With that the battle came to an end and they both withdraw their techniques and got down from the arena. They went up the platforms and cupped respectfully to Yanzhi and Xiao Ling.

"That was a good spar, you both did well." Xiao Ling praised.

"No, I lost to elder brother Frost King." Yue shook her head and said, she turned to face Frost King "thank you elder brother Frost King, for enlighting me." she cupped respectfully to him.

"Ah, what are you saying Ice Queen? We both did our best, we both have a lot to learn so let’s learn together." Frost King smiled at her sweetly...

"Since you know and learnt from your mistakes, just go back and cultivate with the enlightenment you’ve attained." Yanzhi interjected.

Xiao Ling was stunned by Frost King’s action but he was left even speechless by Bee’s strong reaction. He lower his eyes with some thoughts and confusion, his lashes fluttering. "Okay, go back to your seats. Liu and Shadow go ahead to the arena." Yanzhi shooed them away being annoyed by their noises. After they all left and Liu and Shadow went into the arena which was fixed looking brand new after Yue and Frost King destroyed it making holes everywhere. Xiao Ling leaned towards Yanzhi "Xiang gong is something going on between Yue and Bee?" he asked curiously. "En. It seems they want to be each other’s Dao, but they keep pulling in and out like how those mortals do. Forming Dao for cultivators isn’t that complicated, let them be whenever they’re ready I’ll help them form the contract." Yanzhi shrugged and looking unbothered. Xiao Ling nodded and asked no more. Watching the fight between Frost King and Yue, Liu decided to go all out using her main technique. The scene in Shadow’s eyes changed, he found himself in a forest with beautiful trees in full bloom. But to those watching from outside the protective shield covering they only saw Shadow stopped fighting and standing there dumbly as Liu was approaching him slowly with her sword unsheathed.

"Why did Shadow stop fighting? She’s walking towards him...and it seems he can’t see her?" Xiao Ling whispered to Yanzhi doubtfully. "He has fallen into an illusion." Yanzhi explained.

Shadow noticing something wrong calmed down his nerves, perking up his ears he stared focusing on sounds instead of using his eyes. Fwoosh! He dodged and took a few steps back from where he stood.

Moving between all places he had been with shadow link, he began navigating all sounds made by Liu and fought back. The battle returned to a heated fierce battle once more even though he was still caught in her illusion and unable to break out, he still fought well.

His daggers and her sword continued to clash.

Moving in a blink of an eye he appeared behind Liu holding her in place and his dagger on her neck. He frowned inexplicably feeling no reaction from the person in his arms.

The sound of laughter resounded everywhere as the figure in his arms turned into flower petals blown by the wind.

Two big sword slash came from no where. "Ahhh!" Liu screamed and fell as her illusion broke, revealing her to his eyes seeing her on the floor holding her injured arm. Shadow revealed himself from the shadows and helped her up, they ended their battle and went down the arena to Yanzhi and Xiao Ling. Yanzhi and Xiao Ling said a few words of encouragements to them and sent them back to their seats. Knight and Lin were next to go up the arena after it was fixed.

Just when they stared their battle, a shadow made from nothing appeared to Xiao Ling. "They’re here?" Xiao Ling asked as if he already knew. "Yes." the shadow spoke. "Chang, go down and bring doctor Shi and Jinhua up." he ordered without looking. Chang stood up and cupped respectfully before leaving. "Come back into my shadow." he ordered and the shadow melted into his shadow. They quietly watched Lin and Knight battling in thrill for sometime, after a while the battle ended and the two came back to them. After a few words of encouragement Yanzhi turned to Knight with a look of interest.

"What is the technique you used?" he inquired.
