurant which grandma readily agreed to since it’ll bring her some money... they signed a long term co-operation contract with her. She gave them the clothes she brought and they gave her three taels which was for the clothes and a deposit for their cooperation, while grandma Shen left YanZhi’s place with smiles on both her and Caicai’s faces, the Jun family were in chaos.

Yue left them and went back to the mountain after cleaning up everything and washing the dishes... YanZhi locked the door after her and set up a barrier around the house. Xiao Ling went to see the horses and took out all the grasses from his dungeon they brought for the horses and fed them two wild apples each..... Xiao Ling took his bath after YanZhi before they offed all the candles and went to bed, Xiao Ling cuddled into YanZhi’s arms and took the initiate to kiss him which YanZhi happily welcomed and deepened it, after kissing and sucking each other’s faces for almost an hour YanZhi decided to end it there and Xiao Ling buried his face into YanZhi’s chest...

" Those Jun family are really persistent... should we deal with them? " Xiao Ling’s muffled voice sounded. Xiao Ling couldn’t careless whether the Jun family are dealt with or not at first, but now they were starting to rub him off and consistently keep coming back, it was a waste of time for him to indulge them everytime they come.

" No! ... " he felt the vibration from YanZhi’s voice as he answered " don’t waste time with them... they’re going to ruin themselves sooner or later.
